PASTOR’S THOUGHTS SENIOR PASTOR SAM VALVERDE

COME THERE IS MORE! d

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf.” Hebrews 6:19, 20 This month’s Pastor’s Pen article incorporates a passionate article written by our Life Group Director Wendell Wright. Those of you acquainted with brother Wright, know he loves the Lord and shows it in his talk and his walk; his conversation and conduct. Our brother is passionate about his relationship with God, generous with his time, talents and resources and has proven his loyalty to the Lord and to FTC. Feel that passion and heed the call as he shares his heart with us. At the end of his article and invitation I share the sermon series SHARE+ titles and purpose. Enjoy! Pastor Sam Valverde COME, THERE IS MORE! By Wendell Wright The month of March is Life Group Awareness Month. Our theme, Come, There is More, will spark a revival, as we ask every Life Group Leader to make a self-examination, compare yourself to what God wants in your life. Because being a Life Group Leader entails ministering. The Life Group Leadership will lead by example. I know in my spirit that the Lord is leading FTC behind the Veil. In order for all of us to experience revival, we must seek the perfect will of God. We must be willing to leave our current place of comfort and halt all attempts to “do it our way.” In March I am asking for your complete cooperation as we seek the face of God, the way that God wants us to. This is the increase that Pastor Sam preached about in the month of January followed by Worship in the month of February. This month, because we will seek the Lord with a clean heart, we will ask Him for the spirit of cooperation to allow each of us to forsake our own thoughts, sins, ideas, and individual hurts, and allow us to humble ourselves, as we join in with one accord. I invite you to attend worship services with the correct mindset. Let’s experience MORE in our lives.

SWAG - Junior High Ministry Praise the Lord SWAG Juniors Parents & Friends, February was our kick-off month for our SWAG Next Generation Juniors Ministry at FTC. It was well received as we had a record number of attendance all month. Our theme for the month was “Knowing God Personally.” This topic focused on our student’s walk with Christ and how to adjust daily living to make Jesus Christ the center of their lives. The theme for March is “Faith as Mustard Seed, great things grow from small beginnings”. Although we have begun with a strong student attendance, we still believe that there are more SWAG Junior students who can benefit from our Sunday school classes. If you are a parent with son or daughter ages 11-14 bring them to our class located in room 206 so that we can get to know them. We are confident that they will enjoy our fantastic teachings and fellowship. In addition, on March 14, 2015 we are taking our SWAG Junior students to UC Riverside for a challenge course. The course is intended to incite team building, develop confidence in oneself, and have a wonderful time with their peers. Again, thank you for all your support and should you need to contact us please stop by to see us in Room 206 or email us at swagjuniors2015@ gmail.com. We look forward to meeting you soon. Anyone that is interested in becoming a Life Group leader, please contact Bro Wendell Wright at 951-237-3168.

PASTOR’S THOUGHTS

There is a wonderful scripture in the Book of Psalms. I will leave you with the task of finding where it is found. Please when you find it, text the location to me at 951-237-3168. This is a form of unity. The scripture asks, or informs you. You choose the way you receive it. The scripture says, “Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered.” The Lord is offering to each of us an entrance, an invitation to penetrate Behind the Veil where the enemies of God cannot come. What an invitation. All you have to do is COME because there is More! THE REQUEST During the month of March. Starting Sunday March 1rst, I am asking for all Life group leaders to attend a special prayer in the Prayer room, every Sunday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30a.m. Jesus asked his disciples if they could pray with him for just 1 hour. It was a time for allowing the Spirit to force the flesh to submit to the will of God. I am willing to personally announce that my family is under attack of the enemy. I understand that the weapons of MY warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty through GOD. There are many families that are under a spiritual attack from the enemy and we (Life Group leaders) must enter into MINISTRY. However first we have to be strong in the Lord. Then we have to put on the whole armor of God. Then and only then, will we be able to enter into spiritual warfare, Gods way. Our goal is to HELP the families that God is allowing us to come into contact with. Let me share a word that I received a long time ago. You can use this. It is a game changer. Anytime you do anything for Christ, you must know that: “GOD’S WORK, DONE GOD’S WAY WILL ALWAYS HAVE GOD’S SUPPRORT!” God’s will never send us into battle, without His full support, if we do it God’s way. Let each of us, humble ourselves and pray, seek His face, and TURN from our wicked ways. This is a time for the families to come to these prayer sessions. My children and your children are coming under attack. Life Group Leaders - bring your families to Sunday morning prayer so that they will be covered under the protection of the Lord. LIFE GROUP LEADERS TRAINING SATURDAY MARCH 21ST We will have a Life Group Leaders Training on Saturday March 21st, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in room 210. Some of the topics we will cover require your input. Please submit any scenarios, difficult questions, issues and cases or situations you have encountered. We want to be able to understand what the body of Christ is going through. It is highly important that each of you plan to attend the Life Group Training. Please check your calendar and email me if you and your spouse will be attending. We will

PASTOR’S THOUGHTS

want to get a count of attendees, so that we can prepare a light breakfast and snacks. Also please email your scenarios that you have encountered as a life Group Leader. We need your input and your support to these dates. It is not necessary to include personal names, just, for example: “A sister arrived to my group with a friend who was obviously intoxicated...” MARCH SERMON SERIES: SHARE+ This month we will highlight the importance of sharing our story (Testimony, e-v-a-n-g-e-l-i-s-m) with those around us, particularly within the Life Group context. We will see how a passionate early church ceased not to meet in the houses and in the temple where they continuously practiced four important activities. These four simple things produces exponential growth to the church on a daily basis and genuine unity. MARCH 1, 2015: “I AM A DEBTOR…” Paul uses a serious obligatory term “debtor” to say “I owe”; I have not paid back my obligation. According to Paul’s use of the word, sharing our story is not optional but required. How many outstanding evangelism bills have we accumulated throughout the years. Have we paid our neighbors, friends and acquaintances what we owe them?

THE JOURNEY / MEMBERSHIP

MEMBERSHIP VALUES CLASS

This class is designed to introduce our new believers and transferring members to Fountain of Truth Church family our beliefs, church structure and organization. These classes are for the following: • Those who have completed Level 1 & 2 classes • Anyone who has not taken the membership class to date and would like to become an official FTC member.

***MORE INFORMATION COMING SOON***

For any questions regarding membership here at FTC, please see the Membership Directors Roy & Evie Hernandez

MARCH 8, 2015 WENDELL WRIGHT – “AS FOR ME, AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.” JOSHUA 24:15 MARCH 15, 2015: “AND THEY CONTINUED STEADFASTLY...” The early church members involved themselves in four daily practices which proved effective and caused the Lord to add daily to the church. Are these four practices relevant today and can the church hope for similar results in 2015? MARCH 22, 2015 PASTOR PATRICK MARCH 31, 2015: “BUT SUCH AS I HAVE…” Jesus said a man brings out good or evil things, depending on the condition of his heart. (Matthew 12:35 paraphrased) Our heart is exposed through our words and actions. Peter told the lame man, “but such as I have I give thee.” We can only give what we have; the question is: does the Gospel and our conversion story palpitate loudly in our heart so much that the world can hear? Blessings,
