Ireland & Scotland

Take Your Travel Experience Further: The Hosted Trip Difference Unparalleled Service and Knowledge Every Step of the Way Dear Traveler, We are excited to be returning to Ireland and Scotland again in 2021. This trip will mainly focus on the trout fishing resources in Ireland before we head over to Scotland to fish two iconic salmon rivers, the River Tay and the River Spey. The fishing program in Ireland is quite different from some of our mainline fishing programs. We will be staying at Glasha Farmhouse hosted by the welcoming host Olive Gorman. We will be delivered by private coach to Andrew Ryan’s fly shop each morning to meet our guides. In the evening, we will transfer back to the Farmhouse for delicious home-cooked meals. It’s a wonderful four days of fishing for brown and rainbow trout in the highly saturated green rolling hills and valleys of eastern Ireland. The small to medium size chalk streams are fairly easy to wade and navigate. There is something truly special about the “Emerald Isle.” The country is incredibly beautiful, complemented with warm Irish hospitality, great fisheries, a group of ghillies who are genuine characters, and wonderful meals and accommodations waiting for us each evening. We will then fly to Scotland, famous for its magnificent scenery, festivals, historical architectural sites, Gaelic music and culture, the birthplace of golf, and over 100 Scotch whiskey distilleries throughout the country. We will be splitting our time between two rivers. In Perthshire, we will be staying at Meikleour Arms while fishing the River Spey, internationally renowned for its Atlantic Salmon fishing. In Morayshire, we will spend three nights at Muckrach Country House Hotel to fish a beautiful stretch of the Lower Tay.

What to Expect

• Private access fisheries for wild brown trout with dries and light fly rods in south-central Ireland, followed by Atlantic salmon in Scotland. • The accommodations range from private farmhouse stays to country hotels. • This trip is excellent for non-anglers with daily sightseeing tours with a private driver and coach.

About the Accomodations

Ireland: The group will have exclusive use of Glasha Farmhouse for five nights in the Nire Valley of Ireland. Scotland: In Scotland, spend three nights in Meikleour Arms, followed by three nights at Muckrach Country House Hotel.

This is an excellent departure for non-anglers as well, with a guide and vehicle available for sightseeing each day. We look forward to sharing Ireland and Scotland with you on our trip. Sincerely,

Barry & Cathy Beck
