Técnicos de Cabo Verde, Valencia, Doñana y Canarias comparten sus experiencias sobre la reproducción de tortugas FMHOY - Fuerteventura Analizar las experiencias en materia de conservación de las tortugas ‘in situ’ en Cabo Verde, la reproducción asistida de las mismas que se siguen en el Oceanográfico de Valencia, o las técnicas para la restauración de anidación de tortugas marinas fueron las conferencias con las que se abriría el pasado mes de marzo, la jornada de trabajo que Proyecto Pelagos organizó en Fuerteventura.

En la mesa inaugural de la jornada estuvieron la vice consejera de medio ambiente del gobierno de Canarias, Guacimara Medina; el director general de Protección de la Naturaleza, José Fernández; el director general de Ambiente del Gobierno de Cabo Verde, Moisés Borges; la consejera de Presidencia, Medio Ambiente de Fuerteventura, Natalia Évora; y el alcalde de Pájara, Rafael Perdomo.

Pelagos, un proyecto que nació como iniciativa de la vice consejería de medio ambiente del gobierno de Canarias a través de su Dirección General de Protección de la Naturaleza, como un modelo para la gestión coordinada de los recursos naturales marinos en la Macaronesia y que ha sido posible gracias a la cofinanciación de los Fondos Europeos de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER) que cubre el 85% del coste total de la iniciativa dentro del programa europeo MAC (Madeira-Azores-Canarias) y Cabo Verde.

Todos ellos junto al Gobierno de Canarias, a través de su vice consejería de Medio Ambiente, la Dirección General de Relaciones con África, el Cabildo de Fuerteventura y la Dirección General de Medio Ambiente de la República de Cabo Verde, estarán presentes

este fin de semana en Fuerteventura.

Tras la inauguración se iniciaría la jornada de trabajo con la ponencia de Sonia Araujo, Focal Point of CBD and Marine Turtle Conservation Coordinator de la Dirección General de Ambiente de la República de Cabo Verde, quien expuso la experiencia de Cabo Verde en conservación de la especie in situ.

Tras ella José Luis Crespo Picazo, responsable del área de recuperación de tortugas del Oceanográfico de Valencia, e Ignacio Giménez, director técnico de RaraAvis, empresa especialista en Reproducción Asistida se hicieron cargo de informar sobre los procesos de reproducción asistida de la tortuga marina.

Los fundamentos y técnicas de la restauración de anidación de tortugas marinas compondrían la ponencia de Adolfo Marco Llorente, investigador de la Estación Biológica de Doñana.

Los trámites administrativos CITES que es necesario seguir para la correcta reintroducción de la especie en España fueron repasados por Juan Paredes López. Jefe de Servicio CITES y Margarita Rodríguez Corripio, directora adjunta del Servicio de Inspección SOIVRE dependiente de la Dirección Territorial de Comercio Las Palmas Por último Antonio Gallardo, director gerente de la Reserva de la Biosfera de Fuerteventura y responsable técnico del Proyecto de Reintroducción de Tortugas en Fuerteventura junto con Ana Belén Casal López, veterinaria del Vivero de Neonatos y Centro de Recuperación de Tortugas Sodade, pusieron sobre la mesa la realidad de la conservación de tortugas ‘ex situ’, así como las tareas realizadas con las áreas protegidas en Fuerteventura.

Technicians from Cape Verde, Valencia, Doñana and the Canaries share their experiences on turtle reproduction FMHOY - Fuerteventura Analysing experiences concerning preservation of turtles “in situ” in Cape Verde, their assisted reproduction in the Oceanographic Aquarium of Valencia, or the techniques to recreate nesting of marine turtles were some of the conferences that opened the working day of the Pelagos Project organised in Fuerteventura in March.

The main table brought together the environment deputy councillor of the Canarian Government, Guacimara Medina; the general director for the Protection of Nature, José Fernández; the environment general director of the Government of Cape Verde, Moisés Borges; the Presidency councillor, Fuerteventura’s Environment Councillor, Natalia Évora; and Pájara’s Mayor, Rafael Perdomo.

Pelagos is a project that was created as an initiative from the environment council of the Canarian Government through the General Department of Nature Protection, as a model for the coordinated management of natural marine resources in Macaronesia which was made possible thanks to co-financing from the European Funds for Regional Development (FEDER) that covers 85% of the total cost of the initiative within the European MAC programme (MadeiraAzores-Canaries) and Cape Verde.

All of them together with the Canarian Government, through its deputy Environment Council, the General Department of Relations with Africa, Fuerteventura’s Cabildo and the General Environment Department of the Republic of Cape Verde, were present in Fuerteventura for this event. After the inauguration, the working day started with a speech from Sonia Araujo, Focal Point of CBD and Marine Turtle Conservation Coordinator of the Environment General Head Department in Cape Verde, who explained their experience in Cape Verde for the preservation of the species in situ.

Then, José Luis Crespo Picazo, in charge of the recuperation of turtles at the Oceanographic Aquarium of Valencia, and Ignacio Giménez, technical director of RaraAvis, a company specialised in Assisted Reproduction provided information about the assisted reproduction processes of marine turtles.

The bases and techniques for nesting restoration of marine turtles were the subject of Adolfo Marco Llorente’s speech, researcher at the Doñana Biological Station.

The CITES administrative proceedings which are necessary to correctly reintroduce the species in Spain were outlined by Juan Paredes López, the CITES Service Chief and Margarita Rodríguez Corripio, deputy director of the SOIVRE Inspection Service which depends from the Territorial Commerce Department of Las Palmas.

Finally, Antonio Gallardo, managing director of Fuerteventura’s Biosphere Reserve and technical manager of the Turtle Reintroduction Project in Fuerteventura together with Ana Belén Casal López, veterinarian of the Neonate Nursery and the Sodade Turtle Recuperation Centre, explained the reality of turtle preservation “ex situ”, as well as the work carried out in Fuerteventura’s protected areas.

An der Eröffnungsrunde der Tagung nahmen die stellvertretende Beauftragte für Umwelt der Regierung der Kanaren, Guacimara Medina; der Generaldirektor für Naturschutz, José Fernández, der Generaldirektor für Umwelt der Regierung der Kapverden, Moisés Borges, die Beauftragte für die Präsidentschaft sowie für die Umwelt von Fuerteventura, Natalia Évora, und der Bürgermeister von Pájara, Rafael Perdomo, teil.

Das Pelagos-Projekt entstand als Initiative der stellvertretenden Beauftragten für Umwelt der Regierung der Kanaren, das von dessen Generalverwaltung für Naturschutz durchgeführt wird. Es ist ein Modell für die koordinierte Verwaltung der natürlichen Ressourcen des Meeres in Makaronesien, das dank der Kofinanzierung des Europäischen Fonds für die regionale Entwicklung (EFRE) ermöglicht wurde, der im Rahmen des europäischen Programms MAC (Madeira – Azoren – Kanaren) und Kapverden 85% der Gesamtkosten übernimmt.

Alle Beteiligten werden zusammen mit dem Amt für Umwelt der Regierung der Kanaren, der Generaldirektion für die Beziehungen zu Afrika, dem Cabildo von Fuerteventura und der Generaldirektion für Umwelt der Kapverden an diesem Wochenende in Fuerteventura.

Nach der Eröffnung begann der Arbeitstag mit dem Vortrag „Focal Point of CBD and Marine Turtle Conservation” von Sonia Araujo, dem Koordinator der Generaldirektion für Umwelt der Republik der Kapverden, der über die Erfahrung der Kapverden mit dem Erhalt dieser Art in situ berichtete.

José Luis Crespo Picazo, der Verantwortliche für die Wiederansiedlung von Schildkröten des „Oceanográfico“ von Valencia, und Ignacio Giménez, der technische Direktor von RaraAvis, einem Unternehmen, das auf unterstützte Fortpflanzung spezialisiert ist, informierten die Anwesenden danach über die unterstützte Fortpflanzung der Meeresschildkröten. Über die Grundlagen und Techniken der Wiedereinführung der Nidation der Meeresschildkröten berichtete Adolfo Marco Llorente, ein Forscher der biologischen Station von Doñana.

Die Verwaltungsverfahren CITES die für die richtige Wiedereinführung dieser Art in Spanien notwendig sind, wurden von Juan Paredes López, dem Leiter des Dienstes von CITES, und von Margarita Rodríguez Corripio referiert, die stellvertretende Direktorin des Inspektionsdienstes SOIVRE ist, welcher der Regionaldirektion für Handel von Las Palmas untersteht.

Antonio Gallardo, der Direktor des Biosphärenreservates von Fuerteventura und technischer Verantwortlicher des Projektes für die Wiedereinführung von Schildkröten auf Fuerteventura ist, und Ana Belén Casal López, eine Tierärztin des „Babyhauses ” und des Zentrums Sodade für die Wiedereinführung von Schildkröten, erklärten zum Schluss etwas über den Erhalt der Schildkröten ‚ex situ’ und berichteten über die Arbeiten, die in den geschützten Gebieten von Fuerteventura durchgeführt wurden.

Corralejo ingresa en el mapa de zonas turísticas con un hotel para deportistas de élite FMHOY - Fuerteventura El concejal de Turismo del Ayuntamiento de La Oliva, Marcelino Umpiérrez, asistió el pasado mes a la Feria Internacional de Turismo más importante del mundo, la ITB de Berlín, para seguir impulsando la promoción turística del municipio y analizar, junto a los turoperadores, las perspectivas de ventas para las próximas temporadas.

El concejal de Turismo asistió a la presentación, en la capital alemana, del Oasis Papagayo Sport , junto al consejero de Turismo del Cabildo Insular de Fuerteventura, Blas Acosta; el director comercial de Oasis Hoteles, Antonio Ibáñez y el asesor deportivo de esta cadena, Thomas Martin. Un producto que supone el ingreso de Corralejo en el selecto club de zonas turísticas con complejos especializados en el deporte y dirigido a los deportistas de élite.

Durante la presentación, se señaló que gracias a este complejo ha habido un incremento en la llegada de turistas alemanes atraídos por este producto. Por ejemplo, este hotel recibió tan sólo a 100 turistas alemanes en el pasado invierno y en lo que va de esta temporada ya ha superado los 2.000.

Este producto no sólo va dirigido a triatletas, nadadores, ciclistas y corredores de élite, sino también a todo aquel amante del deporte y, para ello, se ha hecho una gran inversión en instalaciones deportivas de alto standing, donde destaca la piscina olímpica para nadadores profesionales, que viajarán a las Isla atraídos por el magnífico clima en la temporada de invierno.

Este perfil de turista, según los datos aportados por la Concejalía de Turismo, suele viajar junto a su familia –“Familias activas”-, convirtiéndose en el concepto de turista deportivo-familiar y generando economía en la zona.

Además, otra ventaja es que en este establecimiento se suprime el “todo incluido”, por lo que repercutirá en la amplia oferta de la restauración local, así como en el resto de comercios, dado que se trata de un turista con un perfil económico medio-alto.

Por otra parte, la OET de Frankfurt comunicó al concejal de Turismo que organizarán un “fam trip” de ocho periodistas de reconocido prestigio de Alemania, que viajarán a la Isla para asistir a la celebración del XXV aniversario del Festival Internacional de Cometas.

Corralejo wird in das Verzeichnis der touristischen Gebiete mit Hotels für Elitesportler aufgenommen FMHOY - Fuerteventura Der Beauftragte für Tourismus des Ayuntamiento von La Oliva, Marcelino Umpiérrez, nahm im vergangenen Monat in Berlin an der wichtigsten Tourismusmesse der Welt, der ITB, teil, um die für den Tourismus in der Gemeinde zu werben und gemeinsam mit den Reiseveranstaltern die Verkaufsperspektiven für die nächste Saison zu analysieren.

Der Beauftragte für Tourismus nahm in der deutschen Hauptstadt an der Präsentation von Oasis Papagayo Sport teil. Außerdem waren folgende Personen anwesend: Der Beauftragte für Tourismus des Cabildo der Insel Fuerteventura, Blas Acosta, der kaufmännische Direktor des Oasis Hoteles, Antonio Ibáñez, und der Sportberater dieser Hotelkette, Thomas Martin.

Dadurch wurde Corralejo in den erlesenen Club der touristischen Regionen aufgenommen, in denen es

Hotelanlagen gibt, die auf Sport spezialisiert sind und sich an Elitesportler wenden.

Während dieser Präsentation wurde betont, dass dank dieser Hotelanlage mehr Deutsche Touristen kommen, die an diesem Angebot interessiert sind. Ein Beispiel dafür ist, dass vorher nur 100 deutsche Touristen dieses Hotel im letzten Winter besuchten, in dieser Saison waren es dagegen schon mehr als 2.000.

Dieses Produkt ist nicht nur für erstklassige Dreikämpfer, Schwimmer, Radfahrer und Läufer bestimmt, sondern für alle Sportbegeisterten. Aus diesem Grund wurde viel in Sportanlagen mit einem hohen Standing investiert. Man muss vor allem das olympische Schwimmbad für Profischwimmer erwähnen, welche wegen dem hervorragenden Wetter in der Wintersaison auf die Insel kommen.

Aus Daten, die vom Amt für Tourismus zur Verfügung gestellt wurden, geht hervor, dass diese Art von Touristen gewöhnlich mit ihrer Familie reist. „Aktive Familien“ wird auf diese Weise zum Konzept eines Sport- und Familientourismus, der die Wirtschaft der Gegend ankurbeln soll.

Ein weiterer Vorteil ist, dass dieses Hotel keine “all-inklusive-Angebote” macht. Davon werden die zahlreichen örtlichen Restaurants und andere Geschäfte profitieren, denn diese Touristen haben eine mittlere Kaufkraft. Überdies teilte das spanische Tourismusbüro von Frankfurt dem Beauftragten für Tourismus mit, dass sie einen „Fam Trip” für acht angesehene Journalisten aus Deutschland organisieren wird, die auf die Insel reisen werden, um am XXV. Internationalen Drachenfestival teilzunehmen.

The Tourism Councillor was present during the presentation in the German capital of the Oasis Papagayo Sport, together with Fuerteventura’s Cabildo’s Tourism Councillor, Blas Acosta; the commercial director of the Oasis Hotels, Antonio Ibañez and the hotel chain’s sports’ consultant, Thomas Martin. This product brings Corralejo into the exclusive club of tourist areas specialised in sports and aimed at elite athletes.

During the presentation, it was pointed out that this complex has created an increase in the arrivals of German tourists attracted by this product. For example, the hotel had only received 100 German tourists last winter whereas it has already gone beyond 2000 for this season.

This product is not purely aimed at elite triathletes, swimmers, cyclists or runners, but it is also for anyone who likes sports and this is the reason why a great investment was made in sports facilities of high standing, with an Olympic size pool for professional

swimmers who will travel to the island for its wonderful climate during the winter season.

This profile of tourists, according to the data provided by the Tourism Council, tend to travel with their families – “Active Families” -, transforming it into a concept of sports-family tourism which will generate a boost in the areas’ economy.

Furthermore, the other advantage of this complex is that the “all inclusive” package has been removed.

This will have a great impact on local restaurants, and other businesses since we are dealing with tourists of medium-high financial profile.

On the other hand, the Frankfurt OET indicated to the Tourism Councillor that they will organise a “famtrip” for eight well known German journalists, who will travel to the Island in order to be present during the 15th International Kite Festival.

Transportes instala sistemas de eficiencia energética en la Estación Insular de guaguas FMHOY - Fuerteventura La Consejería de Transportes del Cabildo de Fuerteventura, que dirige Natalia Évora, ha instalado nuevos equipos de iluminación eficiente y sistemas de optimización del rendimiento en la Estación Insular de Guaguas, dentro de una línea de trabajo que se vienen desarrollando en los últimos años y que ya ha incluido también otras iniciativas como la instalación de iluminación a través de placas solares en paradas de guaguas.

En esta ocasión ha supuesto una inversión de 13.358 euros, en un proyecto que fue aprobado y financiado en parte dentro de la convocatoria de la Consejería de Empleo, Industria y Comercio del Gobierno de Canarias para el fomento del ahorro y la eficiencia energética, junto al Instituto para la Diversificación y Ahorro de Energía y el Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional.

“Se han sustituido las luminarias interiores de edificio por otras más eficientes y con menor consumo energético. También se han instalado sensores que detectan el movimiento y por lo tanto sólo encienden la luz cuando es necesario. Además, se ha regulado el encendido de acuerdo con la luminosidad, para adaptarlo mejor a los cambios de estación. Calculamos que estos cambios permitan ahorrar entre un 20 y un 30% de consumo eléctrico, teniendo en cuenta que la media anual está estimada en unos 78.600 Kwh/

Das Amt für Verkehr installiert Systeme für die energetische Effizienz am Busbahnhof der Insel FMHOY - Fuerteventura Das Amt für Verkehrswesen des Cabildo de Fuerteventura, das von Natalia Évora geleitet wird, hat neue Anlagen für eine effiziente Beleuchtung und Systeme für die Optimierung der Leistung am Insel-Busbahnhof installiert. Dies geschah im Rahmen von Arbeiten, die in den letzten Jahren durchgeführt werden und zu denen auch andere Initiativen, wie die Installierung von Solarplatten an Bushaltestellen, gehören.

In diesem Fall wurden 13.358 Euro in ein Projekt investiert, das im Rahmen der Ausschreibung für die Förderung von Energieersparnis und Energieeffizienz des Amtes für Beschäftigung, Industrie und Handel der Regierung der Kanaren verabschiedet und teilweise finanziert wurde.

Diese Initiative wird überdies von dem Institut für Diversifizierung und Energiesparen und dem europäischen Fond für die regionale Entwicklung gefördert.

“Die inneren Lichtquellen des gesamten Gebäudes wurden durch effizientere ersetzt, die weniger Energie verbrauchen. Überdies wurden Sensoren installiert, die Bewegungen feststellen und das Licht nur einschalten, wenn dies notwendig ist. Außerdem wird das Einschalten aufgrund der Helligkeit reguliert, um es besser an die Jahreszeit anzupassen. Man geht davon aus, dass dank dieser Maßnahmen 20 bis 30 % des Energieverbrauchs gespart werden kann.

