“Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus.” Romans 16:3
I
dedicate this month’s article to all of my team members that serve with me in both congregations. Paul used the last part of the letter to the Romans to mention the name and a brief comment about those who assisted him. Look at the intimacy and diversity: “Our sister, which is a servant of the church…” “My helpers in Christ...who have laid down their own necks…” “My well-beloved who is the firstfruits…” “Who bestowed much labour on us…” “Fellow prisoners…” “Kinsmen…” The group included women, relatives and friends both young and old. Paul knew that he could not do Kingdom work by himself; he needed to be surrounded by faithful people each with their personality, gift and experience. I learn from Paul to thank and acknowledge those who serve alongside me. I thank members of both Cores and their wives for serving selflessly week after week. I thank the ministers and their wives who have involved themselves in serving in Life Groups, prayer, the connection room and for being available to marry and bury, visit hospitals and encourage others. I thank my family who serves by my side and has done so for that last 27 years. My appreciation also to the soldiers whose names are not mentioned, who never speak from the platform and whom the spotlight never

touches. They work quietly behind the curtain, serving, ushering, and greeting, teaching children, cleaning and doing a hundred other things. I thank the office staff and volunteers who make things happen. My gratitude goes to the intercessors and prayer warriors, many of them senior citizens who continue to pray for us on a daily basis. Most of these men and women work 40 or more hours per week yet are willing to arrive at 8:30am on Sundays, (some even earlier) or serve a night or two during the week to ensure that the work of the Lord continues to move forward.

Because the Bible says: “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.” Acts 2:38 We believe in the infilling of the HOLY GHOST with the evidence of SPEAKING IN TONGUES. Because the Bible says: “and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost… for the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even many as the Lord our God shall call.” Acts 2:38, 39 We believe and preach that the believer should LIVE IN HOLINESS. Because the Bible says: “Follow peace with all men,
