Wizard Weekend on the Watercress Line
There are lots of spooky activities to keep the kids entertained. ALL activities run from 11am – 4pm and are included in your ticket price. • Travel on the thrilling Wizard Express steam train • Walk in Harry Potter’s footsteps over the famous railway footbridge where Harry received his Hogwarts Express ticket in the film! • Be brave and get up close to hairy, scary, creepy creatures! • Be spooked by some scary characters (courtesy of Go Geek events) • Get your face painted into something spooky! A Halloween feast of ghosts and other ghastly goings-on for adults only The tour lasts 1.5 hours and starts at the Visitor Information Centre. Adult tickets are £7. The tour will take place rain or shine so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Tours will leave promptly so please arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. The centre will be closed when you arrive for the tour so please wait outside the main doors and the guide will meet you there.

Halloween Ghost Walks at Basing House

Take an after-dark tour of the ruins with our knowledgeable guide – if you dare! Hear about the real historic events that led to the fall of this grand house and the spooky local stories that have surrounded it ever since... This event is not suitable for young children. Children must be accompanied at all times. Tours will begin the Great Barn. Tickets £13.50 per person Tours start at 5.30pm, 7pm and 8.30pm at Basing House. Not suitable for very young children.

Come and explore the spooky Westgate Museum this Halloween!
Find out how the Tudors celebrated Halloween and take home a historic recipe to make over the half term. Learn how this medieval gate was used as a debtor’s prison, marvel at the historic markings left by prisoners and judge for yourselves if the Westgate is haunted. See if you can find all the witches in our new activity trail too! Last entry to the museum is 4.30pm.
Halloween Make and Take Weekend at Bursledon Mill
Join the windmill for a family friendly make and take drop-in weekend, including ghost and witch-themed crafts and a nature activity pack. Come along in your best spooky fancy dress! Tickets£4 per child, accompanying adults free From 4pm at Bursledon Windmill.