Man schätzt, dass dies ungefähr 78.600 Kwh/Jahr beträgt. Wir haben vor, derartige Maßnahmen auch in den übrigen Installationen des Verkehrsnetzes durchzuführen,” erklärte die Beauftragte für Verkehrswesen, Natalia Évora.

Der Busbahnhof der Insel hat zwei Etagen. Das Erdgeschoss hat eine Fläche von ungefähr 4.355 m2, das Obergeschoss dagegen ist 2.029 m2 groß. Die Installierung von neuen Beleuchtungsanlagen ermöglichte es, die alten Leuchtröhren durch neue zu ersetzen, die effizienter sind, ohne dass dadurch das Niveau der Beleuchtung beeinträchtigt wird. Dazu kommen überdies Einschaltungskontrollen und Bewegungssensoren.

The Transports Department installs energy efficiency systems in the Island’s Bus Station FMHOY - Fuerteventura The Transports Council of Fuerteventura’s Cabildo, managed by Natalia Évora, has installed new energy efficient lighting equipment and systems of performance optimisation in the Island’s Bus Station, within a line of changes that have been developed over the past few years and that include other initiatives already in place such as the installation of solar panel powered lighting in bus stops.

This initiative represents an investment of 13.358 Euros, for a project that was approved and partly financed by the Employment, Industry and Commerce Council of the Canarian Government in order to promote savings and energy efficiency, together with the Institute for Diversification and Energy Savings and the European Fund for Regional Development.

“The building’s interior lighting has been substituted for more efficient lighting that consumes less energy.

Sensors have also been fitted which detect movement and therefore only turn the lights on when necessary.

Furthermore, the lighting has been regulated according to luminosity, in order to be adapted to season changes. We estimate that those changes will save between 20 and 30% on the electricity consumption, taking into account that the yearly average is estimated at about 78.600 Kwh/year. We aim to keep on acting along this same idea in the other Transport Premises”, explained the Transport Councillor, Natalia Évora.

The installation of new lighting equipment has permitted the substitution of the old fluorescent neon lights by more efficient ones without altering the level of illumination. Entrega a la Fundación J. Carreras de la recaudación de la I Cena Solidaria contra la leucemia FMHOY - Fuerteventura Antonio V. Hormiga Alonso, presidente de la Asociación de Empresarios de Hostelería y Turismo de Fuerteventura, viajó el pasado lunes 12 de marzo a Barcelona, para entregar personalmente a la Fundación J. Carreras contra la leucemia, la recaudación obtenida en la I Cena Solidaria de la AEHTF, que tuvo lugar el pasado sábado once de febrero, en Fuerteventura.

El Presidente de la AEHTF, viajó acompañado por Carlos Cebria, asociado de la AEHTF y propietario del Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahía Real. Los recibió J. Carreras quien expresó su más sincero agradecimiento por la solidaridad mostrada desde Fuerteventura.

El importe entregado al Sr. Carreras de manos del presidente de la AEHTF cumplió la cantidad de treinta y dos mil euros (32.000€) que la Fundación destinará a la investigación para intentar dar con una solución y poder así curar la leucemia.

Hormiga, explicó al Sr. Carreras que la I Cena Solidaria contó con la incondicional ayuda del Cabildo Insular de Fuerteventura y su Consejería de Asuntos Sociales, así como del Patronato de Turismo y Reserva de la Biosfera. Añadió el Sr. Hormiga, que las aportaciones de las empresas patrocinadoras y colaboradoras fueron el soporte evidente del logro del evento, además del gran trabajo que realizaron los colaboradores voluntarios. La suma de todos, se transforma en un resultado proporcional a la respuesta de la sociedad majorera, que indica que Fuerteventura ha sido, una vez más, Solidaria hasta la Médula.

The Foundation J. Carreras recieves the proceeds from the First Solidarity Dinner Against Leukaemia FMHOY - Fuerteventura Antonio V. Hormiga Alonso, president of the Association of Fuerteventura’s Hotel and Tourism Businesses (AEHTF), travelled to Barcelona on 12th March, to personally hand over to the Foundation J. Carreras against leukaemia, the proceeds from the First Solidarity Dinner of the AEHTF that took place on Saturday 11th February in Fuerteventura.

The president of the AEHTF, travelled with Carlos Cebria, associate of the AEHTF and owner of the Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahía Real. Mr. J. Carreras welcomed them and expressed his most sincere thanks for the solidarity demonstrated in Fuerteventura.

The amount handed over to Mr. Carreras from the

president of the AEHTF represented thirty two thousand Euros (32.000 Euros) that the Foundation will address to research for a solution to cure leukaemia.

Antonio V. Hormiga, explained to Mr. Carreras that the First Solidarity Dinner was unconditionally backed up by Fuerteventura’s Cabildo and its Social Matters’ Council, as well as the Tourism and Biosphere Reserve Board. Mr. Hormiga added that the contributions of the sponsors and collaborators were an obvious support to the event’s success, as well as the great work from the volunteers. The result obtained was proportional to the response of the Majorero society, which indicated that Fuerteventura was, once again, Supportive to the Core.

Hormiga Alonso, der Vorsitzende des Unternehmerverbandes für Gaststätten- und Beherbergungsgewerbe und Tourismus von Fuerteventura, reiste am Montag den 12. März nach Barcelona, um der „Fundación J. Carreras” persönlich den Ertrag des 1. Solidaritätsessens des AEHTF gegen Leukämie zu übergeben, welches am Samstag den 11. Februar auf Fuerteventura stattgefunden hatte.

Der Vorsitzende des AEHTF reiste in Begleitung von Carlos Cebria, welcher Mitglied des AEHTF und Besitzer des Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahía Real ist. Sie wurden von J. Carreras empfangen, der sich bei ihnen sehr für die Solidarität von Fuerteventura bedankte.

Carreras übergab, beträgt zweiunddreißigtausend Euro (32.000€). Die Stiftung wird dieses Geld für die Leukämieforschung verwenden.

Herr Hormiga fügte hinzu, dass zum Erfolg dieses Events auch die Unternehmen beigetragen hatten, die dieses Ereignis gesponsert hatten, sowie die freiwilligen Helfer. Sie alle haben zusammen zu diesem hervorragenden Ergebnis beigetragen, das von der Gesellschaft von Fuerteventura, die wie immer sehr solidarisch war, sehr gut aufgenommen wurde.

El pasado mes de marzo tuvo lugar la rueda de prensa que ofreció el triatleta Rasmus Henning en Playitas Resort. El deportista danés ganó el mes de marzo el triatlón internacional que tuvo lugar en Abu Dhabi. Rasmus, totalmente integrado en nuestra sociedad junto a su mujer y sus hijas se empieza a preparar ahora para su próximo reto, el Challenge Fuerteventura 2012 que tendrá lugar el próximo día 14 de abril en Playitas Resort y del que él fue el ganador el año anterior en su primera edición.

Al acto acudieron, entre otros, el alcalde del ayuntamiento de Tuineje, Salvador Delgado y la concejala y teniente alcalde del mismo municipio, Doña Pilar Rodríguez. Junto a ellos, compartieron el acto, el director general, Stephan Meyvisch, el director deportivo, Manuel Gruñeiro y el director comercial, Andrés Morente, todos ellos de Playitas Resort.

Cursos de la Escuela Canaria de Creación Literaria a través de su nueva Aula Virtual FMHOY - Fuerteventura Las personas residentes en la isla de Fuerteventura podrán seguir los cursos de la Escuela Canaria de Creación Literaria (ECCL) a través de un nuevo proyecto en Internet: el Aula Virtual. Esta nueva iniciativa, que se pone en marcha a partir de este mes de marzo, significa superar las barreras geográficas y permite participar en los programas de formación de escritores de la ECCL a los seguidores de la Escuela desde cualquier lugar.

A través del Aula Virtual, la ECCL ofrece seis programas de formación: Saber Contar, La creatividad en la escritura, Coaching literario “Escribe tu novela”, Taller de redacción y estilo, Curso de literatura infantil y juvenil y Comunidad de escritores. Participar en el Aula Virtual de la ECCL es sencillo a través del enlace de Internet: http://aulavirtual.escuelaliteraria.com.

Se puede comenzar en cualquier momento.

Antonia Molinero, directora de la Escuela, explica que el Aula Virtual ofrece a los participantes enunciados muy sugerentes, apuntes secretos y bibliografías que un escritor debe conocer. “No se lo debe perder quien aspire a escribir”, afirma Molinero, que destaca que las propuestas dirigidas a los escritores en fase de formación son “muy sugerentes y estimularán la imaginación de todos los que quieren escribir”.

Seis cursos Los dos primeros cursos están dirigidos a formar a los participantes en las técnicas literarias para textos narrativos. Coinciden con los cursos más demandados del programa de formación presencial en la ECCL. Como explica Antonia Molinero, el primero de ellos es “de iniciación”, mientras que el segundo pretende “desarrollar la imaginación de los futuros escritores”. Molinero imparte ambos cursos, junto a Carlos Castañosa y Roy Fernández Galán.

Otra de las ofertas más populares del Aula Virtual de la ECCL es el Coaching literario “Escribe tu novela”, del que se encarga el novelista tinerfeño Jorge Vedovelli. Este programa de asesoramiento individual a quienes quieren llevar hasta el final su proyecto

narrativo aporta una atención personalizada al autor, con la garantía de que la obra “siempre será suya”.

El coaching se ofrece como “un bastón” para acompañar la creación de una novela desde el momento de la idea hasta la entrega del texto a la editorial.

El taller de redacción y estilo, impartido por Coriolano González Montañez, es un curso básico de redacción en castellano concebido para las personas que necesitan consolidar o mejorar sus técnicas de redacción.

Permite mejorar la expresión personal y la comunicación por escrito y es una herramienta imprescindible para el desarrollo profesional. Este curso se puede también organizar en exclusiva para empresas.

El curso de literatura infantil y juvenil también está a cargo de Vedovelli, que aportará a los participantes las claves de esta fascinante especialidad literaria, en la que el autor destaca con una voz propia.

El objetivo de la Comunidad de Escritores es proponer un sistema disciplinado de trabajo literario a los autores.

La actividad de los participantes es tutorizada por Antonia Molinero, Carlos Castañosa y Roy Fernández Galán, quienes actúan como “un editor virtual” que solicita textos a los creadores. Al final del proceso tendrán varios relatos listos para publicar su primera obra.

Die Einwohner der Insel Fuerteventura können im Rahmen eines neuen Projektes im Internet, das „Aula Virtual” heißt ,an den Kursen der kanarischen Schule für literarische Schaffung (ECCL) teilnehmen, die im März eröffnet wurde. Auf diese Weise werden geographische Schranken überwunden, so dass man von jedem Ort aus an den Ausbildungskursen für Schriftsteller der ECCL teilnehmen kann. Über die “Aula Virtual“ bietet die ECCL sechs Ausbildungsprogramme an: Wie man erzählt, die Kreativität beim Schreiben, literarisches Coaching „Schreib deinen Roman“, Seminar über Schreiben und Stil, Kurs über Kinder- und Jugendliteratur und Schriftstellergemeinschaft. Antonia Molinero erklärt, dass der erste Kurs ein „Einführungskurs ist”, während mit dem zweiten beabsichtigt wird, „das Vorstellungsvermögen von zukünftigen Schriftstellern zu entwickeln”.

Molinero leitet diese beiden Kurse zusammen mit Carlos Castañosa und Roy Fernández Galán.

Zu den beliebtesten Angeboten der „Aula Virtual“ der ECCL gehört das literarische Coaching „schreib deinen Roman”, das von Jorge Vedovelli, einem Autor aus Teneriffa, geleitet wird. Im Rahmen dieses Programmes bekommen Autoren, die ihr literarisches Projekt verwirklichen möchten, eine persönliche Beratung.

Dem Autor wird gewährleistet, dass das Werk „immer sein Eigentum” bleiben wird. Das Coaching wird als Unterstützung angeboten, mit der der Autor bei der Schaffung seines Werkes begleitet wird, und zwar von

der Idee bis zur Abgabe des Textes beim Verlag.

Das Seminar für Schreiben und Stil, das von Coriolano González Montañez geleitet wird, ist ein Grundkurs für das Verfassen von spanischen Texten, der so ausgerichtet ist, dass die Teilnehmer ihre Schreibtechniken verbessern. Man lernt dabei sich besser schriftlich auszudrücken, was ein wichtiges Werkzeug für die professionelle Entwicklung ist. Dieser Kurs kann auch als Privatkurs für Unternehmen organisiert werden.

Der Kurs für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur, der auch von Vedovelli geleitet wird, bietet den Teilnehmern die Schlüssel zu diesem faszinierenden literarischen Genre, in dem der Autor sich durch seine eigene Persönlichkeit hervortut.

Mit der Schriftstellergemeinschaft wird beabsichtigt, den Autoren ein diszipliniertes System für die literarische Arbeit anzubieten. Bei dieser Aktivität werden die Teilnehmer von Antonia Molinero, Carlos Castañosa und Roy Fernández Galán betreut, die als „virtuelle Herausgeber” wirken, die die Künstler auffordern, ihnen die Texte zu schicken. Fuerteventura’s residents will be able to take courses at the Canarian School of Creative Literature through the new Virtual Classroom FMHOY - Fuerteventura Residents on the island of Fuerteventura will be able to take courses of the Canarian School of Creative Literature (ECCL) through a new Internet Project: the Virtual Classroom. This new initiative, which was launched in March, means that there are no geographical barriers any longer and gives access to writing training programmes of the ECL to members of the School from anywhere.

Through the Virtual Classroom, the ECCL offers six training programmes: How to tell a story, Creativity in writing, Literature Coaching “Write your novel”, Writing and style workshop, Children’s Literature Courses and Writers’ Community. Participating in the ECCL’s Virtual Classroom is simple and can be done through the link: http://aulavirtual.escuelaliteraria.com. One can start this course at anytime.

Antonia Molinero, School Director, explained that the Virtual Classroom provides participants with very suggestive wording, secret notes and bibliographies that a writer should know. “Those who aspire to write should not miss out on this”, confirmed Ms. Molinero, who pointed out the proposals aimed at writers in their training phase which are “very suggestive and stimulating for the imagination of whoever wishes to write”.

Six courses The first two courses are aimed at training participants on the literature techniques for narrative texts. They coincide with the most demanded courses of the onsite training programme of the ECCL. Antonia Molinera explained that the first one is an initiation course, while the second one aims at developing the imagination of future writers. QUIÉN ES QUIÉN EN LA ISLA / WHO’S WHO IN THE ISLAND / WER IST WER AUF DER INSEL?

“El objetivo es fomentar la igualdad de oportunidades entre mujeres y hombres” FMHOY - Fuerteventura Cuéntenos, ¿cómo surge la Asociación?

Haciendo un poco de historia, de pronto descubrí que mi vocación era trabajar con las mujeres. Con cuarenta años accedí en la universidad para estudiar Trabajo Social, porque necesitaba una titulación para poder trabajar. La terminé a los tres años y a los pocos meses de terminar la carrera llamaron a mi marido a trabajar en Fuerteventura, por lo que en pocos meses nos vinimos aquí toda la familia.

Al llegar aquí lo primero que hice fue buscar asociaciones de mujeres lo cual no me resultó posible dado que no hay casi ninguna muy activa. Tampoco salían ofertas para trabajar con mujeres a través de la asistencia social de ayuntamientos o del Cabildo, dado que esas plazas ya estaban cubiertas y así es como se me ocurrió crear esta asociación, que ya lleva un año y medio de recorrido. ¿Y por qué ese nombre de Sabias y Emprendedoras?

Es un homenaje a nuestras madres, abuelas y demás antepasados, que demostraron con muy pocas cosas a favor, lo fuertes y sabias que fueron, y todo lo que hicieron en tiempos difíciles. ¿Cuál es el propósito de esta asociación?

El objetivo de MUSABEN es fomentar la igualdad de oportunidades entre mujeres y hombres y es de ámbito insular. Como no tenemos subvención, ni apoyo económico de ningún tipo, salvo este local que nos lo ha cedido el ayuntamiento de Tuineje, por el momento sólo podemos hacer actividades puntuales, en las que hemos conseguido diferentes colaboradores y usado los pocos ingresos que hemos conseguido a través de una de las personas de la Asociación. El año pasado hicimos una Jornada de trabajos que se repite este año, el día 27 de abril, con el nombre de Tiempo de mujeres, cine, medios de comunicación y género, a partir de las cinco de la tarde en Corralejo.

La Jornada del año anterior tuvo como base de debate la exhibición de la película “Ellas”, basada en la vida de Mercedes Pinto, mujer brillante y polifacética, nacida en Tenerife y desterrada por Primo de Rivera por su abierto apoyo al divorcio en su presentación “El divorcio como medida higiénica”. Esta canaria ejemplar, fue escritora entre otros trabajos, de las novelas “El” y “Ella”, esta última autobiográfica en 1926, cuyo tema se basa en la violencia de género.

Al visionado asistió el director del film, David Baute y contó en la Mesa con Carmen Algora que siempre nos apoya moralmente.

Muchas de las asistentes, que en un principio no se sentían atraídas por la Jornada, comentaron que habían quedado entusiasmadas y que habían aprendido muchas cosas de interés. ¿Hay asistencia mixta a estas jornadas?

Participan muchas más mujeres que hombres, porque el tema de la igualdad nos afecta más a las mujeres, pero nosotros nos dirigimos a todos, porque concienciarse de esta desigualdad real que existe aún en la actualidad, es necesario para todos.

Intentamos sensibilizar a la población y que se sepa que existe un techo de cristal para las mujeres, que

hay desigualdad para optar a los puestos de poder, que los salarios son inferiores, que la violencia de género sigue siendo una lacra de esta sociedad, etc.

