تذكار القديس جاؤرجيوس االسكندرى The Martyrdom of St. George of Alexandria. هاتور٧ - نوفمبر١٦ 16th November - 7th Hator في مثل هذا اليوم استشهد القديس On this day, St. George (Gawargios) of Alexandria, تاجرا أبوه كان. جاؤرجيوس اإلسكندري was martyred. His father was a merchant in the city واتفق له السفر. باإلسكندرية ولم يكن له ولد of Alexandria and had no son. تأمالت فى انجيل القداس Meditations on Sunday Bible readings األحد األول من شهر هاتور المبارك 1st Sunday of the Blessed Month of Hator ١٥ --٤:٨ ٤:٨لو لو Luke 8:4-15 فيحفظونها فى قلب جيد صالح having heard the word with a noble and good heart, 15 ::8 8 ويثمرون بالصبر لوقا keep it and bear fruit with patience ( Luke 8:15). سأل أحدهم مرة االنبا بفنوتيوس Someone asked Anba Paphenotous once for a word ليعطيه كلمة منفعة فقال له «أحفظ of benefit and he said to him “keep the water channel .. القناة التى تجرى الى مزرعتك which runs to your farm” … and again he asked; فقال له وكيف أحفظها ياأبى فردعليه how can I keep it, father, the elder replied “if you الشيخ اذا لم تسكن مع فالح فمن أين do not dwell with a farmer, how would you know of »الفالحة لك أن تعرف ما تشتمل عليه farming?”, he meant with a farmer is an elder who is مختبر مجرب ويقصد بالفالح هنا شيخ learned and experienced to learn from him; the life of struggles and resisting Satan’s trails … and here, يتعلم منه حياة الجهاد ومقاومة تجارب وها هو الرب يسوع فى.. الشيطان the Lord Jesus in the parable of the sower tells us the الحياة مثل الزارع يحدثنا عن أصول fundamentals of a spiritual life and teaches us through .. االمثال الروحية ويعلمنا عن طريق parables … the seeds are the word of God … and the واالرض هى .. فالزرع هو كالم هللا earth is your heart … there are good hearts which is قلوب جيدة صالحة وهناك.. قلبك أنت ready to receive the words of God with patience, joy تستقبل كلمة هللا بفرح ومع الصبر and continual efforts so that the words of God would والجهاد تثمر فيها كلمة هللا بثمار كاملة yield thirty, sixty and hundred folds … and there are وهناك قلوب.. ثالثين وستين ومائة other hearts which are full of problems; the good and كلمة هللا.. أخرى مازال بها متاعب rich words of God almost cannot find a ground to الجيدة الثمينة تكاد ال تجد تربة صالحة flourish … although these hearts are of good ground رغم ان هذه القلوب.. فى هـذه القلوب originally … but the world has planted thorns in it .. أصال هى أيضا أرض جيدة صالحة … and has scattered rocks in it … but trampled on والقى.. ولكن العالم زرع فيها أشواك it many times till the ground lost it’s moisture and بل داس عليها مرارا.. بها حجارة became wayside. حتى جفت رطوبتها وتحولت الى The first type of these grounds … is the wayside .. طريق … lost its moisture and became solid … this is هو.. النوع االول من هذه األ رض the difficult period of the spiritual life … that is أى.. االرض التى صارت طريقا a spiritual dryness and a common problem many وهذه.. جفت منها الرطوبة وتصلبت among those who struggle on the path of spiritual life. هى المرحلة الصعبة فى طريق الحياة + some fell by the wayside .. وهى الجفاف الروحى وهى.. الروحية A ground which dry and lost it’s moisture … became مشكلة عامة يتعرض لها الكثير من .. المجاهدين على درب الحياة الروحية solidly hard … rock like … but why?? .. سقط بعض على الطريق+ This is because it became a wayside … how?? All it’s barriers had fallen … and it’s doors are opened to .. تصلبت.. أرض قد جفت رطوبتها لماذا ؟؟.. تحجرت strangers … it became a trampling ground for every كيف ؟؟.. ألنها قد صارت طريقا passer-by … often one would complain that the word أنفتحت أبوابها.. سقطت أسوارها of God has no effect on you (anymore) … you no longer feel any depth in your spiritual life … you feel .. صارت مداسا لكل عابر.. للغرباء that prayers and fasting are a burden and difficult … كثيرا ماتشتكى أن كلمة هللا التؤثر فيك أنك ال تحس بأى عمق فى حياتك.. and confession is just a monotonous routine and all تشعر أن الصالة ثقيلة.. الروحية these are indication of a spiritual aridness in your مجرد واالعتراف.. والصوم صعب heart … and the reason to this … your heart became روتين هذه كلها بوادر تدل على تسرب open to other things … exposed to strangers. والسر.. الجفا ف الروحى الى قلبك What are the reasons which quench the warmth (of ألشياء أن قلبك قد صارمفتوحا.. فيها spirituality) in man’s heart and lead him or her to .. مفتوحا للغرباء.. أخرى this difficult stage of becoming a wayside? … First الحرارة تطفىء ماهى االسباب التى … lack of alertness … opening the gates (of your هذه الى وتوصله فى قلب االنسان heart) without attentiveness … demolished barriers .. طريقا يصير أن .. الحالة الصعبة which is full gaps where little foxes which spoil
