It’s That Time of Year: Valentine Cookies! You can show love at Valentine’s Day to many in our community who you haven't even met yet by simply baking a batch of cookies to be distributed to the home bound of our congregation and to the residents of the group care facilities in town. These total about 500 of God's loved ones. (Which means over 2,000 cookies!) Please bring your cookies to the church kitchen on Sunday, Feb. 12th or on Monday morning, the 13th. NO NUTS OR PINEAPPLE PLEASE. Please mark them clearly, as there will be a caterer in the kitchen for lunch on Monday. UMW members will coordinate packaging and delivering the cookies beginning at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13th in the gym. We would love to see you there too! The recipients will very much appreciate your thoughtfulness and love.

What’s Ahead INDOOR PICNIC TODAY, Sunday, Jan. 29th from 5-7 p.m. Family Life Center (Gym) Join your church family for a winter-time, indoor picnic this evening, Sunday, January 29, 5-7 p.m. We’ll provide the space in the church gym along with a wide variety of games and activities, and you provide your picnic dinner and all the fixings. Be sure to bring your picnic blanket or some comfy chairs, and get ready for some healthy competition with corn hole, sack races, dominoes, and more. What a great chance for church family and friends to come together for some warm fellowship and fun! Guests are welcome.

The women of UMW’s Semi-Circle have placed domestic violence posters in the women's restrooms of the church. Rack cards in English and Spanish are also available in the foyer. Please feel free to take some. This has been a collaboration between the circle members and the Fredericksburg Needs Council. Posters will be delivered to other churches in our area and have been given to some local non-profit organizations. Domestic violence is not only a global problem, but a local one.