A partir de mayo, vamos a atender a todo tipo de mujeres, no solo las victimas de género, sino cualquier consulta o colaboración que necesiten. Voy a dedicar todo mi tiempo, a pesar de que no podré trabajar fuera, y esto me afecta a nivel económico, pero esta es mi vocación y ya veremos cómo salgo a delante. El problema es que necesitaríamos tener más personal dedicado a esta actividad, pero sin fondos es imposible. Aunque somos 60 socias, no están los tiempos para pedirles una cuota, que muchas no podrían hacer frente.

Curiosamente se activó hace poco el 016 en Tuineje y como estaban de puente, fue a nuestra asociación a quien llamaron y con la que contaron para el problema, aunque no existimos para otros conceptos.

Además la zona sur de la isla es la que tiene menos asociaciones de apoyo y ayuda para mujeres.

Un año más, Adolfo y Sagrario, propietarios del Centro Catalia en la Asomada, acompañados de varios de sus clientes y amigos, celebraron el aniversario de su Centro.

En actividad en la que hubo, como siempre, buena comida y sobre todo camaradería y buen humor, se recordaron los primeros tiempos de este Centro en el que se imparten clases de Tai Chí y Reiki, entre otras terápias holísticas alternativas.

Desde aquí les deseamos a Adolfo y Sagrario otro nuevo año de éxitos para que podamos, el próximo, celebrarlo en este mismo ambiente de amistad, profesionalidad y cariño.

“The objective is to promote equality of opportunities between women and men” FMHOY - Fuerteventura Tell us, how was the Association created?

Doing a bit of history, I soon realised that my vocation was to work with women. At forty years of age I went to university to study Social Work, because I needed a degree to be able to work. I graduated three years later and after a few months my husband was asked to work in Fuerteventura, which means that shortly after the whole family moved here.

When I got here I first started looking for women’s associations but there were hardly any that were active. There were no employment opportunities to work with women either through the Ayuntamiento’s social assistance or the Cabildo, because those positions were already filled and this is how I got the idea of creating this association, which has been running for a year and a half.

And why the name of Wise and Enterprising?

It is in honour of our mothers, grand-mothers and other ancestors who demonstrated that with very little in their favour, they were strong and wise and achieved a lot in difficult times.

What is the objective of this association?

The objective of MUSABEN is to promote equality of opportunities between women and men on the island. As we don’t get grants or financial support of any kind, apart from this local that Tuineje’s ayuntamiento provided us with, at the moment we can only organise punctual activities, which we have managed to find various collaborators for and used the small income we managed to bring in through one of the Association’s members. Last year we organised a working conference which we are organising again this year on 27th April. It is called Women’s Time, cinema, communication and gender, from 5 p.m. in Corralejo.

Last year’s conference based its debate on showing the film “Ellas”, based on the life of Mercedes Pinto, a brilliant and versatile woman, born in Tenerife and exiled by Primo de Rivera for her open support for divorce in her presentation “El divorcio como medida higiénica” (Divorce as a hygienic method). This exemplary Canarian lady, was the writer amongst other occupations, of the novels “El” (Him) and “Ella” (Her), the latter is an autobiography from 1926, whose theme is based on gender violence. The film director, David Baute, was present for the viewing and said to Carmen Algora that he was giving us moral support at all times.

A lot of the assistance, who initially were not attracted by the conference, commented that they enjoyed it and learned many interesting things.

Is it a mixed assistance during those conferences?

There are more women than men, because the theme of equality affects women the most, but we aim at everyone, because everyone should be aware of this real inequality that still exists nowadays.

We try to raise awareness amongst the population so that it gets known that there is a glass roof for women, that there is inequality when it comes to power positions, salaries are lower, gender violence is still a curse in our society, etc.

From May onwards, we will attend all kinds of women, not only gender victims, but for any query or collaboration they may seek. I am going to dedicate all my time to it, despite the fact that I won’t be able to work otherwise, and this is going to affect me financially, but this is my vocation and we will see how it turns out. The problem is that we would need more staff dedicated to this activity, but without funds it is

impossible. Although there are 60 members, now is not the time to ask for registration fees, as many of them could not afford it.

Curiously the number 016 was activated a short while back in Tuineje and because there was a bank holiday, it is our association that they called to tell their problems although we don’t exist for other concepts. Furthermore the south of the island is where there are the fewest numbers of associations of support and help for women.

“Wir möchten die Chancengleichheit von Frauen und Männern fördern“ FMHOY - Fuerteventura Erzählen Sie uns bitte, wie dieser Verband entstanden ist?

Ich fühlte mich auf einmal dazu berufen, mit Frauen zu arbeiten. Mit vierzig habe ich mich in der Uni eingeschrieben, um Sozialarbeit zu studieren, denn ich brauchte ein Diplom, um diese Tätigkeit ausüben zu können. Ich habe dieses Studium vor drei Jahren abgeschlossen, und wenige Monate danach wurde mein Mann aus beruflichen Gründen nach Fuerteventura versetzt. Kurze Zeit später kamen wir mit der ganzen Familie hierher.

Als ich hier her kam, suchte ich sofort nach einem Frauenverband. Das erschien mir unmöglich, denn es gibt fast keinen aktiven derartigen Verband. Es gab auch keine Angebote, über das Sozialamt, die Gemeinde oder den Cabildo mit Frauen zu arbeiten, denn diese Stellen waren schon vergeben. Auf diese Weise kam ich auf die Idee, diesen Verband zu gründen, den es nun schon seit eineinhalb Jahren gibt.

Warum haben Sie den Namen „weise und unternehmerische Frauen” gewählt?

Das ist eine Hommage für unsere Mütter, Großmütter und andere Vorfahrinnen, die in schwierigen Situationen bewiesen, dass sie stark und weise waren, außerdem leisteten sie in schweren Zeiten sehr viel.

Was ist das Ziel dieses Verbandes?

MUSABEN beabsichtigt, die Chancengleichheit von Frauen und Männern auf Inselebene zu fördern. Wir bekommen weder Subventionen noch andere finanzielle Unterstützungen, außer den Räumlichkeiten, die uns die Gemeinde von Tuineje überlassen hat.

Aus diesem Grund führen wir zurzeit nur gezielte Aktivitäten durch. Dabei hatten wir verschiedene Mitarbeiter und wir verwendeten die geringen Einnahmen, die wir durch eine der Personen des Verbandes erhielten. Im vergangenen Jahr veranstalteten wir einen Arbeitstag, den wir dieses Jahr wiederholten

werden. Er findet am 27. April ab fünf Uhr nachmittags in Corralejo statt und hat den Titel „Zeit der Frauen, Kino, Medien und Geschlecht”.

Im vergangenen Jahr gab es eine Filmvorführung mit Diskussion; Wir zeigten den Film „Ellas”, welcher von dem Leben der Mercedes Pinto handelt, einer brillanten und vielseitigen Frau, die auf Teneriffa geboren und von Primo de Rivera in die Verbannung geschickt wurde, weil sie sich bei ihrer Präsentation von „Die Scheidung als hygienische Maßnahme“ offen für Scheidung einsetzte. Diese vorbildliche Kanarierin war unter anderem Autorin der Romane „El”

und Ella”. Letzterer, den sie 1926 verfasste, ist autobiografisch und handelt von Gewalt gegen Frauen.

Bei der Vorführung war der Regisseur des Films David Baute anwesend, außerdem nahm Carmen Algora an der Diskussionsrunde teil, die uns immer moralisch unterstützt.

Viele der Teilnehme, die anfangs kein großes Interesse an der Veranstaltung hatten, erzählten uns, dass sie begeistert waren und viele Wissenswertes gelernt hatten.

Ist das Publikum bei diesen Veranstaltungen gemischt?

Es kommen mehr Frauen als Männer, weil uns Frauen das Thema der Gleichberechtigung mehr betrifft. Wir wenden uns jedoch an alle, denn es ist notwendig, dass sich alle der Diskrimination bewusst werden.

Wir versuchen, die Bevölkerung zu sensibilisieren.

Es sollte bekannt werden, dass es ein Kristalldach für Frauen gibt und dass es keine Chancengleichheit für die Erlangung von wichtigen Positionen gibt, dass die Löhne für Frauen niedriger sind und dass es in unserer Gesellschaft weiterhin Gewalt gegen Frauen gibt.

Wie können sich diejenigen mit Ihnen in Verbindung setzen, die an dieser zweiten Tagung teilnehmen möchten?

Ab Mai werden wir Frauen beraten, nicht nur misshandelte Frauen. Wir werden Frauen zu jedem Thema beraten und in allen Bereichen unterstützen, in denen sie das benötigen. Ich werde dieser Aufgabe meine ganze Zeit widmen, obwohl das bedeutet, dass ich keine andere Arbeit machen kann, was mich auf ökonomischer Ebene treffen wird. Aber ich fühle mich zu dieser Tätigkeit berufen und werde sehen, wie ich voran komme. Das Problem ist, dass wir mehr Personal bräuchten, aber keine Mittel haben, um es zu beschäftigen. Unser Verband hat zwar 60 Mitglieder, aber in diesen Zeiten kann man keinen Mitgliedsbeitrag verlangen, weil sich viele das nicht leisten könnten.

Es ist interessant, dass vor kurzem die 016 in Tuineje aktiviert wurde. Da Brückenwochenende war, rief man unseren Verband an, um das Problem zu lösen, auch wenn wir nicht für andere Konzepte existieren. Außerdem gibt es im Süden weniger Verbände, die Frauen unterstützen.

“Ofrecemos también cursos para aprender a utilizar la cámara réflex” FMHOY - Fuerteventura ¿Que otros eventos suelen solicitar su servicio?

Carnavales, books profesionales de modelos, bautizos, cumpleaños, etc. Yo no trabajo con plantillas para realizar los recordatorios, tarjetas navideñas, invitaciones de boda, etc., como suelen hacer otros estudios. Diseño mis propias plantillas para estos casos. Un ejemplo fue, en esta Navidad, la incorporación de una foto en las tarjetas con los niños, la cual había sido previamente fotografiada en el estudio y fue plasmada posteriormente. ¿Otras novedades en su establecimiento?

Utilizo un papel de gran calidad para la impresión de las copias que nos solicitan. Es un papel plastificado, de la casa Kodak, que no marca las huellas ni se estropea si le cae agua y es muy difícil de romper, con el mismo precio en las copias que el papel corriente de siempre. ¿También ofrece cursos de fotografía?

Sí, junto con un fotógrafo de Las Palmas, José Tandem, hemos dado cursos a principiantes, para aprender a utilizar una cámara réflex. Son tres días con un costo de 50,00 €. Ya tenemos abierta la matrícula del curso que daremos los días 13 al 15 de abril para principiantes y avanzado y después seguiremos avanzando también en cursos de mayor nivel. Marisa Ruiz es la nueva profesional del campo de la fotografía afincada en Gran Tarajal.

Su originalidad y creatividad, han puesto una nota diferente en el concepto de fotos de estudio. Ha roto los moldes tradicionales, incorporando también nueva tecnología y queremos saber algo más de ella. ¿Desde cuándo trabaja en este estudio de fotografía y revelado?

Un año y medio, pero mi carrera ha sido sobre todo publicitaría; estudie arte y dibujo publicitario y la fotografía fue algo posterior, sobre todo desde hace siete años, al llegar a Fuerteventura. Luego surgió el traspaso de este negocio de fotografía y es cuando me he dedicado más intensamente aportando todos mis conocimientos de diseño, Photoshop y fondos digitales a la fotografía. ¿Observamos que le gusta mucho incorporar la naturaleza a sus fotos?

Me gusta mucho el exterior, le da mucha fuerza y naturalidad a la fotografía. También en el estudio procuro innovar, pero siempre es más limitado.

En esta época de comuniones, bodas etc., ¿se la puede contratar para realizar reportajes en el exterior?

Sí, para cualquier tipo de evento, tanto en mi estudio como fuera de él. Intento captar la idea de mi cliente y aportarle novedades que sean de su agrado.

FMHOY - Fuerteventura Marisa Ruiz is the new professional in the photography field in Gran Tarajal.

Her originality and creativity have brought in a different note to the photo concept of the studio. She broke the traditional moulds by bringing in new technology also and we wanted to know more about her.

How long have you worked in this photography studio?

One year and a half, but my career was mostly aimed at advertising; I studied art and advertisement drawing

and photography came later, mostly seven years ago when I arrived in Fuerteventura. Then this photography shop came up for lease and this is when I dedicated myself more intensely by bringing all my design knowledge, Photoshop and digital background to photography.

We notice that you like to incorporate nature in your photos.

I like the great outdoors a lot; it brings strength and naturalness to photography. I also intend to innovate in the studio, but it is still quite limited.

At this time of the year with communions, weddings, etc. can people hire you for exterior photo shoots?

Yes, for any type of event, both inside and outside the studio. I intend to captivate my clients’ ideas and bring novelties that they will enjoy.

What other events tend to require your services?

Carnivals, models’ professional books, baptisms, birthdays, etc. I don’t use templates for cards, Christmas cards, wedding invitations, etc. as other studios do. I design my own templates. For example, last year’s Christmas cards, I added a photo of children taken previously in the studio, which I added on later.

Are there other novelties in your establishment?

I use high quality paper for reprints that clients order. It is a Kodak laminated paper, that doesn’t show fingerprints and doesn’t get damaged by water, it is also very difficult to destroy, and for the same price as reprints on traditional paper.

Do you also offer photography courses?

Yes, together with a photograph from Las Palmas, José Tandem, we started with beginner courses, teaching how to use a reflex camera. The course takes three days and costs 50 Euros. We already have registrations for the next course and later we will continue progressing with medium level courses. Ihre Originalität und Kreativität verleihen ihren Studio-Fotos einen besonderen Touch. Sie hat sich von den traditionellen Mustern entfernt und verwendet auch neue Technologien. Wir wollten mehr von ihr wissen.

Seit wann Arbeiten Sie in diesem Studio für Fotografie und Entwicklung?

Seit eineinhalb Jahren, aber ich habe meinen

Werdegang vor allem in der Werbebranche gemacht.

Ich habe Kunst und Werbedesign studiert. Mit der Fotografie habe ich später angefangen, vor allem seitdem ich vor sieben Jahren nach Fuerteventura kam. Dann bekam ich die Möglichkeit, dieses FotoStudio zu übernehmen, und ich habe mich dieser Tätigkeit stärker gewidmet und all meine Kenntnisse des Designs, von Photoshop und digitalen Grundlagen zur Fotografie beigetragen.

Wir haben gemerkt, dass Sie die Natur gerne auf Ihren Fotos zeigen?

Ich fotografiere gerne draußen, denn Außenaufnahmen sind stark und natürlich. Auch im Studio mache

ich gerne innovative Sachen, aber die Möglichkeiten sind dort begrenzter.

Ist es möglich, Sie in dieser Zeit, in der viele Kommunionen, Hochzeiten usw. stattfinden, für Außenaufnahmen zu bestellen?

Ja, ich fotografiere jede Art von Events und nehme Aufträge sowohl in meinem Studio als auch draußen an. Ich bemühe mich, die Vorstellungen meiner Kunden zu verwirklichen und innovative Ideen beizusteuern, die ihnen gefallen.

Für welche Events ruft man Sie gewöhnlich?

Karneval, professionelle Books von Models, Taufen, Geburtstagspartys usw. Ich arbeite nicht mit Vorlagen, um Erinnerungsfotos, Weihnachtskarten, Einladungen zu Hochzeiten usw. zu machen, wie es andere Studios tun. Für diese Fälle entwerfe ich meine eigenen Vorlagen. Zum Beispiel habe ich an Weihnachten auf den Karten ein Foto mit Kindern benutzt, das zuerst im Studio aufgenommen und

später bearbeitet wurde.

Welche Neuheiten gibt es bei Ihnen sonst noch?

Ich verwende hochwertiges Papier für die Abzüge, die bei uns bestellt werden. Es ist ein plastifiziertes Papier der Marke Kodak, auf dem man keine Spuren sieht und das nicht kaputtgeht, wenn Wasser darauf tropft. Es ist sehr haltbar und kostet das gleiche wie das alte Fotopapier.

Stimmt es, dass Sie auch Fotokurse anbieten?

Ja, ich habe zusammen mit einem Fotografen aus Las Palmas, José Tandem, Anfängerkurse gegeben, in denen die Teilnehmer lernten, mit der Reflexkamera umzugehen. Diese Kurse dauern drei Tage und Kosten 50,00 €. Für den nächsten Kurs haben sich schon Teilnehmer angemeldet. Danach möchten wir auch einen Kurs für Fortgeschrittene anbieten. Motivos para visitar Canarias en Semana Santa FMHOY - Fuerteventura Las Islas Afortunadas tienen el privilegio de estar entre los destinos favoritos para las próximas vacaciones de Semana Santa. Pero, ¿cuáles son las razones por las que los turistas apuestan por la comunidad canaria? Aquí destacamos algunos de los motivos que justifican su elección…

1. Las playas. La primavera acaba de comenzar y, en muchos lugares, el tiempo continúa siendo inestable. En Canarias, sin embargo, las temperaturas acompañan y se puede disfrutar de las playas en islas como Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote o Fuerteventura durante buena parte del año.

2. El clima. El clima cálido, seco y estable de las Islas Canarias es una razón de peso a la hora de planificar unas vacaciones. Durante todo el año, las condiciones climatológicas permiten disfrutar del sol y de actividad deportivas de todo tipo. Con una primavera que se prolonga durante 12 meses, las temperaturas de las Islas Afortunadas oscilan entre los 18 y los 24º C. 3. Parque Nacional de Teide. Situado en el centro de Tenerife, se trata del parque nacional que más visitas recibe anualmente y es Patrimonio Mundial de la Humanidad por la Unesco desde 1954. Cuenta con el tercer volcán más alto del mundo y con paisajes volcánicos de gran belleza natural. Además, no debemos olvidar que el Teide es el pico más alto de España con una altura de 3.718 metros.

