Frost Valley YMCA Day Camp Community Values Start Here Frost Valley YMCA operates a safe, affordable Day Camp for children and families in Sullivan, Ulster, Delaware, and surrounding counties. Our Day Camp activities are based on healthy, fun activities that help children grow in spirit, mind and body, as well as embrace the 8 core values of Frost Valley YMCA: caring, community, diversity, honesty, inclusiveness, respect, responsibility, and stewardship. Frost Valley YMCA’s programs focus on building and maintaining healthy lifestyles that reflect the interests and needs of a dynamic community. We offer a range of options for children in pre-school through grade 10. We ensure successful camping and recreational experiences for each child. Camp groups are coed and are divided into groups by age and grade. We offer nutritious lunch and snack options daily. Our counselors, who provide constant supervision and role modeling, are what make Frost Valley’s summer camp meaningful. Many are former campers who know our camp culture and are excited to share its traditions. Counselors complete extensive training in our policies and procedures, which stress health and safety first, in a fun environment. All Frost Valley staff and volunteers undergo criminal background checks and are scanned against the National Sex Offender Registry. In compliance with NY State Health Department and ACA regulations, we maintain an impressive staff-to-camper ratio with an average of 1:5 for our explorers program, 1:8 for day campers and 1:4 for our horse programs.

We know that with the right building blocks for healthy development, children gain the skills they need to be active, thriving and contributing members of society. Achievement, Relationships, and Belonging are essential dimensions of well-being that Frost Valley cultivates through our Day Camp programs.

Tokyo Homestay Program For Local Families The Tokyo-Frost Valley YMCA Partnership sponsors a homestay program every year. Families are needed to host Japanese children July 23-24, 2016. Participating families receive a stipend for each child for the weekend for food and provisions. If you are interested in hosting one or more children, or would like to know more information, please contact tokyopr@frostvalley.org.

USAI Fellowships Cultural Immersion Program for Local Families USAI is a local not-for-profit organization offering fellowships to attend Frost Valley YMCA Day Camp for free to families interested in participating in their international cultural immersion program. Local families benefit from this program when they welcome in their homes an international student attending Frost Valley YMCA Day Camp. In return, both the international students and our local kids benefit from the opportunity to learn about each other’s cultures while attending Day Camp together. If you would like to find out more about the USAI-Frost Valley YMCA Day Camp Fellowship, please call USAI at (845) 688-2434. You can also contact them at info@usaimmersion.org.

Blue Hill Lodge & Café Premiere Sponsor Frost Valley YMCA would like to thank the Blue Hill Lodge & Café for their generosity and that of all our day camp sponsors. Because of their support, more than 100 children benefited from a day camp experience in 2015. In addition to being a part of a caring, diverse, and inclusive community at Frost Valley, these children were also given a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment during the summer months.
