Tigerprint Competition Brief Black and White Board 1/1

I havd looked at past tiger print briefs for my stationery range, my range was unsuitable for any of the competitions open at the time so I decided to do one of the competition brief separately as its own brief. The competition brief that was open at the time was the Black and White brief. The brief was to explore surface pattern design whilst using a limited colour pallete. The pattern should be designed with a range of products in mind and how it could be applied to the range. It could be produced in any media and they gave possibly themes that coule be explored, one being animal inspired prints, which is where I took my idea from. For my submission I used a handdrawn illustration of an Indian elephant which I then worked on in Illustrator to create a surface pattern design that could be applied to a range of products such as cards, gift wrap, and fabrics. The deadline for submission was 14th October, entries has to be a 500 pixel square jpeg at 72dpi.
