Proud new Fox members The Gieryns had been with their previous financial institution for 18 years, and they were happy for almost every one of those years — until they weren’t. It started slowly, with a small change here and a small change there, none of which alone would have made them think about leaving. But those changes soon started to add up. And when it became too much, and no longer the same place they fell in love with, they decided to make a change. Knowing what they had to do, they turned to a friend for help. And that friend pointed them toward Fox, telling them they’d be treated with “fairness.” “When we first started with Fox, we were welcomed with open arms,” Dianne said. “All our questions were answered.”
From tax scams to TikTok, there are tons of people out there trying to get your debit card information. Unless it’s a company you know and trust, keep your card to yourself. If you’re unsure of a vendor, search them at bbb.org. Monitor your account, and remember you can temporarily turn off your card with the Card Controls app (within our Digital Banking app).
This year we’d like to reintroduce you to the eight cooperative principles, the values that we as credit unions hang our hats on.
Home equity loans: fit for you?
Federally Insured by NCUA.
We’ll discuss the pros and cons of borrowing against your equity and review the different ways you can do so. Join us one of two ways:
We want to hear your Fox story
So, will the Gieryns recommend Fox to any friends who end up in a similar situation? “Without hesitation,” Ted said. “To anyone who asks.” Read the full story on our website foxcu.org/member-testimonial-gieryn
The second cooperative principle, Democratic Member Control, is exactly the reason we contintually emphasize that when you’re a member, you own a part of Fox. Every member, regardless of their financial status, gets the same one vote when it’s time to make important decisions about credit union policies and leaders. When we say that your voice matters, we genuinely mean it. Be sure to attend our Annual Meetings and contribute to the future of the credit union!
Your smile is what drives us! We’d love to hear your story. Here are a few questions to make it easier on you:

That budding familiarity helped with the process of switching over all their finances to Fox — a process the Gieryns found to be much easier than expected thanks to some simple forms and friendly Fox team members. In fact, the Gieryns were even able to save some money on their mortgage!

“Toward the end (with our other institution), it was never the same face when we went in,” Ted said. “But at Fox, we quickly started to recognize everyone in the lobby, and we got to keep working with the same people. That really helped things along.”

Auto loans: long or short term? “One of the biggest decisions you’ll make when applying for your auto loan is whether you want a longer or shorter term. A longer term isn’t always the best answer. It can get you a lower monthly payment, but it also means you’re not building any equity. One of the biggest things we see is all the negative equity, which is when someone owes more on their loan than their vehicle is worth. And most of that comes from loans with longer terms. So, if you can financially handle the monthly payments for a 4-year auto loan, that could be your best choice, especially with the equity you’d be building.” Mike Pastorelli, Fox’s Auto Buying Specialist 920-993-3508 mpastorelli@foxcu.org