4. Turismo rural. Aunque pensar en Canarias es, en la mayoría de los casos, pensar en mar y playa,

lo cierto es que la oferta de turismo rural está muy consolidada con más de 650 alojamientos. Los últimos datos revelan que el grado de ocupación en el archipiélago es cuatro veces superior a la media nacional.

5. Paisajes. La riqueza paisajística y natural de la comunidad canaria permite disfrutar de las aguas cristalinas del océano Atlántico, de las finas arenas de playas paradisiacas o de los parajes de origen volcánico.

6. Procesiones. En Canarias también hay opción de disfrutar de las procesiones que inundan un sinfín de ciudades españolas en Semana Santa. Las cofradías toman las calles para protagonizar manifestaciones

religiosas y culturales como las de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canarias o San Cristóbal de la Laguna, entre otras. Estas procesiones cuentan con el respaldo de un público multitudinario, muchos de ellos turistas.

7. Infraestructura hotelera. La mayoría de las islas disponen de una amplia oferta hotelera dotada de todo tipo de servicios. Campings, alojamientos rurales, complejos hoteleros,… Una amplia variedad que se adapta a todos los bolsillos y a las diferentes necesidades del visitante.

8. Isla de Lobos. En Fuerteventura tenemos la opción de visitar la pequeña isla de Lobos. Este paraíso del submarinismo constituye, por sí solo, un destino muy recomendable para descubrir. Situada a 5 kilómetros de Corralejo, se puede acceder en barco para explorar el que antaño fue el hogar de miles de focas monje.

9. Deportes náuticos. Las islas permiten disfrutar del mar y de los deportes náuticos durante todo el año. Vela, buceo, pesca deportiva, windsurf,… Una oferta con opciones para todos los gustos que permite aprovechar las aguas cálidas, el viento, la belleza natural y las óptimas condiciones del mar.

10. Turismo familiar. Las islas ofrecen una buena gama de destinos idóneos para visitar en familia. Parques temáticos para conocer animales exóticos o divertirse en las atracciones, excursiones en barco, deportes náuticos, establecimientos recomendados, parques naturales,… ¡Una apuesta segura para unas vacaciones con niños donde podrán disfrutar grandes y pequeños!

Reasons to visit the Canary Islands for Holly Week FMHOY - Fuerteventura The Fortunate Islands have the advantage of being amongst the favourite destinations for the forthcoming holidays during Holly Week. But, why do tourists choose the Canarian community? Here are some of the reasons that justify their choice…

1. Beaches. Spring has just started and in many locations, the weather is still unstable. In the Canaries however, the temperatures are mild and one can enjoy the beaches on the islands of Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote or Fuerteventura most of the year.

2. The climate. The Canary Islands’ warm climate, dry and stable is one of the main objectives when it comes to planning a holiday. All year round, the climate conditions allow us to enjoy the sun and all kinds of sports’ activities.

With a spring season that lasts 12 months, the temperatures of the Fortunate Islands vary between 18 and 24ºC. 3. The Teide National Park. Situated in the centre of Tenerife, this is the most visited national park and is part of UNESCO’s Humanity World Heritage since 1954. It includes the third highest volcano in the world and offers volcanic landscapes of great natural beauty. Furthermore we should not forget that Teide is the highest mountain of Spain with 3.718 meters.

4. Rural tourism. Although when we think of the Canaries, in most cases, we think of beach and sun, rural tourism has greatly grown with over 650 accommodations registered. The last data shows that the occupation rate in the archipelago is four times higher than the national average.

5. Landscapes. The landscape and natural wealth of the Canarian community include the crystal clear

waters of the Atlantic Ocean, the fine sand of paradise like beaches or the volcanic landscapes.

6. Processions. In the Canaries, we have the opportunity to enjoy processions that take over a multitude of Spanish towns during Holly Week. The brotherhoods go round the streets for religious and cultural events such as those in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria or San Cristóbal de la Laguna, amongst others. Those processions reply on the support of the mass audience, including many tourists.

7. Hotel infrastructure. Most of the islands have a wide choice of hotels with all kinds of services. Camp sites, rural accommodation, hotel complexes, etc. A wide variety that is adapted to all purses and requirements.

8. Island of los Lobos. In Fuerteventura we have the option to visit the small island of Los Lobos. This diving paradise is a recommended destination to discover. Situated 5 kilometres from Corralejo, it is accessible by boat to explore what used to be the home of thousands of Monk seals.

9. Nautical sports. The sea and nautical sports can be enjoyed on the islands all year round. Sailing, diving, sport’s fishing, windsurfing, … An offer with options for all tastes that provides enjoyment of the warm water, the wind, the natural beauty and optimal sea conditions.

10. Family tourism. The islands offer a wide range of ideal destinations for family vacations. Theme parks to discover exotic animals or enjoy attractions, boat excursions, nautical sports, recommended establishments, natural parks, etc. A safe bet for vacations with children that the whole family will enjoy.

Gründe, die Kanaren in den Osterferien zu besuchen FMHOY - Fuerteventura Die glücklichen Inseln haben das Privileg, in den Osterferien zu den bevorzugten Urlaubszielen zu gehören. Aus welchen Gründen setzen die Touristen auf die Kanaren? Dies sind einige der Beweggründe, die diese Entscheidung rechtfertigen …

1. Die Strände. Der Frühling hat gerade angefangen, und an vielen Orten ist das Wetter ist immer noch unsicher. Auf den Kanaren ist dagegen gutes Wetter und auf Inseln wie Teneriffa, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote und Fuerteventura kann man einen großen Teil des Jahres die Strände genießen.

2. Das Klima. Das warme, trockene und sichere Wetter der kanarischen Inseln ist bei der Urlaubsplanung ein wichtiger Grund. Das Klima ermöglicht es, das ganze Jahr über in die Sonne zu gehen und jede Art von Sport zu betreiben. Auf den glücklichen Inseln dauert der Frühling 12 Monate und die Temperaturen schwanken zwischen 18 und 24º C. 3. Nationalpark von Teide. Er befindet sich im Zentrum von Teneriffa und ist der Nationalpark, der während des Jahres am meisten besucht wird. Außerdem ist er 1954 von der Unesco zum Weltnaturerbe erklärt worden. Dort befindet sich der dritthöchste Vulkan der Welt, und die natürliche Schönheit der Vulkanlandschaft ist beeindruckend. Wir dürfen außerdem nicht vergessen, dass der Teide mit einer Höhe von 3.718 Metern der höchste Berg Spaniens ist.

4. Ländlicher Tourismus. Obwohl man fast immer an Strände denkt, wenn man von den Kanaren spricht, gibt

es für den ländlichen Tourismus ein sehr konsolidiertes Angebot mit mehr als 650 Unterkünften. Aus den neusten Angaben geht hervor, dass die Belegung in dem Archipel vier Mal so hoch ist wie der nationale Durchschnitt.

5. Landschaft. Die landschaftliche und natürliche Vielfalt der Kanaren ermöglicht es, das glasklare Wasser des atlantischen Ozeans, den feinen Sand der paradiesischen Strände und die Vulkanlandschaften zu genießen.

6. Prozessionen. Auch auf den Kanaren kann man die Prozessionen sehen, die in der Osterwoche in unzähligen spanischen Städten stattfinden. Die Bruderschaften füllen die Straßen, denn sie spielen bei diesen religiösen Darbietungen in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canarias, San Cristóbal de la Laguna u.a. die Hauptrolle. Zu den Prozessionen kommen zahlreiche Zuschauern, von denen viele Touristen sind.

7. Hotelinfrastruktur. Die meisten der Inseln verfügen über ein großes Hotelangebot mit allen möglichen Leistungen. Es gibt Campingplätze, ländliche Unterkünfte und Hotelanlagen,… ein weitgefächertes Angebot für alle Geldbeutel und für die verschiedenen Bedürfnisse der Besucher.

8. Insel Lobos. Auf Fuerteventura hat man die Möglichkeit, das kleine Eiland Lobos zu besuchen.

Dieses Tauchparadies ist ein empfehlenswertes Reiseziel, das man entdecken kann. Es liegt 5 Kilometer von Corralejo entfernt. Man kann mit dem Boot dorthin fahren und ein Inselchen erforschen, auf dem früher tausende von Mönchsrobben lebten.

9. Wassersport. Auf den Inseln kann man das Meer genießen und das ganze Jahr über Wassersport betreiben: Segeln, Tauchen, Sportfischerei, Windsurfen. Es gibt Angebote für jeden Geschmack, die es ermöglichen, das warme Wasser, den Wind, die natürliche Schönheit und die hervorragenden Bedingungen des Meeres zu nutzen.

10. Familientourismus. Auf den Inseln gibt es viele Orte, die geeignet sind, sie mit der ganzen Familie zu besuchen. Themenparks, in denen man exotische Tiere kennenlernen und sich in Freizeit-Anlagen vergnügen kann, Bootsfahrten, Wassersport, empfohlene Niederlassungen, Naturparks… Damit setzt man auf einen Urlaub mit Kindern, der den Großen und den Kleinen Spaß macht!

La ocupación rondará el 90% durante la Semana Santa FMHOY - Fuerteventura En los últimos años, España atraviesa una coyuntura de profunda crisis económica. Sin embargo, el turismo sigue siendo uno de los pilares fundamentales de la economía en las Islas Canarias. Esta Semana Santa, tal como indican las previsiones anunciadas por la Federación Española de Asociaciones de Agencias de Viaje (Feaav), Canarias rondará el 90% de ocupación media.

El presidente de Feaav, Rafael Gallego, ha señalado que estos porcentajes se cumplirán “si no sucede nada extraño, como, por ejemplo, una huelga”. Por otra parte, y aunque en vacaciones de Semana Santa la mayoría de los turistas provienen del mercado regional, este año “hay muy buenas perspectivas” tanto del mercado nacional como del internacional.

Y es que, según señalan los diversos estudios, los turistas europeos apuestan esta Semana Santa por España, pero no por sus actos litúrgicos, si no por el turismo de sol y playa.

Vender el archipiélago Respecto a las Canarias, Rafael Gallego destaca la importancia de vender el archipiélago no como un solo lugar, si no como múltiples destinos. En este sentido, una persona no puede visitar una isla y sentir que ya conoce las Islas Canarias, pues hay que hacer valer la singularidad de cada una de ellas. “Hay que explicarle que son siete islas, distintas completamente y conseguir que venga siete veces”.

Así, desde la Feaav apuntan que las islas no se quitan turistas entre sí, si no que pueden perderlos frente a otro tipo de destinos como, por ejemplo. Túnez o Turquía.

Los primero datos objetivos, la ocupación hotelera del mes de enero, demostraron la buena salud del turismo en las Islas Canarias, Con una ocupación del 71,3%, el archipiélago lideró la ocupación hotelera española con un total de 5.016.667 pernoctaciones. Estas cifras se traducen en 620.752 turistas, de los que 501.615 eran de fuera de España.

Gran Canaria fue el principal destino nacional, con un grado de ocupación del 77,98%. Por detrás, Tenerife y La Gomera, con un 77,18 % y un 75, 4 &, respectivamente. En cuarto lugar aparece la isla de Fuerteventura, que tuvo un 61,98 % de sus plazas hoteleras ocupadas.

Tenerife, destino deseado Según el portal www.skyscanner.es, Tenerife se ha convertido es el lugar más buscado por los europeos para pasar la Semana Santa. Por detrás aparecen destinos como Málaga y Alicante, pero, curiosamente, ninguna de las fiestas que están catalogadas como Fiesta de Interés Turístico Internacional. De este modo, se quedan fuera del ranking lugares como, por ejemplo, Cuenca, Valladolid, Zamora o Murcia, todos Canarias, sin embargo, ocupa buena parte del top ten. Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria y Fuerteventura se encuentran entre los 10 lugares más buscados a nivel europeo (en los puestos 1, 7, 8 y 9, respectivamente). Bazas como el buen clima, las playas y el mar convierten estas islas en un lugar idóneo para pasar unos días de la recién estrenada primavera.

Die kanarischen Inseln werden in den nächsten Osterferien zu den bevorzugten Reisezielen gehören, was an ihren wunderbaren Landschaften, ihren Stränden und ihrem guten Wetter liegt

Seit einigen Jahren gibt es in Spanien eine schwere Wirtschaftskrise. Der Tourismus ist einer der wichtigtsten Pfeiler der Wirtschaft der kanarischen Inseln. Aus den Prognosen der spanischen Föderation der Verbände der Reisebüros (Feaav) geht hervor, dass die durchschnittliche Belegung in der Osterwoche auf den Kanaren 90 % betragen wird.

Der Vorsitzende von Feaav, Rafael Gallego, betonte, dass dieser Prozentsatz erfüllt wird, „wenn nichts unerwartetes passiert, wie zum Beispiel ein Streik.”

Obwohl in der Osterwoche die Mehrzahl der Touristen von dem regionalen Markt kommt, sind dieses Jahr die Aussichten sowohl für den nationalen als auch für den internationalen Markt „sehr gut“.

Aus verschiedenen Untersuchungen geht hervor, dass die europäischen Touristen in diesen Osterferien auf Spanien setzen; allerdings nicht wegen den religiösen Veranstaltungen, sondern weil sie im Urlaub Strand und Sonne wollen.

Den Archipel verkaufen Rafael Gallego betont, dass es wichtig ist, die Kanaren nicht als einen Urlaubsort zu verkaufen, sondern als einen Archipel mit vielen Urlaubsorten. Das heißt, dass jemand, der nur eine Insel besucht hat, nicht das Gefühl haben kann, die kanarischen Inseln zu kennen. Trümpfe wie das gute Wetter, die Strände und das Meer machen diese Inseln zu idealen Orten, um einige Tage dieses Frühlings, der gerade begonnen hat, zu verbringen.

Occupation rates will reach 90% during Holly Week FMHOY - Fuerteventura Over the past few years, Spain has gone through a deep financial crisis. However, tourism remains the fundamental pillar of the economy in the Canary Islands. This coming Holly Week, according to forecasts from the Spanish Federation of Travel Agents Associations (Feaav), the Canaries will reach an average of 90% occupancy.

The president of Feaav, Rafael Gallego indicated that those percentages will become reality “providing that nothing out of the ordinary happens such as a strike for example”. On the other hand and despite the fact that during Holly Week most tourists come from the regional market, “there are good perspectives” this year for both the national and the international market.

According to various studies, European tourists have decided to spend Holly Week in Spain, not for liturgical reasons but for the sun and beach tourism.

Selling the archipelago As for the Canary Islands, Rafael Gallego points out the importance of selling the archipelago not just as one place, but as a multiple destination. This way, someone cannot come to one island and feel that they already know the Canary Islands, we must insist on the peculiarity of each island. “We must explain that there are seven islands, completely different from one another and get them to come back seven times”.

Therefore, the Feaav declares that the islands don’t take tourists away from each other, but on the contrary can loose them for other destinations such as Tunisia or Turkey.

Tenerife, a desired destination According to the www.skyscanner.es website, Tenerife has become one of the most sought after destination by Europeans for Holly Week. 2012 started very positively for the Canarian tourism sector. The first objective data, the hotel occupancy level in January, showed the good health of tourism in the Canary Islands. With a 71,3% occupation rate, the archipelago was the leader of the hotel occupation in Spain with a total of 5.016.667 overnight stays. This figure represents 620.752 tourists of which 501.615 came from outside of Spain.

“El triatlón Challenge ofrece a la Isla una proyección internacional” FMHOY - Fuerteventura El día 14 de este mes de abril se realizará, por segundo año, el triatlón Challenge en Fuerteventura, organizado por Playitas Resort. Hemos querido que sea el director de este resort, Stephan Meyvisch, quien nos informe más ampliamente sobre este acontecimiento, que coloca a Fuerteventura con una proyección internacional. ¿Qué nos puede contar sobre esta prueba?

Playitas Resort, se ha especializado en vacaciones activas y en temporada de invierno nos concentramos más en deportistas que vienen a realizar sus entrenamientos en nuestro Resort. De aquí nace la necesidad de tener un calendario de actividades profesionales y así surge traer la prueba Challenge, que es una marca de triatlón, que consiste en nadar 1.9 Km., continuar 90 Km. en bicicleta y terminar corriendo 21 Km. De esta competición, sólo se realizan 12 pruebas en todo el mundo y esta es la única para Canarias.

Existen otras marcas de pruebas de este tipo, más extremas y también menos que la que nosotros promocionamos.

Aunque Challenge es algo menos conocido que Ironman, cuenta sin embargo con atletas de élite tales como el campeón de casa, al que nosotros esponsorizamos, Rasmus Henning, que tiene un palmarés impresionante; el atleta belga Marino Vanhoenacker que es un diez mundial y que acaba de ganar la prue-

ba de Nueva Zelanda o el inglés Stephen Bayliss. Son tres de los más grandes profesionales y tenemos la suerte de contar con ellos este año. ¿Porqué se celebra en abril?

Es una fecha muy adecuada para los atletas de triatlón, ya que les permite valorar si están en forma para la temporada que va a continuar.

¿Es un aprueba mixta, igual de intensa para hombre que para mujeres?

Sí es idéntica, pero se proclama un ganador masculino y otro femenino que están en distintas categorías. ¿Las inscripciones para participar están aún abiertas?

Aunque ya tenemos 200 participantes, esperamos llegar hasta 230 por lo que aún quedan algunas plazas y pueden contactar con nosotros aquí .También hemos creado una página web en la que pueden consultar el reglamento y todo tipo de información, precios, etc. Otra opción es preparase y estar en forma para participar el próximo año.

Para personas menos deportistas, el día 11 de abril, tenemos una prueba menor, con pequeños recorridos en las tres modalidades, que puede resultar muy apetecible y servir de aliciente para futuro. ¡Algo así como una degustación deportiva! Además nosotros ampliamos este evento, dándole un entorno festivo con otras actividades, tales como animación, chiringuitos con diversidad de cosas, una gran oferta gastronómica y el día anterior haremos una prueba para niños en diferentes categorías por edad. Deseamos invitar a estas actividades a todos los que deseen estar, sin necesidad de ser residentes en el hotel.

