富山県とデザイン等交流を進めている財団法人台湾デザインセンターが「Fresh Taiwan」 と題 して、ハイクオリテイでクリエイティブな台湾デザインプロダクトを発信いたします Taiwan Design Center has been conducting long-term cultural and design exchanges with Toyama Prefecture. 今まで、創意のモデルや産業・文明の基礎はほとんどが欧米から伝わったものでした。台湾のクリ エイティブなブランドは、グローバルな競争の中でどのようなスタンスを取ればよいのでしょうか。 フレッシュ台湾も今年で3年目を迎え、我々はどのような新鮮味あふれるアイデアを皆様にお届け すればよいのでしょうか。 台湾の製造業は世界によく知られてますが、 この整った製造業のサプライチェーンに加え、台湾の クリエイティブ製品には「人のぬくもり」があります。資源には恵まれていませんが、竹や籐、陶器、 ガラス、漆器、木器といった技を極めた工芸作家やデザイナー人材は厚く、台湾の製品が生産プ ロセスにおいて、 ちょうどいい手作り感や、地元ならではの文化、暮らしの習慣などが所々隠れて います。 また、台湾の根底に流れる東洋文化を基盤に、日本統治時代や戦後の米国支援時代、 ヨーロッパ の哲学の影響を受け、台湾は混血の島となりました。歴史の節目を迎えるごとに、創意の姿は変わ り続け、台湾の創意が込められた製品も、歴史のうねりの中で常に適応し、変化し続け、昔ながら の東洋文化から現代の華人の暮らしにふさわしいスタイルが導き出されました。

In addition to a complete industry chain in manufacturing, Taiwan also makes cultural and creative products that maintain a “people taste”. Taiwan is known for many craftsmen and designers who specialize in bamboo, rattan, ceramics, glass, lacquer and wood crafts. Taiwanese products have a strong presence of hand-made texture and reflect local culture and lifestyle. In addition, Taiwan has been influenced by many different cultures, and this multicultural influence has helped Taiwanese culture acquire a diversified and inclusive character when facing the influence of global trends. As time goes by, and ma^ \hgmbgnhnl bgghoZmbhg% MZbpZg l \k^Zmbobmr aZl Zelh Z]Zim^] mh \aZg`^l Zg] transformed. From traditional oriental culture, we have found a life attitude that fits contemporary lifestyle.

This recycled old wood is full of memories, and its quiet shows the tolerance and greatness. In order not to keep woods falling but to show the scar, I use recycled old wood as the material of my artwork.
私たちは現代化の設計考え方で伝統的な竹素材の家具を再解釈します。伝統的な竹工芸をこの 世代でイメージを刷新します。私たちの製品は全部台湾当地の竹素材を使われて、台湾で手作り しました。 中国語で 響 という意味は大きい声、名声です。響 は ꀀ と 音 で組み合わせた字です。私たち は台湾伝統的な竹工芸から発想して、デザインの領域で努力し、多くの人によく知られるように頑 張っています。 How to re-interpretation of traditional Taiwanese bamboo craft, it's good question to think. We try to use the modernized to think and make it brand new a modern look. All of our products are in use the local bamboo which hand-made in Taiwan.

In Chinese word "Shiang" means Loud and Famous, and it is made up by "Shiang" and “Yin” two words in chinese. Therefore, we start to design traditional bamboo craft, make it with a modern form, and make it loudly and famous. Our works are made by Taiwan local material – bamboo. We explore the possibility of new bamboo crafting, simplify the crafting process by industrial design thinking, create fresh, aesthetic and practical craft design works.

Ａ．Ｍ ＩＤＥＡＳは２人の設計者で２０１０年に設立しました。 ワークショップで製品のデザインに関するサービスを提供しており、それにノルウェーとＮＧＯ連 携して、何度もアフリカに行って特別なプロジェクトの顧問を担当しました。 ２０１４年に、台湾の藺の編み工芸をテーマにとして、装飾品と個人用品を開発と設計しました。 そしてストックホルム、ニューヨーク、東京、パリなどの国に行って作品を展示されました。

Yu-Jui Chou is a designer who looks inward into his own culture, Taiwanese culture. To him, design is a tool, which can change traditional crafts into a meaningful product, and help him connect with the world.
