TALENT & ACQUISITION
In 2016 - 2017 the new Talent Acquisition and Development department was launched within Human Capital Management. The new focus calls for strengthened customer relationship building and personal recruitment marketing. The work is targeted at attracting and engaging talent of all kinds toward careers in the Fort Worth ISD, and do it in a personal way. Activities include targeted social media, screening through face-to-face interviews, webinars and how-to seminars, and various forms of outreach. Some of the comments through social media include thousands of likes, views and statements regarding Fort Worth ISD’s fresh look, short and inspiring videos, and sentiment that it’s a good idea to “keep an eye on Fort Worth ISD.”
Another recruitment effort involved escorting new talent to visit neighborhood campuses. Our visitors reported, “I love the tour; what a unique way to show your district; I was inspired by FWISD’s personable administrators and the enthusiasm of the students!” We are reaching our goal when engaged followers state, “I wasn’t even looking for a new school district when I saw all that was going on at the Fort Worth ISD.” Spring 2017 saw the launch of “Your Future Is In Our Classroom” — a series of short target market video messages inspiring viewers to see themselves as a teammate in the Fort Worth ISD in the future. This latest effort was kicked-off by our Superintendent, Dr. Kent P. Scribner. The message for teachers, substitutes, administrators, bus drivers and others was “Fort Worth ISD is the place you want to be!”
"I appreciate all of your kindness during the past few months. Thank you for your help during the accreditation of my credentials and certification to become a FWISD teacher. I was surprised of your knowledge of the process and extremely thankful for your support.” — MICHAEL MANGRUM —
