薰風徐徐,煦陽曜景,報信一連串歡慶祭典即將來臨。五月,富葰搶先祭出色彩

謳歌初夏,我們引介兩位台灣新銳藝術家――李政勳、黃柏勳,讓「勳」風駐足 藝術中心,在澳門迴盪熱情歡騰的華辭妙句。

李政勳在畫布上布滿縱橫交錯的平塗線條,經緯規律的幾何色塊之中,偶藏不規 則變形或是凸起的圓點色塊,彷彿線條是節奏,特殊色塊便是主調。完成的作品 與專注視覺幻象的歐普藝術(OP Art)有幾許相似,但是李政勳的創作過程與表

現內容實則更接近波洛克的抽象表現主義。他以膠帶為工具,在畫布上重複貼膠 帶、上色、撕膠帶等循環步驟,一層又一層累積顏料厚度,讓行動留下軌跡,將 內在豐富的情感與思緒凝在色彩與線條之間。儘管畫面看起來簡明、節制,傾訴 的卻是藝術家的生活與情緒。這是「簡單的說複雜的話」。

黃柏勳順應壓克力顏料的習性,建構出現實與幻象曖昧不清的瑰麗世界。他畫裡 的形體似乎保有現實物質的結構,乍看有如海底生物或某種植物一類的形狀,但 仔細一看又可能只是一群幾何或不規則形狀的組成,沒有具體的名詞可以套用, 好似一個又一個包覆色彩的生命,兀自繁衍、優游於畫布之中。滿布畫面的小物 件有著現實生活中隨處可見的紋理,也許是裝飾女鞋的塑膠珠珠、填充娃娃的絨 毛布料、棒棒糖的光澤……等等,零零碎碎都是藝術家記錄日常的片段。黃柏勳 用這般超現實與抽象兼備的語彙濃縮紛雜的真實人生,這也是「簡單的說複雜的 話」。

爽朗、愉悅的色彩與抽象的形式是兩位藝術家的共通語言,玩味顏色與材質的 樂趣是他們不謀而合的嘗試,當政勳碰上柏勳我們可以感受到知己對飲的歡盡 暢談,譜出和諧的交響曲,對話之間飽含共鳴。另一方面,李政勳剛直、嚴謹

的「理智」線條和黃柏勳不規律、奔放的「浪漫」弧形,又像是各持己見的正反代

表,在是與非之間進行砲聲隆隆的爭辯,越撞擊越生氣勃發。無限並行或對立的

故事從中激盪出來,呼應題名「簡單的說複雜的話」亦可讀成「簡單的說;複雜的 話」、「簡單的說『複雜的話』」,或者倒錯為「複雜的話簡單的說」,或者誤言「複

雜的說簡單的話」……。各種拆解、重組、堆疊、接合、延展……既破且立,就 像展場裡兩位藝術的的創作一般妙趣橫生。

Preface

When the wind is blowing and the sun is shining, everyone seems to be festive ready. In May, Flugent art gallery takes the lead to produce some estival colors - here we introduce two talented young artists from Taiwan — Li Cheng Hsun and Huang Po Hsun, who are going to stopover in Macau, and bring us some enthusiastic artworks.

Li paints flat crisscross lines allover on the canvas, among the warp and woof geometric colour blocks, there are always irregular deformation or bumpy dots and patches hiding in his paintings. As if the lines are the rhythm and the colours are the melody, the finished work resembles the Op Art’s concentration on the visual illusion. However, Li’s creating process and the performance of the content is actually more approximate to Pollock’s abstract expressionism. He uses tapes as his tool. He tapes, paints then tears off the tapes, repeating these steps to present the layers and thickness of the paint, in order to let these actions leave the track, let the emotions and thoughts condense in between the colors and lines. Although the picture looks simple, the artist’s message in the work is very emotional indeed. This is how Li creates “Hsun is Simple, Hsun is Complex”. Huang complies with the acrylic paint’s features, create a magnificent status between reality and illusion. His paintings seem to retain the structure of a real physical substance, such as marine life or botanical kind of shape, but if you take a closer look, it may just be a group of geometric or irregular shapes, no specific term can be applied, looks like one after another coating of color, to uphold reproduction, roam among the canvas. It covered with small objects from everyday life, either some decorate used plastic beads, the fabric of a inflatable doll or the luster of a lollipop etc, all these bits and pieces are recorded as an artist’s daily life. Huang concentrates his thoughts using such a surreal and abstract technique, which presents "Hsun is Simple, Hsun is Complex.” Hearty, colorful and abstract form of presentation is the common language of the two artists, interesting used of colour and texture is their coincident attempt. When Li meets Huang, it gives the audience a feeling of the joyous between two good friends, and how they compose a harmonious symphony, full of resonance between their conversation. On the other hand, Li’s rigid and cautious performance makes a contrast with Huang’s irregular lines and unrestrained curves. The more disagreement they make, the more vitality is shown. From surging out the unlimited parallel or opposing stories, echoing the title "Hsun is Simple, Hsun is Complex," Therefore they can work together in parallel, in order to build up a relationship which they can interpret each other, like the title: Hsun is Simple, Hsun is Complex, full of ambiguity and imagination, thats exactly what we orchestrated.

