The Kershaw 7-in. Fillet is perfect for filleting medium- to-larger fish with ease. The blade is made of Japanese 420J2 stainless steel with just the right degree of flex to make the job of filleting simple. This “softer” steel enables the blade to bend without breaking so that it moves easily through the body of the fish to give you the ideal fillet. Plus, the steel is highly corrosion resistant—always important when you’re working around water.

The handle is durable and contoured for filleting comfort. Neon highlights in the handle make it easy to spot in a marine environment. The co-polymer handle material provides an excellent grip and its soft-yet-firm texture makes the job of filleting less fatiguing. The design of the handle, with its central contour and hand protectors at both ends fit the hand and helps it lock in for an extra-comfortable grip.

There’s chemistry in the air, because the Covalent is love at first sight. This mid-size folder features a comfortable glass-filled nylon handle with stylish, textured pockets. The Covalent deploys using a flipper on manual KVT ball bearings. The strong DuraLock secures the blade in place using a solid steel crossbar. Inspired by Spanish Navaja knives, the Strata transforms this traditional style into a modern design. In 19th century Spain, Navaja knives were adapted as defensive fighting tools for working class citizens. Today, the Strata can be used for everyday tasks. It opens easily with KVT ball bearings, while the 4.5-inch D2 blade edge offers generous, long-lasting cutting ability. A G10 front handle scale provides extra grip during use. Despite its large size, the single-position deep-carry pocket clip keeps the Strata discreet during travel. Matching copper anodized tube spacers and a pivot cap add an extra bit of flare to this modern take on a Spanish classic.

Kershaw and custom knifemaker Les George took inspiration from a classic US World War II trench knife to create the XCOM. But instead of being a fixed blade, the XCOM is a convenient folder. Like its forebear, it features a symmetrical, spear- point blade that’s great for piercing and cutting, yet is sharpened on only one side. It’s a tough, durable workhorse.

420J

Highly stain resistant, but ductile. This steel is excellent for use where “flex” is desirable, for example, in fillet knives.

420HC

This modified 420HC steel has higher amounts of carbon and chromium to boost hardenability and corrosion resistance. It is an excellent everyday steel: tough, corrosion resistant, easy to sharpen and takes a good edge.

CPM154

This powdered metallurgy steel has a more uniform distribution of carbides so it takes and holds an excellent edge. Also offers excellent corosion resistance, wear resistance, and toughness.

S30V

All-around premium knife steel takes and holds an edge extremely well and is also very tough and wear resistant.

D2

This “semi-stainless” tool steel is known for excellent wear resistance and good toughness.

BLADE FINISHES AND COATING

BEAD-BLASTED FINISH

The knife blade is “blasted” or sprayed with a mixture of fine media, including glas and aluminium oxide beads, under high speed and pressure. This smooths the blade surface and creates a soft, non reflective, matte look. Depending on the media, this finish can produce a darker or lighter blade colour.

BLACK-OXIDE COATING

A chemical bath converts the surface of the steel to magnetite; it enhances appearence and adds some corrosion resistance.

BLACKWASH FINISH

Our BlackWash finish produces a vintage look like that of a well used tool or favourite , broken-in pair of jeans. Kershaw products may have DLC BlackWash or Blackoxide BlackWash finishes.

DLC COATING

Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating displays properties similair to those of natural diamond, including hardness, wear resistance, and reduced friction.

DUAL FINISH

Sometimes Kershaw will combine two different blade finishes on a single blade, for example, Satin finish on the blade upper and stonewash on the lower part of the blade

POWDERCOAT

The coating is applied as a fine powder and cured under heat. This creates a smooth, even, and tough coating.

SATIN FINISH

A Kershaw Satin finish with typically show a faint pattern of vertical lines across the blade. It is a shinier finish than bead blasting and somewhat lighter in colour.

STONEWASHED FINISH

Blades are tumbled with ceramic “stones,” which give blade surface a desirable roughened or scuffed look. The look can be pronounced or subtle. The finish helps hide scratches and fingerprints.

TITANIUM CARBO-NITRATE

Kershaw also uses titanium carbo-nitrate to produce an attractive black or grey blade coating that increases the blade’s hardness, helps maintain the edge, and increase the lifetime of the blade.

TITANIUM OXIDE

When oxygen is introduced into the PVD process, the result is Kershaws spectacular “rainbow” finishes. The rainbow Chive, Scallion, and Leek feature this multicoloured finish.

ZT-0450, Small Sinkevich Titanium Folder

The original Zero Tolerance 0454 was an award-winning collaboration between ZT and custom knife designer Dmitry Sinkevich. But it was also a very Limited Edition knife.

So ZT is doing something about that with the new 0450. While based on the original’s streamlined form and highperformance function, this more compact version will be much more readily available. With its 3.25-inch blade and lightweight-yet-stronger-than-steel titanium handles, the 0450 has a sleek and sophisticated look that, we think, makes it a perfect EDC.

ZT built it with an S35VN stainless blade that sharpens to a razor edge, holds it well, and can be resharpened easily. The knife opens smoothly and easily with the KVT ball-bearing opening system and built-in flipper. A titanium frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert ensures solid lock up. Polished pivot hardware just adds to the 0450’s refined good looks.

Based on the award-winning 0999, the 0990 streamlines this legendary design.

Despite its skeletonized structure, this ZT is reliably strong thanks to its steel construction. Other elements pay homage to the original 0999, including an exposed “floating bridge” near the top of the handle, carbon fiber scales with a front steel overlay, and cutout windows in the blade and near the pivot.

Instead of a ZT logo on the blade itself, the words “Zero Tolerance” are subtly debossed into the backspacer. The CPM 20CV blade offers excellent edge retention and opens reliably with KVT ball bearings.

Once unobtainable for most, the 0990 offers the best way to bring the legend home.

The cousin of the 0562, this ZT features the same special Rick Hinderer flat-ground “slicer” grind that provides both slicing efficiency and a tough point, but on a CPM 20CV powdered steel blade.

CPM 20CV has a high volume of vanadium carbides and a high amount of chromium. You get exceptional edge retention and outstanding corrosion resistance.

The 0562CF’s handle has a carbon fiber front scale and stonewashed titanium back. For secure lock up during use, ZT uses a frame lock with hardened steel lockbar inserts and lockbar stabilization. The knife opens with a flipper and moves out of the handle on our smooth KVT ball-bearing opening system. A washer with caged ball bearings surrounds the pivot and makes opening the knife nearly frictionless; just pull back on the flipper and add a roll of the wrist and the 0562CF is ready for action.

The unique pocketclip is reversible (left/right) and enables extra-deep carry in the pocket.

Whether it’s for survival, the great outdoors, or summer projects, the military inspired 0006 is the answer. Though it pays homage to the original ZT-9 with a steel guard, this full-tang beast is not a bayonet. Instead, this versatile ZT fits snugly in a durable Kydex sheath for travel. Named after its 6-inch blade, the 0006 uses CPM 3V, a tough tool steel that resists edge chipping during the hardest work tasks. While this non-stainless steel wasn’t designed for corrosion resistance, ZT added a clear Cerakote coating for greater durability. It’s a thick blade at 3/16 inches, but still plenty functional. The rounded profile fills the hand without being too big, and an olive G10 handle offers comfortable grip. Choke up on the aggressive jimping with or without gloves for greater control. When ZT makes a fixed blade, there’s nothing else like it. The 0006 is no exception.
