INCREDIBLE EXCURSIONS

#WainwrightODR Above It All During winter, it may seem like you are limited on your chances to explore the beautiful views of Interior Alaska but you actually, you have new opportunities! Ice climbing is a great chance to get out during winter and see some of the amazing views that Alaska has to offer. Outdoor Recreation Center has boosted its calendar and now offers ice climbing every month this season! If you aren't sure what to expect or how to ice climb, our experienced and patient Outdoor Recreation Guides will show you how to maneuver the vertical terrain, use your gear, and guide you throughout your experience.

Ground Travels If you'd like to stay on the ground, a snowmachine trip is an excellent way of exploring Alaska. Outdoor Recreation has snowmachine trips every month, or you can check out snowmachines to take on your own adventure. Before checking out or going on a snowmachine trip, it is required to take a Snowmachine Safety Course. These courses are incredibly informative, and can possibly help you to prevent serious injury. Stay safe out there! 5 To register for a Snowmachine Safety Course, contact Outdoor Recreation at (907) 361-6349.