فتح األبوا ب.. عدم األحتراس.. أوال the vine, can get through … lack of alertness is a االسوا ر المهدومة ا لتى.. بدون تدقيق one word … cause in one day 42 thousands men أمتألت بالثقوب التى تنفذ منها الثعالب to die from the tribe of Ephraim … Jephthah the عدم.. الصغيرة المفسدة للكروم الجيدة Gileadite had set a trap (for Ephramites) by the تسببت فى.. األحتراس هى كلمة واحدة shore of the Jordon river … when one (of the ألف فرد42 يوم من األيام فى هالك Ephramites) would cross over had to say the word فقد أقام عليهم يفتاح.. من سبط أفرايم “shibboleth”(which means a stalk of grain) but the Ephramites used to pronounce it as “sibboleth” and وكلما.. الجلعادى كمينا على نهر االردن أراد أحدهم العبور كان عليه أن ينطق by this the Ephramites were distinguished … and killed by the river (Judges 12:1-6) … just one word كلمة «شبولت» (معناها سنبلة قمح) وكان .. »أبناء هذا السبط ينطقونها «سبولت almost eliminated a whole tribe … and Jephthah وبهذا كانوا يميزون من هوأفرايمى أو also spoke without care … for he has vowed that if he is triumphant at war and returned in peace to his .. )12 فيقتلونه عند النهر (قضاة.. ال house … who ever comes out of his house to greet مجرد كلمة واحدة تكاد تكون أهلكت سبطا .. بأكمله him will be offered as a burnet offering to God .. إحتراس بدون كلمة نطق هذا ويفتاح (note this is a wrong vow because God does not الحرب فى أنتصر إن أنه نذزا نذر فقد accept human sacrifices as burnt offering) … and فالذى يخرج من.. ورجع بسالم الى بيته Jephthah finds himself in a dilemma … the person بيته إلستقباله يقدمه للله محرقة (الحظ who went out to greet him was his only daughter أنه نذر خاطىء ألن هللا ال يقبل محرقات who came out with great joy and dancing in ويسقط يفتاح فى ورطة صعبة.. )بشرية happiness of his triumph … and Jephthah fulfilled فقد خرجت إبنته الوحيد ة الستقباله.. his wrong vow and offered his daughter as a burnt وينفذ.. بدفوف ورقص فرحا بإنتصاره sacrifice (Judges 11:34-39). ( يفتاح نذره الخاطىء ويقدم إبنته محرقة How catastrophic lack of alertness can be … if lack .. )١١ قضاة of alertness in speech can cause all these troubles وإن كان.. ما أصعب عدم االحتراس … how much more can lack of alertness with the عدم االحتراس فى الكالم يسبب كل rest of the senses … the careless eye … which فكم هو عدم االحتراس.. هذه المشاكل looks at all sights … but even seeks un-decent ماذا تفعل العين.. مع بقية الحواس sights … wasn’t an indecent look without alertness التى تتظر الى كل منظر.. غيرالمحترسة which caused David to fall into sin (2 Kings 11) … بل وتبحت عن النظرة غير الالئقة.. and made him (David) bitterly weep for it. اليست نظرة غير الئقة بغيرأحتراس.. What does rude words you allow your ears to hear تسببت فى سقوط داود فى الخطية (ملوك … what does gossip and talking about others, do in وجعلته يبكى بمرارة بسببها.. )11 الثانى .. your life and the life of others? ماذا تفعل كلمات الوقيعة التى تفتح لها The king of people of Ammon died … king David مانا يفعل نقل االخبار ومسك.. أذنيك sent a messenger to comfort his son (Hanun) .. سيرة الناس فى حياتك وحياة اآلخرين concerning his father’s death because the father وأرسل داود.. مات ملك بنى عمون was kind to David … but someone said to new king (the son) … David is sending his servants to search الملك رسال يعزى إبنه في وفاة أبيه فقد ولكن أحدهم قال.. كان داود صديقا ألبيه the land and spy … and the young king believed ان داود انما ارسل رسله.. للملك الجديد the deception … so instead of accepting