Esta prueba es importante no solo para el hotel, también lo es para Fuerteventura, puesto que da a la Isla una proyección internacional.

“The Triathlon Challenge gives the Island International Scope” FMHOY - Fuerteventura On 14th April, the Fuerteventura Triathlon Challenge, organised by the Playitas Resort, will take place.

We wanted to have the resort director, Stephan Meyvisch, give us more information about this event that gives Fuerteventura International Scope.

What can you tell us about this challenge?

Playitas Resort is a specialist in active holidays and in winter we concentrate more on athletes who come to train on our Resort. This is where the necessity to have a professional activities’ calendar came from, as well as the Challenge contest, which is a triathlon that consists of 1,9 km swimming, followed by 90 km cycling and finishing with a 21 km run.

There are only 12 such competitions in the world and this is the only one in the Canaries. There are other types of challenges, more or less extremes than the one we are promoting.

Although Challenge is less known than Ironman, it still includes elite athletes such as our in-house champion who we sponsor, Rasmus Henning, who has an impressive track record; the Belgium athlete Marino Vanhoenacker who is tenth on the world ranking and has just won the New Zealand event or the Englishman Stephan Bayliss. Those are three of the greatest professionals and we are lucky to have them amongst us this year.

Why does it take place in April?

It is a good date for triathlon athletes as it allows

them to test their fitness level before the up and coming season.

Is this a mixed contest, as intense for men and for women?

Yes, it is identical, but there is a male winner and a female winner in separate categories.

Are registrations still open?

Although we already have 200 participants, we hope to be able to take 230, which means that there are still a few places available and people interested can contact us here. We have also created a webpage that contains all kinds of information, prices, etc.

The other option is to prepare and be ready to participate next year.

For people who are not quite as athletic, on 11th April, we have an easier contest with small courses in all three modalities which can be quite fun and an incentive for later. This is kind of a sports’ tasting!

We also expand on the event and provide a festive environment with other activities, such as animations, varied refreshment stalls, a large gastronomy offer and on the day before we will organise a challenge for children with various ages’ categories.

Everyone is invited for those activities, even hotel non-residents.

This contest is important for the hotel and also for Fuerteventura as it gives the Island International scope.

Am 14. April wird der Dreikampf Challenge Fuerteventura, der vom Playitas Resort organisiert wird, im zweiten Jahr stattfinden. Wir wollten uns von dem Direktor dieser Hotelanlage, Stephan Meyvisch, über die Erweiterung dieses Ereignisses informieren lassen, das Fuerteventura internationale Projektion bietet.

Was können Sie uns über diesen Wettkampf erzählen?

Der Playitas Resort hat sich auf Aktivurlaub spezialisiert. In der Wintersaison konzentrieren wir uns mehr auf Sportler, die hierher kommen, um in unserem Resort zu trainieren. Daher entstand die Notwendigkeit, einen Kalender der professionellen Aktivitäten zu haben. So entstand die Idee, den Challenge hierher zubringen, das ist eine Austragung des Dreikampfes, die darin besteht, 1.9 km zu schwimmen, 90 mit dem Rad zurück zulegen und zum Schluss noch 21 Km zu laufen.

Im Rahmen dieser Meisterschaft werden auf der ganzen Welt nur 12 Wettkämpfe durchgeführt, und dies ist der einzige, der auf den Kanaren stattfindet.

Es gibt andere Austragungen für derartige Wettkämpfe, von denen einige härter und andere weniger hart als unserer sind.

Obwohl der Challenge nicht so bekannt ist wie der Ironman, nehmen Elite-Athleten darn teil. Zu diesen gehört der von uns gesponserte Meister des Hauses,

Rasmus Henning, der beeindruckend oft gewonnen hat, der belgische Athlet Marino Vanhoenacker, der der Zehntbeste der Welt ist und gerade den Wettkampf in Neuseeland gewonnen hat, und der Engländer Stephen Bayliss. Diese drei Sportler gehören zu den wichtigsten Profis, und wir haben das Glück, dass sie dieses Jahr bei uns sein werden.

Warum findet dieser Wettkampf im April statt?

Es ist ein geeignetes Datum für die Dreikämpfer.

Zu diesem Zeitpunkt können sie einschätzen, ob sie für die beginnende Saison in Form sind.

Ist es ein gemischter Wettkampf, an dem Männer und Frauen teilnehmen können?

Läuft die Anmeldefrist noch?

Wir haben zwar schon 200 Teilnehmer, aber wir hoffen, dass es 230 werden; das heißt, es gibt noch einige Plätze. Interessierte können sich mit uns in Verbindung setzen. Wir haben auch eine Website, auf denen man das Reglement sowie Informationen jeder Art, Preise usw. findet. Wer nicht dieses Jahr teilnehmen kann, kann auch schon für das nächste Jahr trainieren.

Für weniger professionelle Sportler bieten wir am 11. April einen weniger harten Wettkampf, bei dem in den drei Modalitäten kurze Strecken zurück gelegt werden müssen. Das kann Spaß machen und auch ein Anreiz für die Zukunft sein. So etwas wie eine sportliche „Probe”. Außerdem machen wir aus diesem Event ein Fest mit Vorführungen, Imbissständen und einem großen gastronomischen Angebot. Am Tag davor gibt es einen Wettkampf für Kinder mit verschiedenen altersbedingten Kategorien. Wir möchten alle Interessierten zu diesen Aktivitäten einladen, egal ob sie in unserem Hotel wohnen oder nicht.

Dieser Wettkampf ist nicht nur für unser Hotel wichtig, sondern auch für Fuerteventura, da die Insel dadurch ihre internationale Projektion verbessert.

Gran éxito del I Torneo de Futbol Playa de prebenjamines FMHOY - Fuerteventura La mañana del domingo día 11 de marzo llegó cargada de buen fútbol a cargo de los más de 200 jugadores de la categoría pre benjamín, que con su buen hacer, deportividad, y dominio sobre el terreno de juego, dejaron muy claro que ni el calor que les acompaño durante toda la jornada, ni su corta edad, suponen un impedimento para ofrecer un gran espectáculo deportivo.

Fueron cuatro horas de fútbol en las que compartieron juego un total de 17 equipos participantes: - CD EURO DE LAJARES - CD EUROPEAN FOOTBALL UNIVERSITY - CD FABELO - CD HENEQUEN FUERTEVENTURA FC - CD HERBANIA - CD ORIENTACIÓN MARÍTIMA - CD UNIÓN PUERTO - EM ANTIGUA - EM LA LAJITA Tras el buen juego en general, se hizo con el triunfo, en la categoría de prebenjamín A, el CD Orientación Marítima, quedando en segundo y tercer lugar respectivamente, la EM de Antigua y el CD Herbania; mientras que en la categoría de prebenjamín B, el primer puesto fue para la EM de La Lajita, el segundo para la EM de Antigua, y el tercero para el CD Unión Marítima.

The morning of Sunday 11th March brought in good football thanks to over 200 players of the under 10’s category, who with their ability, sportsmanship, and control on the pitch, made it very clear that neither the heat that stayed on all day long, nor their young age, were going to stop them from providing a great sports’ event.

Das I. Strandfußballturniere der Kindermannschaften war ein großer Erfolg FMHOY - Fuerteventura Am Sonntag den 11. März gab es morgens guten Fußball, für den die mehr als 200 Spieler der Kategorie „Prebenjamín“(Kategorie für die jüngsten Spieler) verantwortlich waren. Mit ihrem Können, ihrem Sportsgeist und ihrer Fähigkeit auf dem Spielgelände zeigten sie, dass weder die Hitze noch ihr junges Alter sie daran hinderten, eine hervorragende sportliche Darbietung zu liefern.

-EM ANTIGUA -EM LA LAJITA Nach einem guten Spiel triumphierte in der Kategorie „Prebenjamín“ A der CD Orientación Marítima, auf den zweiten und auf den dritten Platz kamen der la EM aus Antigua und der CD Herbania. In der Kategorie „Prebenjamín“ B gewann der EM aus La Lajita, auf den zweiten Platz kam der EM aus Antigua und auf den dritten Platz der CD Unión Marítima.

Es gab Trophäen und Medaillen für alle. Bei der Preisverleihung waren der Beauftragte für Sport des Cabildo, Antonio Mesa, die Bürgermeisterin von Antigua, Genara Ruiz, die Beauftragte für Sport von Antigua, Idaira Domínguez und die Beauftragte für Tourismus der Gemeinde von Antigua, Deborah Edgington, anwesend.

La autoestima

CAROLINA INÉS SIMÓN VALENCIA - Licenciada en Psicología / Psychologin / Licensed in psychology La autoestima es un aspecto crucial de toda persona puesto que define gran parte de su personalidad, cómo es y la forma como se comporta y actúa ante los demás.

Dada la importancia que tiene la autoestima en toda persona, comparto con ustedes algunos consejos generales que puedan servirles para mejorar su autoestima, para así sentirse mejor consigo mismo, logrando así ser más feliz.

Les animo a realizar un ejercicio de auto reflexión sobre los puntos a tratar a continuación: •¿Cómo MEJORAR mí autoestima? Hay que tener claro que el que define mi autoestima debo ser YO. Los demás no pueden decidir sobre mí, cuán importante puedo ser o cuán lejos puedo llegar. Yo debo de trazar mis metas, mis proyectos e ideales y no debo delimitarlos en base a lo que los demás crean, piensen o esperen de mí.

•¿Cómo AUMENTAR mí autoestima? Debo tener una ACTITUD POSITIVA. Pensar en negativo solo llevará a que todo se vea peor de lo que realmente es.

En las malas situaciones, es preferible tomarse unos minutos y buscarle el lado positivo a lo que ocurre antes que caer en la desesperación y verlo todo negro.

•¿Cómo soy YO? Para mejorar mi autoestima es FUNDAMENTAL EVITAR COMPARME obsesivamente con los DEMÁS. La autoestima no debe estar definida por lo que yo haya logrado o vaya a lograr en comparación con lo que han logrado los demás. Cada persona es única y por lo tanto debo evitar las comparaciones constantes. Quizás otras personas hacen algunas cosas mejor que yo, sin embargo yo también tengo mis virtudes y realizo algunas actividades mejor que los demás.

•¿Qué METAS he de fijarme en la vida? Para mejorar mi autoestima debo evitar el PERFECCIONISMO. Nadie es perfecto. La autoestima nunca mejorará si tiendo a ser muy exigente conmigo mismo ya que nunca estaré conforme con lo que logre. Es muy común pensar que una autoestima elevada está relacionada con la perfección, con ser bueno en todos los aspectos de la vida, tener éxito y conseguir muchos logros. Sin embargo, el perfeccionismo suele esconder personas con baja autoestima. Ponerse metas

está bien, pero deben ser metas reales y alcanzables, solo de esa manera se logrará mejorar la autoestima.

•¿Cómo logro un PENSAMIENTO POSITIVO? Debo evitar las generalizaciones. No por el hecho de que me haya salido mal un examen debo pensar que no sirvo para estudiar. Si alguien no me quiere como me gustaría que me quisiera, no debo pensar que nunca nadie me querrá. Aquellas personas que sufren de baja autoestima, a menudo caen en las generalizaciones. Sin embargo, es NECESARIO evitar estas generalizaciones porque muchas veces lo único que hacen es predisponernos negativamente. Si pretendo aumentar mi autoestima, es importante aprender a ver cada situación como un hecho aislado y no pensar que porque algo ha salido mal, todo debe salir mal.

•ACEPTACIÓN. Para mejorar mi autoestima debo aceptarme como soy. Es importante recordar que nadie es perfecto y que debo aceptarme y quererme como soy, ya que cada uno es ESPECIAL E IRREPETIBLE.

Die Selbstachtung ist ein wesentlicher Aspekt jeder Person, der viel damit zu tun hat, wie man ist und wie man sich seinen Mitmenschen gegenüber verhält.

Da die Selbstachtung für alle Menschen sehr wichtig ist, gebe ich Ihnen einige allgemeine Ratschläge, die Ihnen helfen können, Ihre Selbstachtung zu verbessern, wodurch Sie sich wohler fühlen und glücklicher sein werden.

Ich möchte Sie anregen, eine Übung der Selbstreflexion über die Themen zu machen, die ich in Folge erörtern werde: •Wie kann ich meine Selbstachtung VERBESSERN? Mir muss bewusst sein, dass ICH diejenige bin, die meine Selbstachtung definiert. Die anderen können nicht für mich entscheiden, egal wie wichtig es ist und wie viel man damit erreichen kann.

Ich muss meine Ziele, Projekte und Ideale selbst bestimmen und darf mich nicht davon einschränken lassen, was die andern denken oder von mir erwarten.

•Wie kann ich meine Selbstachtung STEIGERN? Ich muss eine POSITIVE EINSTELLUNG haben.

Negatives Denken führt dazu, dass einem alles schlechter vorkommt, als es wirklich ist. In negativen Situationen ist es besser nicht zu verzweifeln und schwarz zu sehen, sondern sich einige Minuten zu

nehmen und zu versuchen, etwas Positives an der Lage zu sehen.

•Wie bin ICH? Um meine Selbstachtung zu verbessern, ist es WESENTLICH, MICH NICHT obsessiv mit den ANDEREN zu vergleichen. Die Selbstachtung darf nicht davon definiert werden, was ich im Vergleich zu den anderen erreicht habe oder erreichen werde. Jeder Mensch ist einzigartig, deshalb sollte ich ständige Vergleiche vermeiden.

Möglicherweise gibt es Leute, die einige Dinge besser machen als ich; ich habe jedoch auch meine Stärken und mache einige Dinge besser als die andern.

•Welche ZIELE soll ich mir in meinem Leben setzen? Wenn ich meine Selbstachtung verbessern will, muss ich den PERFEKTIONSMUS vermeiden.

Niemand ist perfekt Die Selbstachtung wird nie verbessert, wenn ich zu viel von mir erwarte, weil ich dann nie mit dem zufrieden sein werde, was ich erreiche. Es ist üblich zu denken, dass eine hohe Selbstachtung mit Perfektion verbunden ist, damit, dass man in allen Bereichen des Lebens gut ist, Erfolg hat und viel erreicht. Hinter dem Perfektionismus verstecken sich jedoch oft Menschen mit einer geringen Selbstachtung. Es ist gut, sich Ziele zu setzen, aber es müssen wirkliche und erreichbare

Ziele sein. Nur auf diese Weise kann man es schaffen, die Selbstachtung zu verbessern.

•Wie schaffe ich es, POSITIV ZU DENKEN? Ich muss Verallgemeinerungen vermeiden. Wenn ich eine Prüfung schlecht mache, darf ich deshalb nicht denken, dass ich nicht für das Studium geeignet bin. Wenn jemand mich nicht so liebt, wie ich von ihm geliebt werden möchte, darf ich nicht denken, dass niemand jemals lieben wird. Die Menschen, die eine geringe Selbstachtung haben, neigen oft zu Verallgemeinerungen. Es ist jedoch NOTWENDIG, diese Verallgemeinerungen zu vermeiden, denn diese bringen uns oft nur dazu, negativ zu denken. Wenn ich meine Selbstachtung steigern möchte, ist es wichtig zu lernen, jede Situation als etwas anderes zu betrachten und nicht zu denken, dass man nichts schaffen wird, nur weil man bei etwas keinen Erfolg hatte.

•ANNAHME. Um meine Selbstachtung zu verbessern, muss ich mich so akzeptieren, wie ich bin. Es ist wichtig, daran zu erinnern, dass niemand perfekt ist und dass ich mich akzeptieren und lieben muss, wie ich bin, weil jeder ein BESONDERES UND EINZIGARTIGES Wesen ist.

Self-esteem is a crucial aspect of every person given that it defines a great part of the personality, such as the way we behave and act towards others. Because of the importance of self-esteem, I am going to share general advices with you that can help improve your self-esteem, feel better within yourself, and therefore become happier.

I recommend a self-reflexion exercise on the following points: •How can I IMPROVE my self-esteem? I must realise that I am the one defining my own self-esteem.

The others cannot decide for me, how important I can

be or how far I can get. I must set my own goals, my projects and dreams and I must not define them according to what others believe, think or expect of me.

•How can I INCREASE my self-esteem? I must keep a POSITIVE ATTITUDE. Thinking in negative things will only make situations look worse than they actually are. In bad situations, it is better to take a few minutes and look for a positive side before falling into desperation and seeing everything as darkness.

•How am I? To increase my self-esteem it is FUNDAMENTAL TO AVOID COMPARING myself obsessively with OTHERS. Self-esteem is not defined by what I have done or will do in comparison with what others have done. Each person is unique and therefore I must avoid constant comparisons. Maybe some people will do some things better than me, however I also have qualities and carry out some activities better than others.

•What GOALS should I aim for in my life? In order to improve my self-esteem I must avoid PERFECTIONISM. No one is perfect. Self-esteem never improves if we are too demanding with ourselves because we will never be happy with what we achieve. It is very common to think that high self-esteem is related with perfection, with been good at everything in life,

being successful and achieving many goals. However, perfectionism tends to hide in people with low self-esteem. Aiming at goals is good, but they must be real goals and achievable, this is the only way to improve self-esteem.

•How do I achieve POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE? I must avoid generalizations. It is not because I failed at an exam that I should think that I am no good at studying. If someone doesn’t like me as I would have hoped, I mustn’t think that no one will ever like me.

Some people who suffer from low self-esteem tend to generalise. However, is it NECESSARY to avoid those generalizations because often they only influence us negatively. If I aim to increase my self-esteem, it is important to learn to see each situation as an isolated fact and not think that if something went wrong, everything will turn out wrong.

•ACCEPTANCE. In order to improve my self-esteem I must accept myself as I am. It is important to remember that no one is perfect and that I must accept myself and love myself for who I am, because we are all SPECIAL AND UNIQUE.

