PREZ SAYS
Time to shift gears
It’s time to break away from the cow pastures and fields and settle in for a weekend of fun and relaxation in the A/C.

Our big event is almost here and with a visit to the Doubletree Resort in the Big O,(NOT TALKING OKEECHOBEE HERE) things are going to be hopping. Lots of good food, fun things to do for the entire family and of course a lot of folks will be walking away with some real nice prizes.
I hope all of you have secured your tickets and reservations as we are just days away from a stellar weekend. summer and maybe head to the mountains or break into the water sports segment , some of us try and get caught up with some loose things around the house while others still are hitting the woods, or in my case start riding again.
Yeah I know, fine time to start now as the season is over and it’s like almost three digits out there, even under the trees.
As I sit here and write this, the left arm is not moving well, therefore adjustments are in order for the rest of the week and maybe longer. This is the first day after the camouflaged innocent looking tree branch disguised as a twig jumped out in my path at some location at I 75 and Hwy 50.
Of course I didn’t let on like anything happened as the group was trucking along pretty dang good. The thought of riding this pace and holding my own considering the cardio aspect of it was satisfying considering I haven’t been on this bike in a long time. Then comes the reaction time, let’s just say I was off a tic and I moved my shoulder but not enough as the bike kind of backed itself into the outside line.
The impact probably could have been heard around the world but the sound from the 4 stks silenced everything. I figured I was good as it only hurt for a few minutes as there was no stopping and no one cared. I even had a medic guy in front of me but he didn’t give a hoot either.
Onward and here came several sets of whoops that showed a set of teeth and was just waiting for someone to drop a front wheel into one of them. I may hit trees but those sandy roller things and I seem to get along. All in all we had a great day of riding with a lot of awesome FTR riders that like to get in a good ride and stay sharp.
Yes, I am going back to that same location and building a berm at the scene of the assault or taking a chainsaw if I can get one to run as that is one of those loose ends I was talking about!
Thanks for listening,
