All three services will include candlelight and communion. Don’t forget we will have a single service at 11:10 a.m. on both Christmas Day (Sun., Dec. 25th) and New Year’s Day (Sun., Jan. 1st). What’s Ahead CHRISTMAS COMMUNITY BRUNCH Sunday Dec. 25th from 9:30-11 a.m. Contact: Joel Griffin (joel@fredumc.org or 997-7679) We are hosting a brunch on Christmas morning from 9:30-11 a.m. for families in our community, but we need your help! There’s a poster with a sign-up sheet in the foyer for those willing to volunteer as greeters, hosts, servers and cooks. If you cannot be there on Christmas morning, but would still like to help out, contact Joel Griffin at 997 -7679 or joel@fredumc.org. This is a simple way for our church to bless families who may not have anywhere to go on Christmas. Thank you for your support and faithfulness.
POINSETTIA SALES Now– Sunday, December 18th Fellowship Hall Contact: Joel Griffin (joel@fredumc.org) Today is your last chance to order poinsettias from our youth group! Stop by the Fellowship Hall during your regular Sunday activities and get your order in. Poinsettias can be given in honor or memory of loved ones, whose names will be listed in the bulletin when the poinsettias are delivered to decorate the sanctuary. They are free to go home with you after Christmas Eve Worship!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Monday, January 2nd (date changed from last week) Contact: George Barnette (george@bnpr.com, 713-252-2288) Or Angie at Johnson City First United Methodist Church (868-7414) Whether your construction skills are substantial or more “here-hold-this”, please save Monday, January 2nd to help dismantle a big carport in Fredericksburg. It was donated to the nonprofit Misión de Candelilla that makes mission trips into Mexico, but on the condition it be taken down and removed pronto. First United Methodist Church in Johnson City has a reputation for having a volunteer construction crew, so they got the call for help, but they could use some of our help too! Most of the work will be unscrewing steel roof panels and stacking the panels on a trailer. If you can help, call or email George Barnette, or call Angie at Johnson City First United Methodist Church (868-7414).

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS Contact: Debra Hadsall (financialfreedomparty@gmail.com) Many of you may have noticed the new posters in our restrooms. The women of UMW’s Semi-Circle have placed domestic violence posters in the women's restrooms of the church. Rack cards in English and Spanish are also available in the foyer. Please feel free to take some. This has been a collaboration between the circle members and the Fredericksburg Needs Council. Posters will be delivered to other churches in our area and have been given to some local non-profit organizations. Domestic violence is not only a global problem, but a local one. A phone call to the right resource can change someone's life. Contact Debra Hadsall for more information.