the الملك ويصدق الشاب.. ليتجسس االرض comfort (of David), he ordered to have half their وبدال من أن يقبل التعازى.. الوقيعة bears shaved and torn their clothing off from the أمر فحلقوا لهم لحاهم وقصوا ثيابهم middle and sent them back (2 Samuel 10) … thus (صموئيل وأرجعوهم الى داود عراة this deceiving advice have changed friendship into وهكذا حولت المشورة.. )26 الثانى enmity … and alliance to hostility … and David sent all the army of the mighty men to the people of والمحبة الى.. الرديئة الصداقة الى عداوة وأرسل داود جيش الجبابرة الى.. خصام Ammon were defeated (2 Samuel 10). بنى عمون فأدبوهم وأستولوا على بالدهم And you beloved; are you lacking alertness … do محترس وهل أنت أيها الحبيب أنسانا غير you absorb all words … even offensive words … كلمة لكل هل أنت سماعا تفتح.. do you use lustful glances … your eyes glaring for أذنيكأنت شهوانى هل .. حتى الكالم الباطل.. all sights … are you with a loose tongue … speak
.. عيناك مفتوحتان لكل منظر.. النظرة without any control or discretion. تتكلم بدون.. هل أنت ذو لسان منطلق All these senses are gates … if you let it be opened .. ضبط أو إفراز without control then the world will sneak through إن.. كل هذه الحواس هى بوابات and trample upon your heart causing it to become dry and lukewarm … secondly … one of the reasons تركتها مفتوحة بدون ضابط يتسلل منها العالم بكل متاعبه ويدوسون فى قليك of arid hearts … love of pleasures and comforts of .. ثانيا.. يسببون لك الجفاف والفتور world … indeed, despite that there is no wrong in .. من االشياء المتعبة التى تجفف القلب seeking physical comfort … or innocent pleasures for one to seek … but indulgences in such pleasures نم ورغم.. محبة المتعة وراحة العالم أنه ليس هناك خطأ فى طلب راحة will reduce ones’ spiritual thermometer within us النفس أو الترفيه البرىء عن.. الجسد … an example of this … love of larks … laughter يبرد األمور ولكن اإلكثار من هذه.. and joking without boundaries … how can a person who only cares to hear the latest joke and only seeks .. الحرارة الروحية فى د اخل اإلنسان الضحك.. محبة الهزل.. ومثال ذلك funny stories and even invents them … how can كيف يستطيع.. والهزاربدون حدود such person at the same time weep for his or her sins إنسان كل همه أن يسمع آخر نكتة and feels sorrow for his or her mistakes … this does وأن ويبحث عن القفشات المضحكة not mean that the Christian person is a sad, weeping يستطيع كيف.. يقول النكت ويؤلفها person who is depressed … on the contrary … the فى نفس الوقت أن يبكى على خطاياه Christian person crying for his sins … but within, ليس معنى هذا.. ويندم على شروره is at peace and joy which the world does not know أن االنسان المسيحى هوأنسان مكتئب it or possesses it … those who make of laughter … األنسان.. ال على العكس.. باكى حزين and only laughter a way of life and a curriculum to المسيحى وأن كان يبكى عل خطاياه لكنه live by all the time; they should listen to this saying فى داخله فى فرح روحى وتهليل قلب “cursed are you who laugh now for you shall weep لكنه.. وأن كان حزينا على شروره.. and be sad” (compare with Luke 6:21) … also … فى داخله سالم وراحة يفتقدها العالم “let it not even be named among you, as is fitting والذين يتخذون من الضحك.. واليعرفها for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor والضحك فقط وسيلة لحياتهم وأسلوبا.. coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving يعيشون فيه كل أوقاتهم عليهم أن of thanks” (Ephesians 5:3 & 4). «ويل لكم: يسمعوا هذه العبارة الصعبة Some think with jesting, joking is a way of passing أيها الضاحكون اآلن التكم ستحزنون time and a method of socialising … but this is not «فال.. وأيضا.. )٢١ : ٦ وتبكون» (لو the way of God’s children who delight in the (Holy) يسم بينكم كما يليق بالقديسين القباحة Spirit and live by the fellowship of the Spirit … »وال كالم السفاهة والهزل التى ال تليق .. )4 ،3 :5 (أفسس our way is the way grace and redemption … and يظن البعض أن المزاح والهزل ماهو our fellowship is being of one accord and one mind وألن.. إال وسيلة للتسلية وقضاء الوقت (in Christ) as the apostle says “ if there is any [a] ليس هذا هو طريق