OUR PROJECTS

AIESEC LIMA

As AIESEC Lima, we have four different projects that seeks to impact in three different social issues. This projects have realization date through the whole year.

Located in Universidad de Lima, in Lima - Perú; and 47 years of experience AIESEC Lima is one of the first LCs in AIESEC Peru.

Educational Projects: EduAction and Learn & Live. Cultural Projects: Impacta Hoy. Social Entrepreneurship Projects: Multiplica Tu Impacto.

We seek for an integrated leadership developemnt in every single one of the experiences we deliver, so quality and a correct developement of our interns is one of our top priorities. So if you are reading this, we invite you to live a different experience during your internship, to get to know Peru better and on top of that to change the reality of our city and country.

important events 1. OPENING/FIRST DAY OF WORK: This event will bring together people who will be part of the project. The project is presented and an introduction of the trainees who will take part in the project will be made. 2. GLOBAL VILLAGE: It is open to the general public. In this space we will be in contact with people from different cultures around the world. It will be like know the world in hours. 3. CLOSING GALA: This is the final event and consists of a gala ceremony where all of the actors involved in the project participate. Also the interns will show them the things that have been done through their exchange.

IMPACT OBJECTIVES

AIM OF THE INTERSHIP: Develop a management, marketing or fundraising plan for Peruvian NGOs or to develop a stronger organizational structure and a bigger font of resources in order to generate a bigger impact in the communities they work with.

1. To maxime the capacity of peruvian NGOs to impact, bringing university students from different parts of the world to work filling knowledge and capacity gaps the organization's have. MAIN ACTIVITIES - To make a diagnostic of the organization and understand its reality. Before the visit, the trainee needs to be informed about it. - Focus on developing a marketing plan, sponsors research, positioning and financial or in-kind resources generation for the Organization. - To execute the action plan with excellent and follow the methodology of the project manager.

Peruvian SOCIAL PROBLEM: - run their Currently NGOs are having less funds to operations and create the impact they want. On top of that most of the founders of NGOs don’t have management knowledge and the organizations lack this to operat the way they should.

- To execute the action plan and keep informed about his/her progress to the NGO and Project Manager in a weekly meeting, and make necessary changes if it’s needed. - To make a final report for the NGO and AIESEC with the results achieved during your internship. This presentation will be presented at the Closing Event from the Project. REALIZATION DATE: June 15th, July 6th.

OBJECTIVES

AIM OF THE INTERSHIP: The project seeks to develop strogn soft skills and social responsibility in kids from elementaty and high school while having fun activities to boost a better way to learn and take councious about this issues for them.

1. Realization of clases and discussion spaces about entreprenership, innovation and social issues, in order to give the children knowledge that will allow them to see their community's problems with a different perspective. 2. That the project participants and interns will, together, realize a final project that will contribute towards solving a problem in their community. MAIN ACTIVITIES - Facilitating workshops and discussion spaces about entrepreneurship, innovation and social issues to the children. - Organizing, with the children, the final project and being final responsible for making it happen.

Peruvian SOCIAL PROBLEM: Peruvian schools have a strong focus on- developing hard skills in students but they forget to also teach them the way they should interact with others, to care for their community, citizenship and soft skills that are required nowadays.

- Participating in AIESEC events designated by Local Committee, such as Global Village, Incoming Preparation Seminnar, LEAD Sessions, Trainees Meetigns etc. - Delivering partial and final reports to the AIESEC member responsible for the project. - Participating in other schools activities related to the project. REALIZATION DATE: June 8th, June 15th.

OBJECTIVES

AIM OF THE INTERSHIP: Teach students foreing languages in order to increase their knowledge and while doing this provide a multicultural environment where they can discover knew things about the world and what it has to offer.

1. Strenghthen and promote the learning of foreign languages in an environment that stimulates cultural diversity and intercation among peruvian students and university students from different countries. MAIN ACTIVITIES - Participating in AIESEC events designated by Local Committee, such as Global Village, Incoming Preparation Seminnar, LEAD Sessions, Trainees Meetigns etc. - The Intern should give support to the language classes and also have a group of conversation with the students. - Organize and prepare the classes and the material for it.

Peruvian SOCIAL PROBLEM: Peruvian students have basic knowledge in foreign languages, also a lot of them haven’t developed a broader vision about world issues and cross cultural comunication.

- The intern may also be asked to give speeches about leadership, culture, environment and topics about youth development. - Delivering partial and ďŹ nal reports to the AIESEC member responsible for the project. - Participating in other schools activities related to the project. REALIZATION DATE: June 8th, June 15th.

OBJECTIVES

AIM OF THE INTERSHIP: To create a multicultural environment in schools in which young people can explore values that support them in -their development as conscientious and engaged citizens who are more culturally sensitive with a broader world vision.

1. To create a multicultural environment in schools in which young people can explore values that support them in their development as conscientious and engaged citizens who are more culturally sensitive with a broader world vision. MAIN ACTIVITIES - As an Eduaction trainee you will facilitate workshops in public schools in Chimbote for teenagers between 14 and 17 years old using Spanish as the main language of communication. - When you ďŹ rst arrive in Peru you will receive two weeks of induction in Lima. During this training period you will receive a detailed introduction to the project and spanish classes.

Peruvian SOCIAL PROBLEM: Kids and teenagers in schools with few resources do not have a broader world vision and also lack engagement with issues that happen in their society, which leads to have citizens with a lack of citizenship for their realities.

- You will then travel, with your team, to Chimbote, where, over a period of 8 weeks, you will work in pairs to deliver between 10 and 14 workshops per week (roughly 1 hour each). - You will work in more than one school and you will participate in an EduAction induction and on-going training as well as promotional events such as Global Villages. REALIZATION DATE: End of July.
