The first sweeps up from the shark gills either side of the bold grille and forms the sharp top edge of the front wings alongside the LED headlights before blending elegantly into the door. The second forms a sensual double curve in the rear wings before sweeping round the tail to those beautiful wrap-around rear lights and deployable rear spoiler. The intent behind the F-TYPE is apparent from the moment you slip into the driver’s seat, having first been greeted by the powered handles which glide out of the unbroken surface of the door. The cabin architecture reflects its role as a ‘one plus one’ sports car, focused upon the driver and their interaction with the electronic and mechanical components that come together to create an experience far greater than the sum of its parts. A clear division exists between the driver and passenger sides of the cabin, created by the grab handle which sweeps down from the top of the centre console. The handle also, of course, serves as a signal to the passenger that some spirited driving could be in store.