創作自述 2006年始,我透過系列創作重新去反思抽象繪畫形

感受,讓自己能一次專注於一件事件上。讓所有的

意想之外的成品:那些許許多多如同機械式的符碼,

這個事件可能是一個朋友、可能是一個我喜歡的樂

式,並實驗「如何在視網膜上調色」,結果出現了我

創作自述 近日的創作主題都與「豐富」息息相關。這是最近年來透過媒材的特質,關於釐 清現實與虛擬幻覺之間的創作思考。

創作重心主要包括兩大方向:一方面藉由壓克力顏料的質感,表現它有別於其他 創作媒材的獨特性質,探索其表現性與各種可能;另一方面思索當創作者進入一 個源自現實,卻有別於現實的虛擬時空所形成的各種陌生圖像。前者涉及物質質 地的開拓與擴張;後者涉及拆解、重組、混搭、拼貼和擬造各種不定型形象。這 兩個重心都指向創作者關注與環繞的生活範圍。

壓克力顏料是我的主要創作媒材,我總是將其乾燥後有如塑膠薄膜的質感發揮得 淋漓盡致,甚至為了彰顯它不同於油性材料的溫潤厚實,刻意將圖像符號表現得 光滑平整,甚至出現接近對比色的反光,就像只有3D 動畫片或向量電腦繪圖作

品裡才會出現的漸層肌理,強調平滑流暢與輕薄光澤的特質。我刻意控制每個小 符號的明度和彩度變化,製造某種難以言喻的奇幻效果。在留有水漬的空洞圖案 之上再覆蓋一層新的圖案,營造類似錯置拼貼的效果,拉扯畫面的協調感。

近來,我所關注的創作重心,逐漸轉往非具象或超現實形式表現,帶給觀者某種 似曾相識的印象。這些創作元素來自日常生活、想像空間、動植物、感官與視覺 等各種經歷和體驗的相互交疊、錯置和重構,超脫常理卻又計畫縝密。當開始創 作,由畫筆和顏料所組成的時光機,就穿越時空和界線,把我帶往一個神祕卻詩 意的未知國度,那裡奇幻華美,接近天堂。就像在一個令人迷戀的夜空下,建立 一個巨大、神祕且豐富的異境。異境中各式的元素混搭拼貼、解構重組、譁眾取 寵、爭奇鬥艷。也像夜風,徐人的涼爽總是略帶興奮、慵懶或刺激。那裡綺麗曼 妙、異常豐富,所有的一切不斷地生長、冒出,最繽紛的氣球在飛舞。既像機 械、又像浮游生物的結構體飄忽不定,跋扈卻溫柔、詩意又瘋狂。

Artist Statement This period I focused my theme and motif on“ abundance” . This idea comes from the praxis of materials in those years, and is to identify the virtual and visual. I had two main ways to express my idea. One was using the unique texture of acrylic painting to distinguish itself from other painting materials and to find other possible ways of painting of acrylic. The other one was considering the changes of figures when I stepped into a virtual space from the real visual world. The former one means the research of materials and the later one means reconstructions of daily images. I have been using acrylic as painting material for a long time. I can do my best to paint acrylic as a shiny membrane when it was dried. I have intentionally painted the elements of my paintings shiny, flat, and even with the reflection of complementary colors to show the differences from oil painting. That is why you can always find smooth and gradient textures like you saw in 3D digital paintings in my pieces. I have controlled the shade and the brightness of every lamination to create fantastic sheen. I focused on geometric or an abstract way to paint and intended to bring the viewers the“ déjà vu” . These elements came from the reconstructions of my daily life, my imagination, animals and plants around me, and my sense and experiences. The composition and combination are beyond comprehension however designed by reason. Every time I start to paint, those elements bring me through time and space to a mysterious and poetic realm where is fantastic, gorgeous, and like heaven. It is like building an enormous and flourishing wonderland beneath an addicting night sky. Elements in this wonderland overlapped, rebuild, dissolved and reconstructed. The most glorious bloom was flying as a machine or more like a kind of plankton. You cannot trace them. They are poetic, but lunatic.