Gran Premio de España de Moto GP NIKO MOTORS - Fuerteventura Este evento, que se celebrará durante los días 27, 28 y 29 de abril, en el Circuito de Jerez, contará con más de 50 pilotos del certamen nacional que se han dado cita durante el mes de marzo en las instalaciones jerezanas para llevar a cabo los entrenamientos de pretemporada que tienen como objetivo principal la puesta a punto de las motocicletas de cara al campeonato.

Algunos de los equipos punteros de este certamen, caso de Laglisse, Monlau, Motorrad ó Promoracing, han estado presentes en estos entrenamientos donde han podido disfrutar de unas más que agradables temperaturas que han facilitado el trabajo tanto de pilotos como de mecánicos y técnicos de neumáticos a la hora de poner a punto y desarrollar las motocicletas. Entre los pilotos destacados del nacional en sus tres categorías (Moto3-Moto2 y Stock-Extreme) presentes en estos test están: Alex Márquez, subcampeón el pasado año en la categoría de 125cc y hermano de Marc Márquez, el ex mundialista Xavier Fores, Román Ramos, Daniel Sáez, Josep Rodríguez, Kyle Smith, Santiago Barragán, etc.. ó nuevas incorporaciones del campeonato caso de la fémina María Herrera que con el equipo Monlau tomará parte en la categoría de Moto3 ó Remy Gardner, hijo del mítico Gayne Gardner que tratará en este certamen español también en la categoría de Moto3, de abrirse paso en el difícil mundo de la competición en circuitos.

This event, which will take place on 27th, 28th and 29th April, at the Jerez Circuit, will include over 50 pilots who attended the preseason test sessions at the Jerez facilities in March for the motorbikes’ set-up before the championship.

Some of the leading teams in this contest such as Laglisse, Monlau, Motorrad or Promoracing, were present during those practise sessions where they enjoyed nice temperatures that made it easier for pilots, mechanics and tire technicians when it came to setting up the motorbikes. Amongst pilots that stood out during those training sessions in all three categories (Moto3-Moto2 and Stock-Extreme) we have: Alex Márquez, runner up last year in the 125cc category and the brother of Marc Márquez, the ex-world champion Xavier Fores, Román Ramos, Daniel Sáez, Josep Rodríguez, Kyle Smith, Santiago Barragán, etc… or new additions to the championship such as María Herrera with the Monlau team who will be part of the Moto3 category or Remy Gardner, son of the mythical Gayne Gardner who will take part in the Moto3 category of this Spanish contest to make an entrance in this tough world of circuit racing.

Der große GP Motorrad-Preis Spaniens An diesem Event, das am 27., 28. und 29. April auf der Rennstrecke von Jerez stattfinden wird, werden mehr als 50 Piloten aus Spanien teilnehmen. Sie haben sich im März in den Anlagen von Jerez getroffen, um gemeinsam das Training der Vorsaison zu absolvieren, und beabsichtigen, die Motorräder für die Meisterschaft herzurichten.

Einige der führenden Mannschaften dieses Wettkampfes wie Laglisse, Monlau, Motorrad und Promoracing waren bei diesem Training anwesend. Sie konnten sich über sehr gutes Wetter freuen, was die Arbeit der Piloten, der Mechaniker und der Reifen-Techniker erleichterte, als sie die Motorräder in Schuss brachten.

Von den erstklassigen spanischen Piloten der drei

Kategorien (Moto3, Moto2 und Stock-Extreme) werden folgende teilnehmen: Alex Márquez, der Vizemeister des letzten Jahres in der Kategorie 125cc und Bruder von Marc Márquez, der ehemalige Weltmeisterschaftsteilnehmer Xavier Fores, Román Ramos, Daniel Sáez, Josep Rodríguez, Kyle Smith, Santiago Barragán usw.

Zu dieser Meisterschaft werden auch neue Teilnehmer kommen. Zu diesen gehören die Teilnehmerin María Herrera, die mit der Mannschaft Monlau in der Kategorie Moto3 antreten wird sowie Remy Gardner, der Sohn des legendären Gayne Gardner, der an dieser spanischen Meisterschaft in der Kategorie Moto3 teilnehmen wird, um in der komplizierten Welt der Rennen einen Platz zu finden.

“El principal objetivo es el fomento del desarrollo rural en la Isla” FMHOY - Fuerteventura

Estamos con un joven ejecutivo, activo, amable y muy accesible, que se graduó en Ciencias del Mar, doctorándose después en el Instituto de Investigación y Ciencia de Puerto del Rosario (INIPRO), y al que curiosamente la corriente laboral le ha llevado a dedicarse a la tierra.

Gracias a su esfuerzo, apoyo y cercanía, son muchas las personas que han conseguido ver sus proyectos materializados, gracias a la subvención de la Comunidad Europea para el desarrollo rural.

Cristóbal, con su habitual sonrisa y paciencia, ha ido facilitando los trámites necesarios y habitualmente complejos, que permitieran convertir en realidad la tan necesitada ayuda de muchos pequeños empresarios o necesarios proyectos de mejoras.

Ha estado al frente del proyecto G.D.R. Maxorata (Gestión del Desarrollo Rural) desde septiembre de 2008 hasta la actualidad y queremos que sea él quien nos explique cuál ha sido su labor y cuál es la finalidad de este Proyecto. ¿Qué es G.D.R. Maxorata?

Es un grupo de desarrollo rural, Asociación para la Gestión del Desarrollo Rural Maxorata Verde, un nombre bastante largo por cierto. Nace por una convocatoria que hace el Gobierno de Canarias para gestionar los fondos agrícolas de desarrollo rural que incluye la creación de esta asociación sin ánimo de lucro y que existe en todas las islas del archipiélago, denominados Grupos de Acción Local.

Estos fondos provienen del Programa de Desarrollo Rural de Canarias periodo 2007- 2013, en el Eje Cuarto. Este es el que manejamos nosotros, que es la iniciativa Leader. Cuenta con unos 18 millones de euros para toda Canarias, que si lo sumamos a la aportación pública nos vamos a más del doble. Y para Fuerteventura vienen 1,860.000 €. de ayuda pública que hay que sumar a la aportación privada de cada proyecto.

Nuestra línea de subvenciones abarca desde micro empresas agrícolas o ganaderas, turismo rural, innovadores, maquinaria agrícola y tecnología, empresas públicas, etc., muy diversificado en general aunque nuestro principal objetivo es el fomento del desarrollo rural en la Isla. ¿Esa cifra de 1.860.000 €, es la cifra total para los proyectos de todos los años comprendidos en ese periodo, o bien es para cada año?

Cuando se firmó el convenio, se hizo por ese total, repartido a lo largo de varios años. La primera convocatoria se saco en marzo de 2009 y luego hicimos otras dos en el 2010. En total hemos dado unas 45 subvenciones por un total de 600.000 €, que unido a la aportación privada que conlleva cada proyecto se ha dinamizado la inversión en la economía rural en 1.442.000 € ¿Por lo que parece esta inversión sólo ha sido durante los años 2008 y 2009?

Sí, no hemos podido gestionar las anualidades del 2010 y 2011 debido al incumplimiento presupues-

tario de la Comunidad Autónoma. Nosotros dependemos de la Consejería de Agricultura, que es quien no ha cumplido con el convenio. Si no recibimos los recursos no tenemos con que gestionar. Lo que sí es cierto es que en estos dos años se han ido ejecutando los 45 expedientes, no hemos estado sin hacer nada.

En total se ha ejecutado más del 95% de la partida recibida en nuestro departamento.

Pero también se han especializado en cursos de formación ¿verdad?

Sí cuando comenzamos a principios del 2008, nos dimos cuenta de que había grandes dificultades para la formación necesaria en distintas especialidades de agricultura, ganadería y parques y jardines entre otros. Esto obligaba a tener que desplazarse a otras islas para conseguir la acreditación oficial correspondiente, por lo que nosotros nos acreditamos como centro docente ante el Gobierno de Canarias, lo que nos permitió dar diferentes cursos con su acreditación correspondiente. ¿Qué tipo de cursos imparten?

Desde fitosanitario básico a cualificado, podas de frutales, trabajos específicos con palmeras, diversificación de productos lácteos, gestión de la empresa agraria etc.

Son cursos que tienen su homologación para la obtención de la cualificación agraria profesional. El número de horas de formación exigido para estas titulaciones, obligaban a las personas a salir de la isla al no haber aquí los cursos adecuados.

Paralelamente al Eje Cuatro de Leader, hemos hecho también proyectos de cooperación como ha sido el de ”la criada” (trufa local) con la universidad de Murcia y también recuperación de los palmerales de la Isla, conjuntamente con la cuidad de Elche.

También hemos presentado el proyecto, conjuntamente con la Palma, del Banco de la Sabiduría. ¿Qué es el Banco de la Sabiduría?

Este Banco no tiene que ver con el dinero, es el compendio de los conocimientos acumulados, a lo largo de muchas generaciones. Es una página web, donde todos aportamos relatos de nuestros mayores

de forma que se puedan preservar, métodos y experiencias, que pueden ser de utilidad. ¿Es cierto que la crisis ha propiciado un regreso a la vida rural y agraria?

Sí, en cierta medida. Durante épocas pasadas se abandonó la agricultura en la Isla; por suerte la ganadería sí se ha mantenido.

La escasa lluvia ha producido mucha dificultad para el trabajo del agricultor, porque aún teniendo pozos, la escasez de agua hace que baje el nivel freático.

Los grupos Leader, llevan tiempo funcionando ¿verdad?

Sí, desde el año 1996 hasta ahora ha habido cuatro etapas Leader. Pero las gestiones anteriores, Leader 2 y 3 no fueron tan eficientes como se esperaba, y para este último nace G.D.R. Maxorata.

La eficiencia a la que hace referencia pasa por conseguir emplear y mover al máximo los fondos que se reciben. ¿Correcto?

Sí, hemos procurado dar a conocer estas subvenciones y ayudar al máximo en su consecución. El solo hecho de evaluar proyectos y no llevarlos a cabo, no serviría de nada, ni siquiera para mantener este departamento activo, ya que en función del dinero subvencionado nosotros recibimos un 16% para mantener vivo este organismo (gastos, nominas, etc.).

Pero no son muchas las personas que llevan el trabajo de este departamento...

Solo dos, Isabel de administración y yo. Al principio, por las mañanas estábamos en el despacho, pero por las tardes nos dedicábamos a visitar, cooperativas, centros culturales, ayuntamientos, etc., dándoles charlas, conociendo sus necesidades y viendo la forma de poder generar las ayudas adecuadas.

De hecho elaboramos un documento, con más de 300 encuestas tanto a consumidores como a productores, turistas, que es un estudio de productos agroalimentarios de la isla de Fuerteventura. Fue un estudio intenso, averiguando que les gustaba, que se podía mejorar, etc., para poder trabajar también sobre lo que era más demandado.

Ahora solo queda desearles que puedan seguir con esta labor en los próximos años.

De momento estamos en espera, porque estamos subsistiendo gracias al Cabildo que nos ayuda en gestión y apoyo económico. El Gobierno de Canarias tiene que tomar una decisión con nosotros, sería una pena desperdiciar esta ayuda de Europa que es además para todos los países y que debo remarcar que por cada 7,50 € que ponga el Gobierno de Canarias, llegan 92,50 € que pone la Comunidad Europea y el Ministerio de Agricultura. Es un esfuerzo del Gobierno de Canarias, pero hay que valorar y comparar la rentabilidad con cualquier otra ayuda o inversión posible.

No es un problema de supervivencia de este Departamento, es una perdida enorme de inversión y crecimiento para la isla.

La Concejalía de Turismo organizó exhibiciones de lucha canaria en Caleta de Fuste

La Concejalía de Turismo del Ayuntamiento organizó todos los viernes de marzo exhibiciones de lucha canaria en Caleta de Fuste, con la finalidad de que visitantes y turistas conocieran de primera mano el deporte autóctono, contribuyendo a la promoción y difusión de una de las señas de identidad de las Islas.

Las exhibiciones, en las que participaron bregadores del Club de Lucha Unión Antigua, se ofrecieron en el Centro Comercial El Castillo. Posteriormente, se repitieron en la calle peatonal Alcalde Santiago García Urquía y finalmente en el Centro Comercial Los Arcos.

La iniciativa también se llevará a cabo durante este mes de abril en el Centro Comercial Atlántico y en otros puntos de la localidad turística, conjuntamente con actuaciones de grupos folclóricos.

El departamento municipal pretende apoyar la promoción de la lucha canaria como producto turístico, ante el potencial que posee este deporte autóctono, ya que constituye una oferta atractiva, tradicional y moderna al mismo tiempo. Turistas y visitantes podrán conocer en estas exhibiciones la reglamentación básica, además de contemplar las mañas empleadas por bregadores, con explicaciones en varios idiomas.

Das Amt für Tourismus organisierte Darbietungen des kanarischen Kampfes in Caleta de Fuste

Das Amt für Tourismus der Gemeinde organisierte an allen Freitagen im März Darbietungen des kanarischen Kampfes in Caleta de Fuste, um Besuchern und Touristen den einheimischen Sport näher zu bringen und somit eine Sportart zu fördern, die für die Identität der Inseln steht.

Die Darbietungen, an denen Kämpfer des „Club de Lucha Unión Antigua“ teilnahmen, fanden im Einkaufszentrum El Castillo statt. Später wurden sie in der Fußgängerzone Alcalde Santiago García Urquía und im Einkaufszentrum Los Arcos wiederholt. Diese Initiative wird im April auch im Einkaufszentrum Atlántico und in anderen Teilen des Urlaubsortes stattfinden. Gleichzeitig gibt es Aufführungen von Folklore-Gruppen.

Das Departement der Gemeinde möchte den kanarischen Kampf als touristisches Produkt fördern, denn dieser einheimische Sport hat Potential und ist schon jetzt ein reizvolles Angebot, das gleichzeitig traditionell und modern ist. Touristen und Besucher können bei diesen Darbietungen die Spielregeln kennenlernen und die Geschicklichkeit der Kämpfer beobachten. Dazu gibt es Erklärungen in verschiedenen Sprachen.

Observación astronómica en Llanos de Mafasca

The Ayuntamiento’s Tourism Council organised Canarian Wrestling exhibitions every Friday in March in Caleta de Fuste, so that visitors and tourists could experience first hand this native sport, contributing to the promotion and diffusion of the identity marks of the Islands.

La Concejalía de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Antigua, organizó una observación astronómica con telescopio en Llanos de Mafasca. La actividad ‘Contemos las estrellas del cielo de Antigua’ se realizó en colaboración con el proyecto Investigación y Acción sobre Cielo Oscuro (IACO) y se desarrolló el viernes 23 de marzo, tomando como punto de partida el centro cultural de La Corte.

Dentro de las campañas de sensibilización que están llevando a cabo distintas instituciones de la Isla, el Consistorio se unía a la campaña IACO 2012 organizando esta salida de observación y conteo de estrellas, para contribuir en un proyecto científico de mapeo de la calidad del cielo de España. Cada observación se introduciría en la base de datos con el nombre del observador, previa autorización de los participantes.

El objetivo fundamental del proyecto IACO, que se inició en Málaga en 2006, consiste en convencer a la sociedad de que hay que conseguir una ilumi-

Astronomical observations in Llanos de Mafasca

The Culture Council of Antigua’s Ayuntamiento organised an astronomical observation through a telescope in Llanos de Mafasca. The activity called “We count the stars of Antigua’s sky” was organised in collaboration with the Project called Research and Action on Dark Sky (IACO) and took place on 23rd March, with a starting point from the cultural centre of La Corte.

With those awareness campaigns which are taking place in various institutions of the Island, the Council is involved in the IACO 2012 campaign by organising observation and star counting initiatives in order to contribute to a scientific project to map the quality of the Spanish sky. Each observation will be included in a database with the name of the observer, with the prior authorisation of participants.

The fundamental objective of this IACO project, which started in Malaga in 2006, aims at convincing the society that we must achieve an illumination of cities that permits the observation of the universe.

This does not only means energy savings, but also a general improvement of the environment and citizens’ quality of life, as well as for many animal and vegetal species. This is the reason why Antigua’s Ayuntamiento has put in place initiatives of light pollution reduction in the villages of Triquivijate and Casillas de Morales, by introducing anti-glare street lights which are more efficient and less light polluting.

Die Aktivität „Wir zählen die Sterne des Himmels von Antigua“ wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Projekt „Forschung und Aktion über dem dunklen Himmel” (IACO) durchgeführt und fand am Freitag den 23. März im Kulturzentrum von La Corte statt.

Im Rahmen der Sensibilisierungskampagnen, die von verschiedenen Institutionen der Insel durchgeführt werden, beteiligte sich das Konsistorium an der Kampagane IACO 2012, indem es diesen Ausflug organisierte, bei dem die Sterne beobachtet und gezählt wurden. Die Beobachtungen jedes Teilnehmers werden in eine Datenbank aufgenommen, wenn dieser das vorher genehmigt.

Das Hauptziel des Projektes IACO - das 2006 in Malaga begonnen wurde - ist es, die Gesellschaft davon zu überzeugen, dass die Städte so beleuchtet werden müssen, dass man das Universum noch beobachten kann. Dadurch würde nicht nur Energie gespart, sondern es wäre auch positiv für die Umwelt sowie für die Lebensqualität von Bürgern und zahlreichen Tier- und Pflanzenarten.

Aus diesem Grund hat die Gemeinde von Antigua Initiativen in Gang gesetzt, um die Lichtverschmutzung in den Orten Triquivijate und Casillas de Morales zu reduzieren, indem sie diese mit einer Beleuchtung ausstattete, die nicht blendet, effizienter und weniger umweltschädlich ist.

Las obras presentadas pasaron a formar parte del archivo fotográfico del Ayuntamiento y fueron expuestas entre el 19 y el 30 de marzo en el centro de juventud de Antigua.

