production tricks and computer skills. I'm working with Adobe creative packs since the beginning and also with FreeHand, well, I've to admit, I don't use it anymore (Adobe kill it!) I've been doing advertisement, in magazines and even some TV commercials (2) were I've done the storyboards and also the scripts, but, I love working with paper. Visual and corporate identity, flyers, illustration, brochures and editorial design (my trully love) I just hope that the fun you’ll have in viewing this e-magazine is the same that I’ve had when I was doing some of this special projects you're about to see. Every year, VISﾃグ Magazine publishes Special Editions. When I was at Edimpresa, Iﾂｴve done this special projects along with a journalist from VISﾃグ. In this magazines the order was to spend the minimum you can, so the images and fonts are from freeware sites. In the next pages you'll find some spreads and covers of that editions, specifically the ones that talk about Medicine teaching, schools and universities, but also another one about outdoor adventures.

Turbo Magazine is in the market since 1980 (29 years). In the 25th anniversary the layout suffered a complete makeover and I was involved in the process. The following months I've done the diagramation but also
two Special Editions that came for free with the magazine. TOP The Outdoor Special Edition was released in the 2007 summer. There, the readers could find all the information and
tricks to have nice vacations aboard a caravan or camping in the country. bottom The Moto GP Championship Special Edition. All the classes, tracks, pilots and bikes.

euro2004 Official magazine edition The UEFA European Football Championship of 2004 took place here in Portugal. There were many publications about this event, but the Official one was made by me. The graphic material excluding the photos and some icons it were mine also.

all the vibrating news on location The effort that the daily dragon team puts every day of the festival, working over night, making 80km to go print more than 15.000 copies of the newspaper and also distributing it in the most popular spots around the festival venue, it's well compensated by the 25.000 boomers that everyday read about the festival fresh news and get to know the schedule of the DJs, live acts, concerts, workshops, talk shows and even movies at their own cinema.

Another "challenge" in this project was that the texts were in Portuguese and English. Sometimes is not so easy to make it fit on the page keeping it balanced. Each tube of the structure was 2,80 m long and weighted more than 3 kg
The dome in numbers 350 screws, 350 screw-nuts, 700 washers, 980 structural steel tubes, weighting 8 tons. 400 coloured triangles and 3600 zip-locks to instal them.

Working on a container with more than 40ยบ inside, eating dust all the time and specially working while all the others are having fun. All though, this is still one of my favorite projects because you see in loco what's the people reaction when they have the newspaper in hands.

The Official PlayStation Magazine is well known all over the world. The Official Portugal Edition was, until 2007, a copy/paste of the British version with the texts translated. Goody Publishers gave me challenge to make the brand new layout. But this time, Sony Entertainment only gave the feedback that, by the way, was excellent!
