Fazoli’s, a trailblazer in quick-service Italian cuisine, has introduced a restaurant redesign featuring a sleek interior with modern appeal, and the refresh is boosting sales.

What’s not changing at Fazoli’s is the company’s trademark premium Italian food served up fast and in a friendly environment. “We just celebrated 30 years as a leader in this industry,” Fazoli’s CEO Carl Howard says. “The driving force is our commitment to excellence. We continue to focus on culinary innovations, unparalleled service, and new technologies that enhance the guest experience. We’re dedicated to delivering the complete package—inside and out—to everyone who walks through our doors.”

The refresh has been undergoing refinements dating back more than three years. During this process, the Fazoli’s team has studied every aspect of the remodel, making changes as needed to bring costs down.

Fazoli’s began with a redesign of the three restaurants in its home city of Lexington, Kentucky. To date, 19 locations have completed their refresh and experienced 11% average sales growth. The brand refresh has been part of a formula that has ramped up success for both franchise and corporate locations. Last month, Fazoli’s experienced unprecedented growth in sales and traffic.

To maintain its competitive edge, Fazoli’s continues to invest in new technologies to elevate the guest experience. The company recently launched a new loyalty program and third-party delivery. “We’re so confident in our growth strategy that we’re offering one of the best incentive programs in the industry,” Howard says. “A guaranteed savings of at least $125,000 for franchisees developing at least three locations. Franchisees developing more than five locations will save more than $200,000.”

With a new look, new menu items, technology upgrades, and top-performing franchisees, Fazoli’s executives are confident that the company is well positioned as a leader in the restaurant industry.
