As a not-for-profit cooperative, Fox Communities Credit Union exists for the sole reason of providing you, our member-owners, with the best possible financial institution we can, and to be there to help enrich your financial lives. It was with this goal in mind, that Fox Communities Credit Union was formed, in 1937, by three Combined Locks millworkers who pooled money from other co-workers and then lent it to each other, as needed, with a handshake and a promise to repay. They were there for each other then, as we are here for you today -- supporting and helping navigate through life’s financial journey.

We Are Here for You

Our Credit Union is a community of “People Helping People”. The mission to enrich the quality of life for our members is heightened during challenging times, and 2020 certainly had its challenges. We would like to thank you, our members, for your flexibility and patience as we worked through an unprecedented pandemic. We would also like to thank all our Fox team members, who persevered through extraordinary times to help ensure that our members’ financial interests were well taken care of through difficult circumstances. Not only were we able to keep our banking operations available to our members throughout 2020, but we also helped many through difficult times. Last year, we deferred loan payments up to six months on 1,726 loans, with combined balances of $119,139,579. We participated in the Paycheck Protection Program, a US Small Business Administration (SBA) backed loan designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses, to keep their workers employed during the COVID-19 crisis, and facilitated loans to 393 of our business members. Our Credit Union also provided 23 small business grants of $1,000 to lessen the pandemic’s impact to them. Finally, we were very proud to match the Fox Cares Foundation’s $35,000 donation to three local community foundations (Green Bay, Fox Valley, and Oshkosh) for a total of $70,000 to aid our neighbors in need. We saw that some of our members were facing very real trials, in 2020, due to elements out of their control. In an effort, led by our new President and CEO, Chris Allen, we enhanced our Member Solutions department within the Credit Union. Chris explains his motivation, “We saw some of the complex issues members were facing and we wanted to find what we could do to help. Having a dedicated team to look at these situations and communicate with multiple departments will significantly speed up the process of finding a solution. We want members to quickly get the help that they need from us, so that they can leave feeling good about their financial situation and being a part of Fox. We are here for you, and our evolving emphasis on listening and responding to our member’s needs will continue to define our dedication to our members.” Commitment to our members is paramount and at the forefront of all decisions made at Fox. Board Chairperson, Rich Scott, states, “We continuously review and identify where we can grow and improve for our members. Concentrating on our technology efforts and their capabilities will position us for continued growth into the future. We hear from our members what they need, and we do our very best to find and implement solutions. As an example, members wanted more control of their debit and credit cards to better protect them. ‘Card Controls’ was introduced allowing more monitoring activity, ability to turn cards on and off at will, and place travel alerts on them.” As a community of neighbors, we may still be in a period of unpredictability, but as a Credit Union we are in a place of financial strength. The “normal” that we settle into may look different, and the ways we serve you may have added options, but one thing remains the same… we are here for you as we always have been. From our dedicated staff and Board of Directors, we thank you for your continued trust and partnership with us and we wish all of you a happy and prosperous 2021!
