Shayla Singleton - Security Patrol Officer

Tell us a little about you.

My Name is Shayla Singleton. I am 30 years old. I was born and raised in Beaufort South Carolina. I have a 3 year old son, TAHJ! He is my pride and Joy. I am currently enrolled at The Technical College of the Low Country where I am studying Medical Office Assistant. This is my last semester before I graduate in August 2021.

What is one thing you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I enjoy SHOPPING, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

As a child I always wanted to be a teacher. I previously worked at Parris Island Child Development Center for 8 years. I love kids. As I got older plans changed and I changed my dream to be a nurse. I am currently pursing my career today.

Who is your favorite cartoon character?

I don’t think I have a favorite cartoon character but if I had to choose, it would be Bugs Bunny. He’s always so helpful, great role model on his shows and I just love his character.

What would people be surpised to know about you?

People are mainly surprised when they find out how shy I am. It’s hard to tell sometimes because I am a people person. I love to laugh, joke, and have fun.
