CODE FOR FUN If your child is inquisitive about technology, Code for Fun gives an opportunity to feed his or her interest while having fun through discover that computer science is an awesome opportunity to create and influence others. And just look at the educational and fun camps we are offering!

STEM & Programming with LEGO® WeDo Learn about science and engineering related subjects by studying real life examples and scenarios. Each project starts with an exploration phase for students to further study a STEM subject. They, then, create a model using Lego WeDo 2.0 (robot, vehicle or simulator) and program it. They investigate the parameters of their model to predict the output. To complete their project, students present their findings to their peers.

On the last day of lessons, all registrants will receive one FREE Admission Ticket to Aqua Adventure Waterpark. For lessons beginning July 29 or later, the ticket will be handed out on the 3rd day of class. There are no refunds for missed classes and no make-up classes.

Private Class With this private class, anyone 3 years old or older can work 1 on 1 with an instructor to develop swimming skills at any level. Each course is 4 sessions, each 25 minutes long. **Up to one additional sibling may be added into the private lesson for $45 extra (please call the registration desk at 510-494-4300 for help with this.). AMERICAN SWIM ACADEMY

Classes are 30 minutes each. No class Sunday, April 12th or Monday, May 25th. You must wear a swimsuit and bring a towel. The required ASA $37 registration fee is included in the price listed. Registration will close at 5:00 p.m. on February 18th. To withdraw after February 18, you must contact the American Swim Academy directly. No refunds will be given after February 20th however, you will receive an American Swim Academy credit minus a $25 cancellation fee. **If a change needs to be made to your schedule you will be contacted by an American Swim Academy Representative no later than March 10.

Aqua Babies This class combines water adaptation and safety. Once comfortable in the water, your child will learn safety skills, including holding his/ her breath, floating, kicking and climbing out of the water. Non/ Newly potty trained children are required to wear a swim diaper. Maximum 6 per class. Celebrate Spring (4/3) & Graduation (6/5) with a dance! DJ spinnin’ discs-Photobooth-Dance games/prizes! Snack Bar items available for additional fee (cash only). FUSD dress code strictly enforced. No in/outs; fully chaperoned event. If you are paying at the door, a parent/guardian will need to sign registration form as proof you are a Fremont 6th grader-no exceptions. Advanced tickets are $12 and are available in person until 5PM the day before the dance at the main office or online until midnight Thursday before the dance. ‘At Door’ tickets, if we have not sold out, will be $14 and available at 6:30PM on the day of the dance.

CITY OF FREMONT RELEASE AGREEMENT FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS IN CONSIDERATION OF PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE IN OR USE ANY CITY OF FREMONT (hereinafter referred to as “City”) FACILITIES IN CONNECTION WITH THIS ACTIVITY, THE PARTICIPANT AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING: 1. T HE PARTICIPANT HEREBY RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE THE CITY OF FREMONT, ITS EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS AND AGENTS (hereinafter referred to as “releasees”) from all liability to the participant, his or her personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin, for any loss, damage, or claim therefore on account of injury to the person, participant’s family member, or property of the participant, whether caused by any negligent act or omission of the releasees or otherwise, while the participant or participant’s family member is participating in a City activity or using any City facilities in connection with the activity. 2. T HE PARTICIPANT HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the releasees from all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, charges, expenses, and attorney fees (including attorney fees to establish the releasees’ right to indemnify incurred on appeal) resulting from involvement in this activity, whether caused by any negligent act or omission of the releasees or otherwise. 3. T HE PARTICIPANT HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE to self or participant’s family member while upon City property or participating in the activity or using any City facilities and equipment, whether caused by any negligent act or omission of releasees or otherwise. The participant expressly agrees that the foregoing release and waiver, indemnity agreement and assumption of risk, are intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by California law and that if any portion thereof is deemed to be held invalid, notwithstanding, the balance shall continue in full legal force and effect. I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ THE FOREGOING and I am aware of the legal consequences of this agreement, including the acknowledgement that it prevents me from suing the City or its employees, agents, or officers, if I or my family member is injured or my property is damaged for any reason as a result of participation in this activity. Registration Policies Requests for withdrawals/transfers can be submitted at www.Fremont.gov/ RegeRecRequest REFUND POLICY Refunds are allowed if requested up to three business days prior to the start of the activity. A $10 per class withdrawal fee will be deducted from your refund. Please allow up to four weeks for receipt of refund by check. TRANSFER POLICY Transfers are allowed up to three business days prior to the start of the class. There is no charge for this service. CANCELLATIONS We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reasonable cause. Should this happen, your fee will be refunded in full or you may transfer to any open class. NON-RESIDENT FEES For persons not residing in Fremont, the fee is $5 in addition to the published fee per class. SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT Seniors (Ages 60+) receive a 10% discount on all classes except those designated for seniors. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE The City of Fremont and many local business and organizations have funded a grant program, which provides financial assistance for Fremont Residents. All requests are kept confidential. For more information about scholarships, please visit Fremont.gov/ Scholarships. Donations are tax deductible.
