(2-week)
Spend some of your summer at Ardenwood Historic Farm - a screen-free environment (nowadays, a two-week session away from computers all day could be a good thing)! George and Clara, owners of the now historic Patterson House, had Excellent Adventures visiting many places in the United States and saw many lands. Learn art, games and music from the places the Patterson’s witnessed firsthand, from Chicago to India to China. Enjoy outdoor fun and hands-on learning, engage in activities like nature walks, science investigations, group games, creative dramatics and puppetry, art projects and much more! Virtual Robotics Coding
Learn the fundamentals of computer science and robotics by programming virtual LEGO EV3 robots to complete missions in colorful 3d worlds. The missions involve coding the robot’s motors, sensors and timers, while using commands, variables, conditional logic, loops and more. The coding is done with Blockly, a code-block based system similar to Scratch. The camp is very interactive, including teacher-led discussion to create the code for each mission as well as a number of team/class coding challenges. Plus - we will also use our skills to program virtual Amazonwarehouse robots each day so students see how their skills apply to real-world robotics! Requirements: PC, Chromebook or Mac computer with latest Chrome browser. 2414 9-13 Jun 14-Jun 18 9:00 AM-11:00 AM 5 M-F $225 2415 9-13 Jun 21-Jun 25 9:00 AM-11:00 AM 5 M-F $225 2416 9-13 Jun 28-Jul 2 9:00 AM-11:00 AM 5 M-F $225 2417 9-13 Jul 6-Jul 9 9:00 AM-11:00 AM 4 T-F $179 2418 9-13 Jul 12-Jul 16 9:00 AM-11:00 AM 5 M-F $225 2419 9-13 Jul 19-Jul 23 9:00 AM-11:00 AM 5 M-F $225 2420 9-13 Jul 26-Jul 30 9:00 AM-11:00 AM 5 M-F $225 2421 9-13 Aug 2-Aug 6 9:00 AM-11:00 AM 5 M-F $225 2422 9-13 Aug 9-Aug 13 9:00 AM-11:00 AM 5 M-F $225
