FRPO is an internationally awarded architectural design firm based in Madrid and led by Fernando RodrĂguez and Pablo Oriol. FRPO is committed with innovative design as a continuous conversation between all the agents that contribute to the complexity of building processes. Our internal structure is divided into four areas: design projects, media, research, and on-site management. This process structure is shaped through a platform of architects and designers, with added technical and administrative staff. This platform is then networked into a broad variety of renowned consultants & collaborators in order to explore solutions informed by the fields of environmental engineering, landscaping, architectural and cultural production. Our role is to negotiate these dialogues into a precise answer where the material, visual, and environmental fields converge into a greater experience. The wide professional
training and experience through years of collaboration with renowned architects allows us to establish a high professional profile, where investigation and commitment with contemporary architectural practice launch widely internationally recognized results. FRPO has recently been awarded the Architectural Record Design Vanguard 2012 recognition by New York based publication Architectural Record as one of the most promising young architectural offices in the world, and the Europe 40 UNDER 40 award by Chicago Architectural Club in 2009. FRPO has achieved a number of prizes in national and international competitions, including the OS House and MO House wide recognition, the First Prize in the International Competition for the Access and Services Building in Madrid City of Justice or the Second Prize in the International Competition for the World Trade Organization Headquarters Extension in Geneva, Switzerland.
