2011 Call to Prayer Churches in Montgomery are coming together to serve shoulder to shoulder for Jesus Christ in our community. Our churches will be working with various agencies and groups to meet many needs within our community. Jesus told his disciples that they were “the light of the world”, saying to them “let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven”. As messengers of God we hope to strengthen the witness and unity of the Church through our service together. None of this will happen without God’s power being released through the prayers of His people.

If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11

To be protected from accident and injury while they are working
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. 3 John 1:2 That relationships will be formed between those being served and some of the volunteers working with/for them. In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which, when translated, is Dorcas), who was always doing good and helping the poor.....All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them. Acts 9:36, 39b
Pray for each one who serves To be “clothed” with Jesus’ character by the power of the Holy Spirit Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12 To serve faithfully, as unto the Lord Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10 "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Matthew 25:40 To serve in God’s strength and for His glory
Pray for unity and love among the Body of Christ in Montgomery.
I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one. John 17:11 To make new and/or stronger Christian friendships as they serve with others Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:11
Praise God for the spirit of cooperation.
To have opportunities to share Christ I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. Romans 1:16