Los jóvenes plasmaron con el objetivo de sus cámaras distintas visiones y matices del ámbito del municipio. El nivel creativo de los participantes fue la nota predominante en esta primera edición del concurso, tanto en la calidad como en la originalidad y en el mensaje de las fotografías.

Alba and Saúl Gonzalez win the photography competition “Antigua with a young look”

Alba and Saúl González were the winners of the first edition of the photography competition called “Antigua, with a young look”, that included cash prizes of 300 and 150 Euros respectively, while Natalia Pérez and Sara Rodríguez won consolation prizes.

The Ayuntamiento’s Youth Council initiative was part of the quarterly youth programme and was destined to enthusiasts and resident professionals from the Canaries aged between 14 and 30 years old. The jury evaluated all the photos presented by participants which were taken within the municipality, valuing their social characteristics, the composition, the plastic expression and the contents. Young enthusiasts expressed through photos their perception of their environment, as well as their tastes, fears, ways of life, preoccupations and motivations according to the bases established by the competition.

The creations presented are included in the photography archives of the Ayuntamiento and were exhibited between 19th and 30th March in Antigua’s youth centre. Those Young photographers captured with their lens various views and shades of the municipality. The creative level of participants was the predominant note of this first edition of the competition for their quality and originality as well as the messages contained in those pictures.

Die eingereichten Werke wurden in da Fotoarchiv der Gemeinde aufgenommen und vom 19. bis zum 30. März im Jugendzentrum von Antigua ausgestellt.

Die jungen Fotografen hatten mit ihren Kameras die Gemeinde von verschiedenen Gesichtspunkten aus aufgenommen. Dieser erste Fotowettbewerb zeichnete sich durch das kreative Niveau der Teilnehmer aus, was sich auch in der Originalität und der Aussagekraft der Fotos bemerkbar machte.

Alba y Saúl González fueron los ganadores de la primera edición del concurso de fotografía ‘Antigua, con mirada joven’, que incluía dos premios en metálico valorados en 300 y 150 euros, respectivamente, mientras que Natalia Pérez y Sara Rodríguez se alzaron con los dos accésit de esta convocatoria.

La iniciativa de la Concejalía de Juventud del Ayuntamiento , formó parte de la programación trimestral juvenil y estaba destinada a los aficionados y a los profesionales residentes en Canarias con edades comprendidas entre 14 y 30 años.

El jurado valoró todas las fotografías presentadas por los participantes y realizadas en el ámbito del municipio, valorando el carácter social, la composición, la expresión plástica y el contenido. Los jóvenes expresaron a través de imágenes su percepción sobre

Die Initiative des Amtes für Jugend der Gemeinde von war Teil des Jugendprogramms des Quartals und richtete sich an Hobbyfotografen und Profis im Alter von 14 bis 30, die auf den Kanaren wohnhaft sind.

Die Jury bewertete alle in der Gemeinde aufgenommenen Fotos, die die Teilnehmer eingereicht hatten.

Es gab folgende Bewertungskriterien: Sozialer Charakter, Komposition, plastischer Ausdruck und Inhalt.

Gemäß den Grundlagen des Wettbewerbs drückten die jungen Menschen mit ihren Fotos aus, wie sie ihr Umwelt wahrnehmen, was ihnen gefällt, was sie

La Concejalía de Juventud del Ayuntamiento de Antigua, en colaboración con el área de Empleo y Desarrollo Local, ha impartido un taller de orientación laboral en el centro juvenil para ayudar a los jóvenes en la búsqueda activa de empleo, dando a conocer los recursos para facilitar su inserción laboral.

El curso estuvo dirigido a jóvenes desempleados con edades comprendidas entre 18 y 30 años, con la finalidad de que conocieran los instrumentos y adquirieran las habilidades necesarias para realizar una búsqueda de forma activa, organizada y planificada, ayudando a la consecución de sus objetivos.

Antigua advises young people of the municipality in their active search for employment

Antigua’s Ayuntamiento’s Youth Council, in collaboration with the Employment and Local Development department, has initiated an employment advice workshop in the youth centre to help young people in their active search for employment, providing information about resources that can help with their insertion in the employment market. The course was aimed at unemployed people aged between 18 and 30 in order to inform them about instruments and help them acquire the required abilities to search actively, organise and plan, helping them to achieve their objectives.

Various tools for active searches were raised during the workshop, such as the creation of a coherent CV and a presentation letter, how to successfully go through an employment interview, and the specialised “online” employment networks.

Antigua berät junge Bürger der Gemeinde bei der aktiven Arbeitssuche

Das Amt für Jugend der Gemeinde von Antigua hat im Jugendzentrum in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Bereich für Beschäftigung und örtliche Entwicklung einen Kurs für berufliche Orientierung veranstaltet.

Damit wurde beabsichtigt, Jugendlichen bei der Arbeitssuche zu helfen, indem ihnen erklärt wurde, mit welchen Mitteln die Eingliederung in den Arbeitsmarkt für sie leichter ist.

Dieser Kurs wendete sich an junge Arbeitslose im Alter von 18 bis 30, die dort Werkzeuge kennenlernen und die Fähigkeit erwerben sollten, die für die aktive, organisierte und geplante Arbeitssuche notwendig sind. Auf diese Weise wird die Verwirklichung der Ziele erleichtert.

Während des Kurses wurden die verschiedenen Werkzeuge erklärt: Die Teilnehmer lernten einen richtigen Lebenslauf und einen Vorstellungsbrief zu schreiben, ein Vorstellungsgespräch erfolgreich zu führen und im Internet Stellenangebote zu finden.

La iglesia Nuestra Señora de La Antigua fue el escenario del único concierto programado por el VII Encuentro de Música Religiosa de Canarias en Fuerteventura y que tuvo lugar el pasado mes de marzo.

En esta actuación el Coro de Cámara Mateo Guerra, bajo la batuta del director Luis García, interpretó la obra Responsorios de Tinieblas del maestro Tomás Luis de Victoria.

El Coro de Cámara Mateo Guerra, integrado en la Fundación Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria, se ha especializado en la interpretación de un repertorio diferente a las grandes obras sinfónico corales.

Nacido en el año 2000, a lo largo de su trayectoria

ha participado en diferentes eventos culturales interpretando obras de Rossini, Liszt, Brahms, Bach y Schubert, entre otros.

Responsorios de Tinieblas ha sido calificado como el corpus más importante de música para la Semana Santa jamás compuesto por un maestro español. Publicados por Tomás Luis de Victoria en 1585, son las piezas que se cantaban durante la Semana Santa en los maitines, antes del amanecer, los Jueves, Viernes y Sábado Santos. Por este motivo, su simbología se basa en la luz, la sombra y las tinieblas, a partir de textos bíblicos a los que estas plegarias responden.

The church of Nuestra Señora de La Antigua was the scene chosen for the unique concert programmed by the 7th Encounter of Religious Music of the Canaries in Fuerteventura which took place in March.

This act of the Coro de Cámara Mateo Guerra Choir, directed by the director Luis García, interpreted “Responsorios de Tinieblas” from the master Tomás Luis e Victoria.

The Coro de Cámara Mateo Guerra choir, which is part of the Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation of Gran Canaria specialises in the interpretation of a different repertoire than the well known choir symphonies. Created in 2000, they have participated along their trajectory in different cultural events by interpreting parts from Rossini, Liszt, Brahms, Bach and Schubert, to name a few.

Responsorios de Tinieblas has been qualified as the most important music corpus for Holly Week ever composed by a Spanish master. Published by Tomás Luis de Victoria in 1585, those parts were sung during the mornings on Holly Week, before dawn, on Holy Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. This is why its symbols are based on light, shadow and darkness from biblical texts.

statt. Dort trat der Kammerchor Mateo Guerra auf, der unter der Leitung des Dirigenten Luis García das Werk „Officium Sanctae Hebdomadae“ (Responsorios de Tinieblas) des Meisters Tomás Luis de Victoria interpretierte.

Der Kammerchor Mateo Guerra, der zur Stiftung „Fundación Orquesta Filarmónica” aus Gran Canaria gehört, hat sich auf ein Repertoire spezialisiert, das sich von den großen Symphonien für Chöre unterscheidet. Er wurde im Jahr 2000 gegründet und ist bei verschiedenen kulturellen Events aufgetreten, wo er unter anderem Werke von Rossini, Liszt, Brahms, Bach und Schubert interpretierte.

Das „Officium Sanctae Hebdomadae“ wird als bedeutendstes Werk für die Karwoche bezeichnet, der jemals von einem spanischen Meister komponiert wurde. Dieses Werk wurde 1585 von Tomás Luis de Victoria veröffentlicht und besteht aus religiösen Gesängen, die während der Osterwoche am Donnerstag, Karfreitag und Samstag bei den Frühmetten vor Sonnenaufgang gesungen werden sollten. La Corporación transmite sus mejores deseos a la abuela centenaria de Betancuria, a la que le ofreció un homenaje en 2007, cuando cumplió los cien años, al igual que realizó la parroquia del municipio.

Las mejores drags de Canarias actuaron en la gala que se celebró en Corralejo, con motivo de los Carnavales del municipio. Los ganadores en las galas celebradas este año en Gran Canaria, Lanzarote y Telde desfilaron por el escenario del recinto carnavalero.

El cartel de uno de los actos con más afluencia de público del Carnaval de Corralejo contaba con un total de once drags y con las actuaciones del grupo coreográfico “Kilmilleisi” y de la cantante Sonia Madoc (ex componente del dúo Sonia y Selena.

The best Drag Queens of the Canaries were present for the gala that took place in Corralejo at the occasion of the municipality’s Carnival. The winners of the galas celebrated this year in Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Telde paraded on the scene of the carnival ground.

Las playas del municipio de La Oliva acogieron del 17 al 23 de marzo la cuarta edición de “Fuerteventura Wave Classic”, un evento innovador por equipos en el que se dieron cita algunos de los mejores windsurfistas internacionales. Este año, el cartel lo encabeza la grancanaria Iballa Ruano y otros campeones como Darío Ojeda y Yannick Anton.

El escenario de cada una de las regatas se decidiría en función de las condiciones meteorológicas que haya en cada playa y todos los participantes, tanto los profesionales como los aficionados, podrán tomar parte en una competición en la que, tras siete días, se decide cuál es el equipo ganador.

The beaches of the municipality of La Oliva welcomed between 17th and 23rd March the fourth edition of “Fuerteventura Wave Classic”, an innovating event where teams of international windsurfers get together. März auf der Plaza de la Candelaria in Gran Tarajal statt. Dort verbrachten Eltern und Kinder einen angenehmen Nachmittag; es gab Kurse, eine Vesper, Animation mit Jable Producciones und Spiele, an denen Jungen, Mädchen und Erwachsene gemeinsam teilnahmen.

“Das Hauptziel ist es, die Entwicklung der ländlichen Gebiete auf der Insel zu fördern“ FMHOY - Fuerteventura Wir unterhalten uns mit einem jungen Geschäftsführer, der aktiv, freundlich und sehr umgänglich ist.

Er hat Meereswissenschaften studiert und danach seinen Doktor am Institut für Forschung und Wissenschaft in Puerto del Rosario (INIPRO) gemacht.

Es ist bemerkenswert, dass er dann im Bereich der Landwirtschaft tätig wurde.

Dank seinen Bemühung, seiner Unterstützung und seiner Nähe konnten viele ihre Projekte mit den Subventionen der EU für die Entwicklung von ländlichen Gebieten verwirklichen.

Cristóbal hat mit seinem Lächeln und mit seiner Geduld dabei geholfen, die erforderlichen Formalitäten zu erledigen, die oft kompliziert sind, damit Kleinunternehmer oder Projekte für notwendige Verbesserungen die benötigten Hilfen bekommen.

Cristóbal David de Vera hat das Projekt G.D.R. Maxorata (Verwaltung der ländlichen Entwicklung) von September 2008 bis heute geleitet. Wir wollten uns von ihm erzählen lassen, was er getan hat und welche Ziele mit diesem Projekt verwirklicht werden sollen.

Was ist G.D.R. Maxorata?

Es ist eine Gruppe, die sich um ländliche Entwicklung kümmert, ein Verband für die Verwaltung der ländlichen Entwicklung für ein grünes Maxorata.

Dieser Name ist wirklich lang. Der Verband wurde aufgrund einer Ausschreibung der kanarischen Insel für die Verwaltung der Mittel für die landwirtschaftliche Entwicklung gegründet. Dazu gehörte die Gründung dieser gemeinnützigen Verbände, die es auf allen Inseln des Archipels gibt und die Gruppen für örtliche Aktionen genannt werden.

Diese Mittel kommen aus dem Programm der „vierten Achse“ für die ländliche Entwicklung der Kanaren von 2007-2013. Das ist der Bereich, den wir bewegen, die Initiative. Sie verfügt über 18 Millionen Euro für die gesamten Kanaren. Wenn wir das zu den öffentlichen Geldern hinzufügen, haben wir mehr als das doppelte. Fuerteventura bekommt 1,860.000 €. öffentliche Hilfen, außerdem bekommt jedes Projekt auch noch private Unterstützung.

Unsere Subventionen sind für Mikro-Landwirtschaftsoder Viehzuchtbetriebe, ländlichen Tourismus, Innovation, Maschinen und Technologie für die Landwirtschaft, öffentliche Betriebe usw. Die Projekte, die wir unterstützen, sind sehr vielfältig; unser Hauptziel ist es jedoch, die ländliche Entwicklung der Insel zu fördern.

Ist der Betrag 1.860.000 € für alle Projekte in der Zeitspanne oder für jedes Jahr?

Als das Abkommen unterzeichnet wurde, wurde dieser Gesamtbetrag abgemacht, der auf mehrere Jahre verteilt wird. Die erste Ausschreibung gab es im März 2009, außerdem machten wir zwei weitere im Jahr 2010.

Insgesamt haben wir mit einem Gesamtbetrag von 600.000 € 45 Subventionen vergeben. Dazu kommt, dass jedes Projekt auch mit einem privaten Anteil finanziert wird. Beides zusammen hat in der ländlichen Ökonomie die Investition von 1.442.000 € dynamisiert.

Warum scheint es, dass es diese Investitionen nur in den Jahren 2008 und 2009 gab?

Wir konnten die Annuitäten der Jahre 2010 und 2011 nicht realisieren, weil die autonome Region der Kanaren sich nicht an das Budget gehalten hat.

Wir sind von dem Amt für Landwirtschaft abhängig, welches sich nicht an das Abkommen gehalten hat.

Wenn wir keine Mittel bekommen, haben wir nichts, was wir verwalten können. Es ist gewiss, dass in diesen zwei Jahren die 45 Vorgänge durchgeführt

wurden. Wir haben weiter gearbeitet. Insgesamt wurde in unserem Departement mehr als 95% der erhaltenen Haushaltsposten ausgeführt.

Stimmt es, dass Sie sich auf Ausbildungskurse spezialisiert haben?

Ja, als wir Anfang des Jahres 2008 mit unserer Tätigkeit begonnen haben, merkten wir, dass es in bestimmten Bereichen der Landwirtschaft, der Viehzucht, des Gartenbaus usw. schwer war, die notwendige Ausbildung zu bekommen. Aus diesem Grund musste man auf andere Inseln gehen, um die offiziell erforderliche Akkreditierung zu bekomme.

Aus diesem Grund haben wir uns als Ausbilder von der Regierung der Kanaren anerkennen lassen, so dass wir offizielle anerkannte Kurse anbieten können.

Was für Kurse bieten Sie an?

Von einer phytosanitären Grundausbildung bis zum Beschneiden von Obstbäumen, Facharbeiten mit Palmen, Diversifizierung von Milchprodukten, Management von Landwirtschaftsbetrieben usw.

Diese Kurse sind als Ausbildung von landwirtschaftlichen Fachleuten anerkannt. Es gibt die Anzahl von Unterrichtsstunden, die für die Diplomierung notwendig sind. Vorher mussten die Leute die Insel verlassen, weil es hier keine angemessenen Kurse gab.

Parallel zur „Achse vier“ von Leader haben wir auch Kooperationsprojekte durchgeführt. Unter anderem das Projekt für die „Criada” (örtlicher Trüffel) mit der Universität von Murcia und das Projekt für die Gesundung der Palmhaine der Insel zusammen mit der Stadt Elche.

Wir haben auch ein Projekt zusammen mit La Palma präsentiert: Die Bank des Wissens.

Was ist die Bank des Wissens?

Diese Bank hat nichts mit Geld zu tun, sondern ist ein Kompendium des Wissens, das im Lauf der Zeit von vielen Generationen erworben wurde. Es ist eine Website, auf der wir Berichte unserer Alten veröffentlichen, so dass Methoden und Erfahrungen erhalten werden, die nützlich sein können.

Stimmt es, dass die Wirtschaftskrise eine Rückkehr zum ländlichen Leben und zur Landwirtschaft verursacht hat?

Ja, in einem gewissen Maße. In den letzten Jahrze-

hnten wurde die Landwirtschaft auf der Insel aufgegeben. Zum Glück ist die Viehzucht erhalten geblieben Der Mangel an Regen hat die Arbeit der Bauern erschwert. Es gibt zwar Brunnen, aber der Wassermangel führt dazu, dass der der Grundwasserspiegel sinkt.

Ist es wahr, dass die Gruppen von Leader schon lange funktionieren?

Ja, seit dem Jahr 1996. Bis heute hatte Leader vier Phasen. Die vorherigen Programme, Leader 2 und 3, waren nicht so effizient, wie man erwartet hatte; in dieser letzten Phase wurde G.D.R. Maxorata gegründet.

Mit Effizienz meinen Sie, dass man die Mittel bekommt und so viele wie möglich vergibt. Stimmt das?

Ja, wir haben uns bemüht, diese Subventionen bekannt zu machen und ihre Vergabe bestmöglich zu unterstützen. Es bringt gar nichts, Projekte zu bewerten und diese dann nicht zu verwirklichen, noch nicht einmal um dieses Departement zu erhalten, denn wir bekommen 16% von den Subventionen, um diese Einrichtung zu erhalten (Ausgaben, Gehalt usw.).

