B.O.S.S. Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers

What is the B.O.S.S. Program? The two-time award-winning Pacific Region’s Best B.O.S.S. program here at Fort Wainwright, is organized to support the overall quality of single Soldiers’ lives. B.O.S.S. encourages and assists single Soldiers in identifying and planning for recreational and leisure activities. B.O.S.S. organizes incredible trips all year long to do a wide variety of exciting adventures, events, and more! We interviewed SPC Austin Mooney, who has been with the Fort Wainwright B.O.S.S. program since July 2017. We asked what his favorite B.O.S.S. trips have been and he said that his favorite trips are the Palmer Skydiving and R & R Anchorage Trips. He enjoys the breathtaking views while out adventuring Alaska with B.O.S.S. We look forward to seeing all of our B.OS.S. eligible Soldiers, this includes Single Service Members, Single with Dependents, and GeoBachelors, on one of our many excursions to explore this vast state. Let your voice be heard & get involved! The bi-monthly installation B.O.S.S. meetings are a great way to learn about upcoming B.O.S.S. opportunities, shape upcoming activities, and voice your concerns. Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at 1:30 p.m. at the Warrior Zone. These bimonthly installation meetings are open to all military and civilian DoD ID Cardholders.
