Perfect Binding Perfect binding is the main binding process in industrial book production today. The main reason for this is the high effiency of the process. This is achieved because perfect binding has the same productivity rate as gathering and cutting.

Characteristic elements of the perfect binding system are: gathering station: the folded sheets are gathered and on the spine of the book block there you will see the collating marks endless feeder stations jogging station: the sheets are aligned on the book spine and head spine processing station: the back edges of the folded sheets are cut off; undercutting devices, brushes and suckers of the paper dust are used to improve the adhesion in the potential joining areas gluing unit cover scoring and feed station: the cover is scored and is pressed onto the open adhesive surface of the book block cover aligning and pressing station dryer delivery cutting station: the books are cut by a three-knife-trimmer
