Ready to Start

While we are all ready to line up and hear the “10 Seconds” command of our famous starter, I would like to share the many Thanks to all the unselfish volunteers that helped with this year’s banquet. So many of you worked your tails off months prior to and the entire weekend to make sure we had a great time. I’m sure that the hours and days just started to run together, especially for our banquet coordinator Darlene. The banquet committee and all those that jumped in the day of our banquet, Thank you! It was a great event and without all of you helping out it could not have happened.

As the excitement builds and we kick off our 21/22 season, many new faces will step into our world with uncertainty and apprehension of what they are getting themselves into. So many new families are ready to try out our world of off road, family/friend gatherings and just getting away for the weekend. FTR members have always been great hosts with friendly acknowledgements and willing to welcome new families into our world with information and suggestions.

As we start our season, let’s continue to visit our neighbor and make new friends while we set up for the weekend. Like a lot of other sports and organizations, we are seeing a tremendous increase of new members that want to see what FTR is all about and as the old saying goes; the first impression is the one that counts. Like most of us, we all had someone to help guide and show us the right way to do things and also told us the things we shouldn’t be doing.

These new members are also potential club members, I know my club can use more members and I would imagine other clubs could also. Just a thought! I hope everyone has renewed their memberships, FTR, AMA and the Minor Releases as we are ready to go racing!
