Our team travelled to Japan to hand select models which offered Aussie anglers both value for money, cutting edge technology and most importantly suited our angling tastes.

single largest range of different style jigs under the one banner. There are many to choose from covering vertical to shore casting applications.
Dangan Braid comes in 4 and 8 strand for offshore, estuary and egi applications. The braid is super smooth, featuring a special surface costing that reduces friction and increases casting distance.

The braid has a super smooth, slippery surface coating that reduces friction on guides and the reel, which increases casting distance and enables better line lay. Available in multi-colour type with ten metre increments, which is important for general jigging and offshore work.
8 strand is smoother and rounder because the fibres are woven differently to 4 strand with smaller bundles with more of an even circumference along the length of the line or weave.
Dangan Egi X4 & X8 Braid
MC Dangan Egi is pink and available in 8, 10, 12 and 14 pound line classes. The spools come 150 meter lengths and it can be used for estuary fishing like Bream too. The 4 strand is regarded as robust and less supple but better able to deal with the demands of offshore bait fishing for instance. It is also cost effective for a wide range of activities.

An evolution of the original Dangan braid, the Cross 8 is an extremely strong fibre, custom twisted in a to deliver low stretch and higher sensitivity. Made of ultra-high strength Japanese polyethelyne fibre IZANAS. The advanced line technology, created with a unique ‘Gel Spinning Technology method’ uses micro fibres in each individual strand that is then woven together in an 8-strand pattern. It is then coated in an F60 material.
The high-density manufacturing process produces a supple line that reduces tangling on the guides with the added benefit of improved sensitivity and a strong leader connection.
Dangan FC
The Majorcraft Dangan FC or fluorocarbon is a new leader range for light and heavy tackle fishing. Majorcraft’s engineers have spent countless hours to ensure that the Dangan FC has properties such as flexibility, excellent abrasion resistance, and strong knot holding abilities.
Fluorocarbon is a popular leader material due to its low stretch, low water absorption, and low visibility. That makes it excellent at communicating barely there fish bites along the line and up to the rod.
It comes in a handy travel spool size of 30 metres and is available in 2lb all the way to 100lb.

The Majorcraft Dangan Egi FC or Fluorocarbon is a new leader range for squid fishing. Majorcraft’s engineers have spent countless hours to ensure that the Dangan Egi FC has properties such as flexibility, excellent abrasion resistance, and strong knot holding abilities. They also added a slippery coating to extend the flight distance of light squid jigs.
Fluorocarbon is a popular leader material due to its low stretch, low water absorption, and low visibility. It is excellent at communicating barely there bites along the line and up to the rod.
It comes in a handy travel spool size of 30 metres and is available in 6lb up to 12lb.
Dangan Kantan Egi FC Leader
The Majorcraft Dangan Kantan FC or Fluorocarbon is a specialist new pre-looped leader for Egi anglers. It has been designed to make the connection between line and leader as simple as possible. That’s why they place the diagram on the spool. So you never forget.
Majorcraft’s engineers have spent countless hours to ensure that the Dangan Kantan FC has properties such as flexibility and strong knot holding abilities.
Fluorocarbon is a popular leader material due to its low stretch, low water absorption, and low visibility. That makes it excellent at communicating barely there bites along the line and up to the rod.
This Japanese made leader is available in packs of 3 x 1 metres in 6-12lbs.
EZ Tip Run Leader
(Used with EZ Tip Run Sinker page 14)
Used in conjunction with the tip run sinker, the Tip Run Leader is an easy to set leader in 60 or 80cm lengths tied on 12lb fluorocarbon. This allows you to run a twin jig paternoster set up when fishing deep water quickly and easily. The leader is fitted with twin egi clips which work perfectly with the small gaps in the tip run sinker.
The technique involves dropping the jig to the bottom and then making a series of quick but short lifts and then let the drift of the boat take over. You can still use your favourite jig colours in a completely new way.
