Well hello there! We hope you’ve had a wonderful May. We at Frrresh have been busy with a lot of different stuff, including hanging out with wonderful people over at artBazaar in Rijeka, not flunking college and making plans for a possible Frrresh exhibition in Zagreb after the summer. All in all a very productive month, made only sweeter by the monthly issue of Frrresh! Ps: as you have probably noticed we’re making some design changes to the magazine, the first one being reducing the number of artists in each issue so the magazine is easier to take in.
artists featured in issue 27 are: Cyla Costa Maike Plenzke Scott Balmer Tomica Grubiša Sith
Cyla Costa
I’m a graphic designer and lettering artist based in Curitiba, Brazil. This series of letterings is about two of my favorite things: Woody Allen’s movies and drawing letters. It’s a weekly project where I watch his movies chronologically and draw letterings inspired by them. These are the first 10 posters. The project is ongoing and you can keep up with the news at weeklywoody.com - stay tuned! cylacosta.com weeklywoody.com fb.com/cyla.studio be.net/cylacosta instagram.com/cylacosta

Scott Balmer is a freelance illustrator currently based in the UK, who solves problems of the visual nature and has being doing so from an early age. Whether its towering monoliths or magnificent breasts, he would scribble away until no wall was left bare. With all the constant drawing taking place, this took him down the path of going to and graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone School of Art & Design. A champion of pixels and armed with the Gameboy version of Tetris, Scott Has produced work for numerous clients and Galleries from around the world.

Sith
If not implementing a new policy on a server, Sith mostly does conceptual street art. Changing billboards, street signs, trash cans in order to add a funny twist to everyday routine. He currently lives in Rijeka but most of the time his mind is somewhere else thinking of silly things like why does the Japanese flag look like a used sanitary pad.
