Our program encourages participants to dress up and play as they explore the exciting world of nursing. Using interactive demonstrations, crafts and games, kids learn how the body works and how to use instruments that real nurses use. Small classes are led by a trained Little Nursing School instructor to ensure individual attention. Each child receives a diploma as a graduate of Little Nursing School upon completion of the course. It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s...everything from the earliest flying machines to the first rocket flights. This hands-on Mad Science program teaches you all about aerodynamics and the world above us. Explore the basic principles of flight, build airplanes, ride a hovercraft and construct balloon copters. Discover the mysteries of the galaxy, learn about celestial navigation, and take home a rocket that you have built yourself. Camp fee includes labcoat, water and non-carbonated beverages. Cook ‘n’ Art Camp

Begin your journey towards becoming a Jedi Master in this all-new Star Wars camp! Train like Luke Skywalker and wear Jedi cloaks, practice lightsaber techniques, and use ‘blasters’ to hone your shooting skills. Use these skills to find and save Princess Leia from the Evil Empire, battle Storm Troopers and Darth Vader, and escape the Death Star. Padawans (Jedi-in-training) will learn how to work together and learn the importance of teamwork. At the end of the week, Padawans will partake in Jedi graduation. May the Force be with you! Save money and express your own style. Design clothing using sewing patterns and learn sewing safety tips and stitching techniques by hand and with machine. Sewing machines provided for each two students. Learn to read patterns to make clothing and more. Indoor Sports Jam is the perfect way to spend the holiday with your friends and a fun way to play a variety of sports with friends throughout the day and to meet new friends, while jammin’ to music! Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball, Soccer, Kickball, Baseball, and Dodgeball are just some of the sports we will play. We will also have an arts ‘n’ craft portion of the day and watch a movie for about 30 mins/per day/per AM and PM session. Bring a snack for the AM and PM, along with a lunch if you are attending the Full Day. Bring water and wear athletic clothing and shoes.

How will your child spend their Thanksgiving Break? Have them spend it with us. The Ultimate Sports Camp is held at Central Park, which allows us to utilize everything that the park has to offer, to put together a fantastic learning experience for all campers. Ultimate Sports Camp is best suited for beginner to intermediate level campers and our staff has the necessary experience and training to challenge campers of all ability levels. Staff will teach traditional sports and non-traditional games that improve coordination and cardio fitness. All classes are taught in indoor heated pools heated to 92 degrees, creating a warm, inviting environment. Classes are small. You must wear a swimsuit and bring a towel. Classes are 30 minutes each. No class all day Thursday, Nov. 26th for Thanksgiving or all day Monday, Oct. 31st for Halloween. Classes have been pro-rated for the holidays. The required ASA $30 registration fee is included in the price listed. Registration will close at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday Sept. 7th. To withdraw after Sept. 7th, you must contact the American Swim Academy directly. This is a parent participation class and all students must be accompanied by an adult in the water. This class combines water adaptation and safety. Ni hao means hello in Chinese. Little Panda is a developmentally appropriate music and movement program mostly conducted in Chinese. It nurtures young children’s ability to use Mandarin and to participate in dramatic play within a musical context, including singing, chanting, moving, dancing, focused listening, and playing simple instruments. Youth League Preseason Clinic

The City of Fremont Youth Basketball League, sponsored by Washington Township Medical Foundation is better than ever! All registered players are required to attend Draft Day at their designated time. There will be one 1-hour practice every week that may rotate between T-Th. Times vary between 5 and 9PM The practice schedule will be available after Nov 4th. Games will be on Saturday’s and may play at Irvington Community Center or Horner Jr. High School. If necessary, some games will be on Sunday. Volunteer parent coaches are needed-call (510) 494-4334. If you plan on coaching the 3rd/4th boys or 5th/6th boys league, you will need to attend both of your draft timings specific to your league. This allows coaches to see all players participating in draft day. Coaching clinics will be offered to those needing assistance in coaching. No games Dec 24, 31 & Jan 7.

The last day of registration is Friday, October 14 at 4pm. WITHDRAWALS

All players are required to attend Draft Day (October 15 at the Irvington Community Center) at their designated time, so we can balance the teams. If registered after Draft Day, players will be randomly placed on a team, if space is available.

The City of Fremont Youth Basketball League, sponsored by Washington Township Medical Foundation, will have City staff teach basics, teamwork, & good sportsmanship. The first two weeks of games will be hour long introductory practices, and the remaining seven weeks will be hour long games! *All games will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at Irvington Community Center. If necessary, some games may be played on Saturdays. Leagues are intended to be fun! We reserve the right to combine leagues for the overall benefit of the program. Withdrawals on or after November 4 will be charged a $35 service & equipment fee. No games Dec 18-Jan8. Please note: both leagues are co-ed.

It is said that to drop in a ramp or bowl shoots a skateboarders confidence up through the roof! If you have dropped in before you know this statement is true. Now that you have dropped in and have understood the subtle workings of pumping transition, carving, kick turns, and navigating the various terrains of the skatepark. You are now ready to step up your progression! The Intermediate level can be divided into two disciplines. Park and Street. In this lesson plan you will be introduced to a long list of options for learning and progression. This is a great introduction to the game of baseball/softball. We will cover the basics, teach the children to be part of a team, and demonstrate good sportsmanship! This course is an interactive, educational online course with the latest in animation, video and web technology. It sets the foundation for behind-the-wheel driver’s training and is in accordance with the guidelines set by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. It covers the rules of the road, freeway driving, motorcycle and pedestrian safety, major causes of traffic collisions, alcohol & drugs, and much more. Upon successful completion, students will receive a DMV-approved certificate of completion (OL237) via mail of their choice. The Teen Leadership Academy is designed to provide our young adults opportunities to gain real life and work experience through civic engagement. High schoolers are given an opportunity to perform community service while learning the principles of project management, work ethic, leadership, team work, and character building. This program is designed for high schoolers to accumulate service hours required for graduation and help them gain valuable leadership skills for future employment. Counselors in Training will get a similar work experience as do Fremont part-time staff, complete with training and held to the same standards, though on a volunteer basis. Introduce your child to a Tiny Tot preschool setting for infants and toddlers. One parent and their child participate in activities together that include movement, music, storytelling and circle time activities. Should this happen, your fee will be refunded in full or you may transfer to any open class. NON-RESIDENT FEES For persons not residing in Fremont, the fee is $5 in addition to the published fee per class. SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT Seniors (Ages 60+) receive a 10% discount on all classes except those designated for seniors.
