GRADUATE SCHOOL WORK
Sankofa National Historic Park • The Sankofa National Historic Park was an independent graduate school project that would connect major historic landmarks throughout the state of Alabama. Similar to the Atlanta Beltline, several cities that are central to the southern African-American experience would be interconnected via a comprehensive transit and bicycle routes, and through internal pedestrian networks. This cities include: Mobile, Selma, Montgomery, Tuskegee and Birmingham. I created this poster using Adobe Photoshop and ArcGis and presented it at the 2012 Alabama American Planning Association Conference.

GRADUATE SCHOOL WORK
Using GIS to prioritize neighborhoods: Spatially defining social issues in Tuskegee, AL • In graduate school, I worked collaboratively with peers on a planning project and poster that outlined social issues such as crime and blight in Tuskegee, AL. As part of this group, I researched crime reports and geographically assigned them to council districts to assess priorities for investments in public safety. Collectively, tasks created from our findings were sub-divided across eight neighborhoods with local churches and city staff as implementation partners.

PROFESSIONAL WORK
Power of Pop - Up Brochure • As an Active Transportation Planner with the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham (RPCGB), I co-lead a planning team in the execution of 3 Pop – Up Projects. These tactical urbanism projects focused on multi-modal transportation and economic development. The Pop – Up Project Brochure was provided to partners of the initiative and includes a summary from the RPCGB Executive Director, the event budget and an overview of the lasting impact. Since these events, each area has experienced redevelopment interest.

WRITING SAMPLE
Complete Streets Corridor Preliminary Analysis: Delray Beach: Congress Ave (L-30 Canal to the C-15 Canal) • While serving as the Senior Planner with the Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency (TPA), I would often be asked to provide feedback on the feasibility of performing road diets to accommodate bicycle lanes. I authored a technical memo for the city of Delray Beach to review existing conditions and discuss potential roadway configurations. Ultimately, the City decided to pursue a roadway configuration that included dedicated space for bicyclist travel.
