Fox auto expert on doing your due diligence when shopping for - or selling - a used car

1.

There is a lot of due diligence that goes into both selling and buying a used car, and I recently had an interaction with both sides while helping a Fox member buy a used car from a non-member. It all started while I was getting certain information from the non-member to complete the sale – a list that includes the seller’s name as it appears on the title and either their social security number, date of birth, or driver’s license number. Understandably, the seller was hesitant to give out that information without first ensuring this wasn’t some kind of scam. So, the seller called me to make sure both the member and I were legitimate. To alleviate any sort of worry, I suggested the seller find our main Fox number online to call and ask for me, but it turns out they already did that. In other words, this seller knew exactly what they needed to do to protect themselves and complete their due diligence. And since the member was working with me, all due diligence was taken care of.

2.

So, the moral of this story is that no matter how trustworthy and legitimate a buyer or seller may seem, always double check. And never hesitate to reach out to me if you need any help. You can find more information about what I do at foxcu.org/auto-buying-service/ or you can contact me using the phone number or email address below. Eighth Cooperative Principle: Diversity, equity, and inclusion It’s time to talk about the eighth and final of our cooperative principles. The principle of diversity, equity and inclusion also happens to be the newest. Adopted by CUNA (Credit Union National Association) in 2019, this principle is central to who we are as a credit union. These words are often thrown around, but let’s break down what they actually mean. Diversity is the presence of differences in people (gender, religion, age, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, etc.). Equity is fairness and justice among these groups in regard to procedures and processes. Inclusion means that individuals who are diverse actually feel welcomed. These aren’t just ideals we want to uphold, we want to be champions of them. We want to do our best to make sure that anyone who walks through our doors feels welcomed and is afforded the same opportunity as everyone else. Further, we hope to reach out to those who may currently be underserved or feeling excluded and let them know that they do have a place at our credit union. Fox is for everyone.
