What to Expect • At Estancia Laguna Verde, catch a trout of a lifetime with miles of secluded shoreline along the famous Lago Strobel (aka Jurassic Lake). • Fish one of the many smaller lakes inside the ranch for big trout. • When not on the water, be taken away by the sunrises and sunsets, fine Argentine wines, and asados.
About the Lodges
Laguna Verde: The brontosaurus of rainbow trout inhabit the lakes and rivers of Estancia Laguna Verde, and if you like to hunt for the big ones, there is no better spot on Earth. Fishing here in early and late season allows for behemoths New Zealand-style in the Barrancoso River and in the famous lake. Mid-season fishing will have you wading the shallow bays and inlets for these cruising leviathans. Retire to the relaxed lodge where courteous staff and hearty meals round out this unique fishing adventure in the vast, lonely region of Patagonia.

Thursday, February 4
Depart U.S.A. via overnight flight service to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Friday, February 5
Arrive Buenos Aires. Upon arrival at Ezeiza International Airport, you will be transferred to the Loi Suites Recoleta Hotel, located in the lovely city of Buenos Aires. We can arrange hotel accommodations on your behalf for one night. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Be sure to take advantage of the incredible dining experiences found in Buenos Aires by visiting one of the many excellent restaurants in town.
Saturday, February 6
At a prearranged time, a representative from MK Travel will provide your transfer from your hotel to the Jorge Newbery Airport and assist with check-in for your flight to El Calafate. Depart Buenos Aires via commercial flight service to El Calafate. Arrive El Calafate. Upon arrival, a representative of Estancia Laguna Verde will meet you and provide your transfer to the lodge, about a 4-hour drive. Upon arrival at the lodge, unpack and enjoy dinner. Overnight accommodations at Laguna Verde.
Sunday, February 7 - Friday, February 12
Six full days of fishing on the private estancia, which features miles of secluded shoreline of the famous Lago Strobel (aka Jurassic Lake), and numerous small Lagunas inside the ranch. There is no strict itinerary for Laguna Verde, and fishing spots may change according to the prevailing weather conditions and your physical requirements. Depending on the water level and the activity of the fish at the time, you can wade the Barrancoso River during your stay. The Barrancoso River fishes well November – early January and again in March. The fishing options at Laguna Verde are numerous, but all offer the chance to catch a trout of a lifetime.
Saturday, February 13
After breakfast and packing, your guide will provide your transfer to the El Calafate Airport, about 4 hours, and assist with check-in for flight service to Buenos Aires. Depart Calafate via commercial flight service to Buenos Aires.

Arrive Buenos Aires, Jorge Newbery Airport. Upon arrival, an MK Travel representative will meet you and provide your transfer to the Loi Suites Recoleta, where we will arrange accommodations on your behalf for one night. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Sunday, February 14
At a prearranged time a representative from MK Travel will meet you and provide your transfer to the Ezeiza International Airport for your flight home. Depart Buenos Aires via overnight commercial flight service to U.S.A.
Monday, February 15
Arrive U.S.A. Clear Customs; make connections home. Welcome home!
Rates Fishing Package: $6,100* per person for 7 nights/6 days based on double occupancy and shared guide Buenos Aires Arrangements: Loi Suites Recoleta Hotel TBD* Transfers TBD* Inclusions: All-inclusive fishing arrangements (accommodations, all meals, beverages with lodge/ program meals); transfers to/from lodge/river; one guide per two anglers; and round-trip transfers to/from Calafate Airport/hotel. Exclusions: Necessary Buenos Aires transfers to/from airports; meals where not indicated; special transfers; extras (room service, telephone calls, laundry, tips, personal gratuities, alcoholic beverages—except where specified by lodge); and airfare. Deposit Payment Refund Policy: A non-refundable deposit of 50 percent of the land cost is due at time of reservation. Balance payable at time of final land package invoicing. Full/final payment is also non-refundable unless client replacement is provided.
