2012 Bronco Homecoming Parade Saturday, October 27 at 9:00 a.m.
The parade starts in Downtown Fayetteville from Vick’s Drive-In on corner of Rowan and Hillsboro Streets. From there the route continues to Murchison Road and Fayetteville State University and turns on to Langdon Street. There will be over a hundred entries including bands, floats and community organizations. Clowns, queens, music — something for everyone! This event is free of charge and open to the public.

MG Anderson is a native of Elloree, South Carolina and is a graduate of Wofford College, Spartanburg, South Carolina. His most recent duty was as the Director of Force Management, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7, Washington, D.C. Major General Anderson’s previous duties included command at the battery, battalion, and brigade levels and staff assignments at the battery through Joint Staff levels. Major General Anderson has served four tours with the 82nd Airborne Division. He served overseas assignments in Korea and Italy and operational deployments for Operation Urgent Fury in Grenada, Operation Desert Shield/Storm in Saudi Arabia and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Major General Anderson is a graduate of the Field Artillery Officer Basic and Advanced Courses at Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; and the Naval War College at Newport, Rhode Island, where he earned a Master of Arts in Strategic and National Security Studies. His awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (1 OLC), Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (5 OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Master Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge, and Army Staff Identification Badge.
