What to expect
Brooks Creek Ranch allows quick access to not only fisheries in British Columbia but also great water in western Alberta. The options are nearly endless and give you the chance to target a variety of trout, float or wade, and experience tailwaters, freestones, and different types of water during your stay. The Elk River is BC's trout fishing mecca, offering a diverse range of stretches for floating and wading, each with a fraction of the usage compared to the US.
Beyond the Elk River valley, an array of rivers, mountain streams, and alpine lakes await exploration, each providing different angling opportunities targeting rainbows, browns, and bull trout.
Located just across the border in Canada less than two hours from Kalispell, Montana, Fernie is a charming mountain town located in southeastern British Columbia. It is known for its stunning natural beauty, outdoor recreational opportunities, and a welcoming community. While some may know of the area for its biking or skiing, Fernie is a prime destination for fly fishing enthusiasts, with its pristine rivers and breathtaking scenery.
Summertime wet-wading in the Canadian Rockies is truly special. There are numerous stretches of rivers and creeks that can be accessed and fished on foot if desirable. Or, if you’d prefer, you can float and fish a new section of water every single day of your trip.
ITINERARY
SEPT 11, Flight to Kalispell
Depart your home city via commercial flight to Kalispell, MT. Arrive in Kalispell, overnight at a pre-arranged hotel - to be determined.
SEPT 12, ARRIVE AT BROOKS CREEK RANCH
Today, you will have a mid-day transfer from Kalispell to Fernie and Brooks Creek Ranch. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a ranch and fishing orientation, followed by appetizers, cocktails, and dinner.
Just 6-8 guests weekly are accommodated in single or double ensuite bedrooms. Enjoy a casual cocktail on the covered porch to enjoy the view or wander down to the home pool to look for afternoon risers. Accommodations at the beautiful Brooks Creek Ranch property overlooking the Elk Valley Provincial Park in the shadows of the stunning stone-faced Mt. Hosmer

SEPT 13-17, Five full days of FISHING.
SEPT 18, depart Brooks Creek Ranch
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kalispell, MT. Depart Kalispell via commercial flight service to your home city.
Fishing
Five full days of drifting and/or walk-and-wade fishing the rivers around Fernie, BC and nearby southwest Alberta Province with Brooks Creek Ranch guides. The Elk River is a clear water dry fly fishery with excellent hatches and terrestrial fishing for Westslope cutthroat and opportunistic streamer scenarios for bull trout. Explore additional provincial waters and venture into neighboring Alberta for trout species and water diversity.

NOTES: The lodge can accommodate six anglers all in single occupancy rooms or 8 anglers - 4 in single rooms and 4 sharing double occupancy rooms. 6-8 anglers constitues an exclusive lodge buy out. Anglers will fly into/out of GPI (Glacier Park International). Round-trip transfer will be in a Mercedes Luxury Van.
INCLUSIONS : Brooks Creek Ranch luxury accommodations and amenities. Classified river license fees. All lodge beer, wine, and food. Services of a professional fishing guide.
EXCLUSIONS : Base BC and Alberta licenses – Applied for online prior to arrival. Lodge staff and guide gratuities. Transfer to/from the lodge and Fernie, BC. Any additional purchases of a personal nature.