أوالد هللا الذين consolation …fellowship of the Spirit” (Philippians يحيون بالروح وللروح ويتهللون بالروح 2:1). أن طريقنا هوطريق النعمة.. أيضا About love of comforts of the body … we find many وتسليتنا ونحن نقطعة هى.. والخالص who look for an excuse to avoid fasting … and others want to fast according to their leisure and in الشركة مع الحبيب مع أحبائه كما يقول »الرسول «أن كانت تسلية ما للمحبة a way and time they prefer … it is simply an excuse .. )١ : ٢ (فى to avoid fasting … the un-willingness to subdue the body and to sacrifice physical comforts … how نجد.. ومن محبة الراحة وترفيه الجسد can one seek spiritual warmth without the means of الكثيرون يبحثون عن عذر يتهربون به grace which warms the spirit (within) … the spiritual ويريد البعض اآلخر أن.. من االصوام life require struggle and labour against the body and يصوم بمزاجة أى بالطريقة وفى الوقت أنه عذر للتهرب من..الذ ى يحبه هو the body desires against the spirit … thus fulfilling الجسد عدم االستعداد إلذالل.. الصوم desires of the body is a depriving the spirit … and تطلب كيف .. والتضحية براحة الجسد depriving the body is a revival of the spirit. التى النعمة وسائل حرارة الروح بدون And you, beloved … are you a “profane person like الروحية الحياة ان.. تدفىء الروح Esau” (Hebrews 12:16) … you only want what the

Progress Report of St. Mary`s Church تطورات مشروع المبانى بكنيسة العذراء طورات Building Project مريم Tender offers were recieved and opened in تم فتح مظاريف المناقصات الخاصة بمشروع a special project meeting. The offers are تقوم حاليا لجنة.المبانى الجديد لكنيسة العذراء being studied to choose the most suitable من المختصين بدراسة تفاصيل المناقصات offer. Services at St Mary’s Church starting from Saturday 30th October Starting from next Saturday 30th October, these are the new limits for church services: Religious ceremonies: ceremonies Inside the church one person for each 4 square meters fully vaccinated. Max 30 persons for unvaccinated. Same numbers will be allowedfor Funerals and Weddings. At St Mary›s Church Here are list of the new service: During the week Tuesday 5 - 7am, Wednesday 9 - 11 am& Friday 9 - 11am Services can be attended only by 85 fully vaccinated persons. Saturday 8-10am St St John’s Church for nonvaccinated (30 persons) 9 - 11 at St Mary’s Church 85 person fully vaccinated Sunday: 7-9am & 9 - 11an at St Marys - 85 Sunday persons fully vaccinated. 9 -11am for 45 persons fully vaccinated at St Joh’s Church Please book at the Booking Application Very Important: It is very recommended thatThose who are not fully vaccinated produce a negative a COVID-19 Test two days before having communion. What is Natural ماهو الطبيعى St Paul in his Epistle to the Romans القديس بولس الرسول فى رسالته ألهل Chapter 1 warns that the Wrath of رومية األصحاح األول يحذرنا بأن غضب هللا معلن على جميع فجور الناس وأثمهم ألنهم God is directed to the ungodliness of man for man has darkened his mind حمقوا فى أفكارهم وأظلم قلبهم الغبى وأبدلوا to ignore the Glory and Knowledge of مجد هللا الذى اليفنى بشبه صورة األنسان God so that he can immerse himself الذى يفنى لذلك أسلمهم هللا أيضا فى شهوات قلوبهم الى النجاسة والى أهواء الهوان ألنهم in his lusts and man has replaced what is natural by what is not natural, and أستبدلوا األستعمال الطبيعى بالذى هو على he is going to receive the penalty of خالف الطبيعة فاعلين الفحشاء إلاسلمهم his errors which was due. Today we الرب الى ذهن مرفوض ليفعلوا ماال يليق. still hear people justifying their lusts واليوم مازلنا نسمع عن هؤالء الذين يبررون by saying that it is natural which is a انزالقهم فى الشهوات النجسة الغير طبيعية بأنها شىء طبيعى .لقد خلق هللا األنسان نقيا totally untrue. God has created human to be pure and straight and we can مستقيماويمكننا أن نرى هذا واضحا جليا recognize the natural ways, which فى كل أعمال الرب .األنسان اليوم يعانى are manifested in His works. Human من تصرفاته التى على خالف الطبيعة .أن today is already receiving the penalty األرض تلفظ الشىء غير الطبيعى .مرض of breaking the natural law.
