Whether you’re looking to consolidate high-interest debt or college loans, treat yourself to a vacation, upgrade or repair your vehicle, or just prepare for the unexpected, a HELOC could be the perfect financial tool for you. Home equity lines of credit are much like credit cards, meaning you can borrow money up to a certain credit limit and then pay back the borrowed funds along with interest. Use what you need, and once funds are paid back, money is available for you to use again. You are essentially borrowing against your home’s equity and using the home itself as collateral. With the help of our Digital Banking features, it’s easy to access your HELOC funds. Simply transfer money from your HELOC to your checking account. And if you act before the end of March, you can take advantage of our promotional 2.99% APR* for 24 months, with 3.25%-5.75% APR* variable rate thereafter. When in doubt, get it towed A lot of unexpected and unwelcome things can happen while you’re out on the road. A tire can pop. Your heat or AC can stop working. Your odometer can hit the mileage mark of your next oil change. Thankfully, it’s easy to diagnose what’s wrong when something like that happens. But what about when your check engine light comes on? What should you do then? Unfortunately, there are thousands of reasons why a check engine light may pop on. It could be minor, or it could be major, and without a diagnostic computer, there’s really no way of knowing. In fact, there’s only one thing you can know for sure – if your check engine light is flashing, you should pull over as soon as it’s safe to do so, turn off your engine, and call for a tow. Do not try to drive to your preferred auto shop. And, yes, tow trucks can be expensive. But if your check engine light is flashing because of something serious, continuing to drive can lead to even more extensive damage, which will then turn into an even bigger bill when all is said and done. And, as we all know, high-cost vehicle repairs don’t always make financial sense. If that is the case, you’ll want to get in touch with us here at Fox to check out our Auto Buying Services and Reliable Rides Auto Loans. Learn more at foxcu.org. Third cooperative principle: Member’s economic participation We’ve been talking about the eight cooperative principles that make organizations like credit unions great. This month, we’re discussing the third principle: Member’s Economic Participation. This principle not only requires that the members of our credit union contribute financially in an equitable way, it also tasks the credit union with fairly distributing any profits earned with those proceeds. It prevents the organization from giving those funds to a small group of investors or shareholders.Every member contributes to Fox’s success, and the more products and services you take advantage of, the more you reap the benefits of those profits in the form of lower interest rates, more accessible loans, and better technologies. We are also able to give back to local non-profits or sponsor fun local events when approved by the board that you elect! Simply put, this principle is saying that we are pooling our money not to fill the pockets of a few, but to better the lives of us all. Federally Insured by NCUA.

Help us, help you take control of your debt! Fox wants to be your lifeline to help you not only take control of your debt, but to consolidate it to one monthly payment so you can breathe easy, pay it off, and get on with the rest of your life. A Fox member debt consolidation success story: All this isn’t just a pipe dream, either – it’s something that happens regularly here at Fox. In fact, there’s a Fox member story that is routinely told around the Fox branches about a woman who came in overwhelmed by all her monthly payments. She had multiple loans, in addition to outstanding funeral costs and other debt-related items, and had reached the point where she couldn’t afford all her monthly payments anymore. Worried about what the future had in store for her, she sought help from the friendly Fox team members she had grown so close to over the years. Working together, they were able to do a home refinance that wrapped up her car loan, those funeral costs, and her other debt-related items and consolidated it all into a single monthly payment that was lower than what she had been paying. And with a lower interest rate, she could finally see the light at the end of her debt tunnel. Life was a little brighter for her from then on – and the same could be said for you if you contact our Fox team today. Learn more about debt consolidation options at foxcu.org, by calling 920-993-9000 or visiting any Fox location. Loans subject to credit approval and qualification, membership eligibility required.