In diesem Departement gibt es allerdings nicht viele Beschäftigte...

Es gibt nur zwei, Isabel, die die Verwaltung macht, und mich. Anfangs waren wir vormittags im Büro und besuchten nachmittags Genossenschaften, Kulturzentren, Gemeinden usw. Wir hielten Vorträge, informierten uns über die Bedürfnisse der Nutzer und bemühten uns, eine Lösung zu finden, um die erforderlichen Hilfen bereitstellen zu können.

Wir haben eine Untersuchung über die landwirtschaftlichen Lebensmittelprodukte der Insel Fuerteventura gemacht. Dafür wurden mehr als 300 Befragungen mit Verbrauchern, Herstellern und Touristen durchgeführt. Es war eine intensive Forschung, wobei festgestellt wurde, was die Verbraucher mögen, was verbessert werden konnte, usw., damit wir das fördern können, nachdem die höchste Nachfrage besteht.

Nun können wir Ihnen nur wünschen, dass Sie in den nächsten Jahren mit dieser Tätigkeit weiter machen können.

Zurzeit warten wir ab, denn wir können weiter machen, weil der Cabildo uns bei der Verwaltung hilft und finanziell unterstützt. Die Regierung der Kanaren muss eine Entscheidung über unsere Zukunft fällen.

Es wäre schade, die Hilfen der EU zu verpassen, welche allen Ländern angeboten werden. Ich muss hervorheben, dass pro 7,50 €, die uns die Regierung der Kanaren zur Verfügung stellt, 92,50 € von der EU und vom Ministerium für Landwirtschaft dazu kommen.

Das ist zwar schwer für die Regierung der Kanaren, aber man muss die Rentabilität mit allen anderen möglichen Hilfen und Subventionen vergleichen.

Hier geht es nicht um das Überleben dieses Departements, sondern um den Verlust dieser großen Investition und um das Wachstum der Insel.

“The main objective is to promote the island’s rural development” FMHOY - Fuerteventura We met with a young executive, active, pleasant and very accessible who graduated from Sciences of the Sea, then got a doctorate from the Institute of Research and Science of Puerto del Rosario (INIPRO) and who curiously was lead to dedicate his working life to the earth.

His efforts, support and closeness have enabled many people to see their projects become reality, thanks to the grant of the European Community for rural development.

Cristóbal, with his usual smile and patience, has been helping with the usually complex necessary procedures that can turn into reality the help that is so needed by many small businesses or for improvement projects.

Cristóbal David de Vera has been leading the G.D.R. Maxorata project (Rural Development Management) since September 2008 until now and we wanted him to explain what his task consisted of and what the objective of this Project is.

What is G.D.R. Maxorata?

It is a group of rural development, an Association for the Management of Maxorata Verde Rural Development, quite a long name actually. It was born from an decision of the Canarian Government to manage agricultural development funds that include the creation of this non profit association which exists on every island of the archipelago, called Local Action Groups.

Those funds come from the Rural Development Programme of the Canaries for the 2007-2013 period.

We manage the Leader initiative from here. There are about 18 million Euros for the whole of the Canary Islands, which when added to the public budget doubles that figure. Fuerteventura gets 1 860 000 Euros of public support which is added to the private funds of each project.

Our line of grants includes micro-businesses of various types such as agricultural, livestock, rural tourism, innovations, agricultural machinery and technology, public enterprises, etc. They are diversified in general although our main objective is to promote rural development on the Island.

Is this figure of 1.860.000 Euros the total amount for all projects for the whole duration of the period or is it for each year?

When the agreement was signed, it was signed for this total, which was spread over various years. The first announcement came out in March 2009 and later we made another two in 2010. In total we have authorised 45 grants for a total of 600.000 Euros which together with the private funding of each project represents an impulse in the investment of the rural economy of 1.442.000 Euros.

It seems that this investment only lasted during 2008 and 2009?

That’s correct; we could not manage the 2010 and 2011 annuities because the Autonomous Community did not comply with the budgets. We depend from the Agriculture Council which has not complied with the agreement. If we don’t receive the resources we don’t have funds to manage. What is for certain is that during those two years we took care of 45 files, we did not stay inactive. In total, we executed over 95% of the funds received by our department.

But you have also specialised in training courses, is that right?

Yes, when we started in early 2008, we realised that we had great difficulties with the required trai-

ning in various specialities in agricultures, livestock, parks and gardening, amongst others. This meant travelling to other islands in order to acquire the official credentials, which is why we became an official training centre for the Canarian Government, which allowed us to provide various training courses with their corresponding credentials.

What type of training courses do you provide?

From basic to qualified phytosanitary, fruit tree pruning, specific work with palm trees, diversification of dairy products, agricultural business management, etc.

Those courses are homologated for the corresponding professional agricultural qualification. The number of training course hours required for the graduation used to make people leave the island as the adequate courses were not available on the island.

In parallel to the Leader Programme, we also created cooperation projects such as the “craiada” (local truffle) with the University of Murcia and also the recuperation of the Island’s palm trees together with the town of Elche.

We have also presented the project of the Wisdom Bank with La Palma.

What is the Wisdom Bank?

This bank doesn’t have anything to do with money. It is the summary of the accumulated knowledge along many generations. It is a webpage where we all add tales from our elders so that they can be preserved; methods and experiences that could be useful.

Is it true that the crisis has created a come back to the rural and agricultural way of life?

Yes, it is true in some ways. For a long time the agriculture was abandoned on the Island; by chance the livestock was maintained.

The scarcity of rain made it very difficult for farmer’s labour because unless they had wells, the scarcity of water made the ground water level go down.

The Leader groups have been in action for a while, haven’t they?

Yes, there have been four Leader stages since 1996 until now. But previously, Leader 2 and 3 were not

as efficient as expected and for the last one, G.D.R. Maxorata was created.

The efficiency you refer to means to manage to use and move as much as possible the funds received, is that correct?

Yes, we have ensured that people were aware of those grants and have helped as much as possible in their achievement. Evaluating projects only and not making them materialise was no use, not even to keep the department active, because according to the money handed out in grants, we receive 16% to maintain this organisation alive (costs, wages, etc.).

But there aren’t many of you working in this department…

Only two: Isabel at the administration and myself.

At the beginning, in the mornings we would be in the office, but in the afternoons we would dedicate ourselves to visit cooperatives, cultural centres, ayuntamientos, etc., for informational chats, finding out about their needs and looking for ways to generate adequate support.

We actually created a document with over 300 surveys from consumers, producers and tourists which is a study on farm-produce from the island of Fuerteventura. It was an intense study, finding out what people liked, what could be improved, etc. in order to be able to work on what was demanded the most.

Now we just need to wish that you can continue with this project for the next few years.

At present we are waiting, because we are surviving thanks to the Cabildo that helps us with the management and financial support. The Canarian Government must make a decision about us, it would be a shame to waste this help from Europe which is aimed at all the countries and I must point out that for every 7,50 € spent by the Canarian Government, the Ministry of Agriculture of the European Community adds 92,50€. It is an effort from the Canarian Government but we must value the profitability when compared to other possible support or investment.

It is not about the Department’s survival, it is about the enormous loss in investment and growth for the island.

El sendero de Las Peñitas abierto al público tras finalizar los trabajos de rehabilitación FMHOY - Fuerteventura El sendero de Las Peñitas, en Betancuria, se encuentra disponible para su uso tras culminar los trabajos de rehabilitación que ha desarrollado la Consejería de Medio Ambiente del Cabildo, desde que se conociera que gran parte de los elementos de seguridad de este camino hubieran sido destruidos en un acto de vandalismo.

Estos trabajos, en los que ha colaborado el ayuntamiento de Betancuria, han consistido en la restitución de los elementos deteriorados como los postes de seguridad, los escalones de piedra o la pasarela de madera que el Cabildo instaló en su momento a la altura de la ermita, precisamente para facilitar el paso de los caminantes en este punto.

Asimismo, aprovechando la presencia del personal de Medio Ambiente en la zona, se ha acondicionado también el firme del sendero y se ha repintado la ermita, tanto en su fachada exterior como interior.

Natalia Évora, consejera de Medio Ambiente en la institución insular, valoró positivamente “la celeridad con que ha sido posible recuperar este sendero para su uso por excursionistas y turistas que se acercan a conocer uno de los parajes más singulares y atractivos de la Isla, en una zona en la que además se encuentra la ermita original de nuestra patrona insular, la Virgen de La Peña”.

La consejera precisó también que ya se ha retirado la prohibición de paso en el tramo que acogió el desarrollo de los trabajos, “desde el acceso que está en la charca de Las Peñitas hasta el Palmeral de Ajuy”.

Este sendero discurre en el entorno de la presa de Las Peñitas y la ermita original de la Virgen de la Peña, y es utilizado por una gran cantidad de excursionistas y fieles que se acercan hasta el lugar donde cuenta la tradición que apareció la imagen de la Virgen de la Peña.

Der Wanderweg von Las Peñitas wird nach Abschluss der Sanierungsarbeiten für das Publikum geöffnet FMHOY - Fuerteventura Nach Abschluss der Sanierungsarbeiten, die vom Amt für Umwelt des Cabildo ausgeführt wurden, kann der Wanderweg von Las Peñitas in Betancuria wieder benutzt werden. Diese Arbeiten wurden durchgeführt, nachdem bekannt geworden war, dass ein Großteil der der Sicherheit dienenden Elemente dieses Wanderwegs durch Vandalismus zerstört worden waren.

Im Rahmen dieser Arbeiten, an denen auch die Gemeinde von Betancuria beteiligt war, wurden die beschädigten Teile wie Sicherheitspfosten, steinerne Stufen oder hölzerne Stege ersetzt, die der Cabildo auf der Höhe der Wallfahrtskapelle installiert hatte,

um den Wanderern den Zugang zu erleichtern.

Die Anwesenheit des Amtes für Umwelt wurde außerdem genutzt, um die befestigte Decke des Wanderwegs herzurichten. Überdies wurden die Fassade und das Innere der Wallfahrtskapelle neu gestrichen.

Natalia Évora, die Beauftragte für Umwelt der Inselregierung, bewertete positiv, “dass dieser Wanderwegs schnell in Ordnung gebracht wurde, so dass er von Ausflüglern und Touristen genutzt werden kann, die eine der einzigartigsten und schönsten Landschaften der Insel kennenlernen möchten, welche in einer Gegend liegt, in der sich auch die Wallfahrtska-

pelle der Schutzherrin unserer Insel, die „Virgen de La Peña“, befindet”.

Die Beauftragte für Umwelt erklärte auch, dass man den Bereich, in dem die Arbeiten ausgeführt wurden, nun wieder betreten kann, der sich „zwischen dem Zugang in Las Peñitas und dem Palmhain von Ajuy befindet“.

Dieser Wanderweg geht durch die Gegend von Las Peñitas und führt zur Wallfahrtskapelle der „Virgen de la Peña“. Er wird von zahlreichen Ausflüglern und Gläubigen genutzt, die bis zu dem Ort wandern, über den überliefert wurde, dass dort die „Virgen de la Peña“ erschienen ist.

Las Peñitas path is open to the public after the completion of rehabilitation work FMHOY - Fuerteventura Las Peñitas path, in Betancuria, is now available to hikers further to the completion of the rehabilitation work carried out by the Cabildo’s Environment Council, as many of the safety features of this path had been destroyed in an act of vandalism.

The work carried out in collaboration with Betancuria’s ayuntamiento consisted in repairing the deteriorated elements such as safety posts, stone steps or the wooden gangway that the Cabildo had installed at the level of the chapel, precisely to make access easier for hikers.

Taking advantage of the presence of the Environment Staff in the area it was decided to work on the path’s surface and the chapel has also been repainted both on the exterior and the interior.

Natalia Évora, Environment Councillor, was pleased with “the swiftness of the repairs made on the path to enable its use by hikers and tourists who come to visit one of the most unique and attractive landscapes of the Island, in an area that includes an original chapel of the island’s patron, Virgen de la Peña”.

The councillor also pointed out that the entry ban has been lifted on the path that was restored “from the access by the ponds of Las Peñitas until the palm grove of Ajuy”.

This path runs in the area of Las Peñitas dam and the original chapel of Virgen de la Peña and is used by many hikers and congregations that visit the place where the tradition says that the picture of Virgen de la Peña appeared.

Una suelta de tortugas en tres idiomas FMHOY - Fuerteventura Más de 200 personas, entre turistas y agentes de viaje de los turoperadores que trabajan en Fuerteventura, participaron recientemente en la suelta de dos tortugas ‘boba’ (Caretta caretta) que fueron devueltas al mar en el marco de una campaña de concienciación ambiental desarrollada por el Proyecto Pelagos.

La liberación de los dos ejemplares tuvo lugar en la Playa del Granillo, en Costa Calma (Pájara), y contó con el impulso de la Reserva de la Biosfera de Fuerteventura y la Consejería de Medio Ambiente del Cabildo. El personal del hotel Río Calma –colaborador también del proyecto-, se encargó de traducir las charlas a los idiomas de los turistas asistentes, en este caso alemán, inglés y francés.

La iniciativa de realizar una campaña de concienciación sobre la conservación de las tortugas se concibe para lograr dos objetivos principales. Por un lado, los agentes de viaje invitados pueden informarse sobre el Proyecto de Reintroducción de la Tortuga Boba en Fuerteventura y conocer los mecanismos necesarios para actuar en caso de aparecer ejemplares accidentados en las zonas turísticas.

Por otro, la charla a los turistas permite dar a conocer y concienciar acerca de las amenazas que se ciernen sobre las distintas especies de tortugas en el mundo. Aunque ni en España ni en Canarias está permitido ni hay tradición, en muchos otros países las tortugas son un producto de consumo humano, ya sea como alimento o para la elaboración de bisutería a partir de sus caparazones. Toda esta concienciación en el marco del Proyecto Pelagos es necesaria para evitar que los turistas consuman productos tortuga

cuando visitan otros destinos.

El tema de los residuos plásticos en el medio marino, uno de las principales causas de mortandad de tortugas, cetáceos y aves, acaparó también una parte de esta campaña de concienciación.

Los ejemplares liberados fueron dos tortugas boba jóvenes, de menos de 10 kilogramos de peso, recuperados tras aparecer accidentados cerca de la costa y recibir los cuidados necesarios durante aproximadamente un mes.

Mit Durchführung einer Bewusstseinsbildungskampagne über den Erhalt der Schildkröten sollen zwei wichtige Ziele erreicht werden. Erstens können sich die eigeladenen Tourismusagenten über das Projekt für die Wiedereinführung der unechten Karettschildkröten auf Fuerteventura informieren und die notwendigen Maßnahmen kennenlernen, die getroffen werden müssen, wenn verunglückte Tiere in den touristischen Gegenden auftauchen.

Außerdem wird mit einem Vortrag für die Touristen ermöglicht, diesen bewusst zu machen, dass verschiedene Schildkrötenarten auf der Welt vom Aussterben bedroht sind. Obwohl das weder in Spanien noch auf den Kanaren erlaubt ist und auch nicht Tradition ist, stellt man in vielen anderen Ländern

Lebensmittel aus Schildkrötenfleisch oder Modeschmuck aus Schildkrötenpanzern Panzer her. Diese Bewusstseinsbildung, die im Rahmen des Pelagos Projektes durchgeführt wird, ist notwendig, um zu verhindern, dass diese Touristen an anderen Urlaubsorten Schildkrötenprodukte verbrauchen wenden.

Ein weiteres Thema war der Plastikmüll im Meer, der eine der Hauptursachen des Sterbens von Schildkröten, Walen und Vögeln ist.

Die freigelassenen Exemplare waren zwei junge unechte Karettschildkröten, die weniger als 10 Kilo wiegen. Sie waren verunglückt und in der Nähe der Küste aufgetaucht.

Nachdem sie ungefähr einen Monat lang die notwendige Pflege erhalten hatten, sind sie freigelassen worden.

The release of those two specimens took place in Playa del Granillo in Costa Calma (Pájara) and was backed up by Fuerteventura’s Biosphere Reserve and the Cabildo’s Environment Council. The Ría Hotel staff – also a collaborator in this project – was in charge of translating the explanations in German, English and French for the foreign tourists who attended.

The initiative of this awareness campaign about turtle preservation is aimed at two main objectives.

On one side, travel agents invited can be informed about the project of Reintroduction of the Loggerhead Turtle in Fuerteventura and find out about the required measures to be taken when encountering injured specimens in tourist areas.

On the other hand, the chat with tourists informs

them and makes them aware of the threats that surround various turtle species in the world. Although it is not allowed in Spain or in the Canaries and there are no such traditions either, in many other countries turtles are consumed by humans, either to be eaten as such or for the elaboration of jewels from their shell. This awareness campaign of the Pelagos Project is necessary to stop tourists consuming products made from turtles when they visit other destinations.

The problem of plastic residue in the marine environment, one of the main causes of mortality amongst turtles, cetaceans and birds, was an important point raised during this awareness campaign also.

The specimens released were two young Loggerhead turtles, weighing less than ten kilos that were found injured close to the coast and received the required care during approximately one month.

Eine Schildkrötenfreilassung in drei Sprachen FMHOY - Fuerteventura

Mehr als 200 Personen – Touristen und Reiseveranstalter, die auf Fuerteventura tätig sind – nahmen an der Freilassung von unechten Karettschildkröten (Caretta caretta) teil. Diese Tiere wurden im Rahmen einer Kampagne für die Bildung eines Umweltbewusstseins, welche von dem Pelagos Projekt durchgeführt wurde, zurück ins Meer geschickt.

Die Freilassung der zwei Schildkröten fand am Strand Playa del Granillo in Costa Calma (Pájara) statt und wurde vom Biosphärenreservat von Fuerteventura und vom Amt für Umwelt des Cabildo unterstützt.

Das Personal des Hotels Río Calma –welches das Projekt auch unterstützt –, übersetzte die Vorträge in die Sprachen der anwesenden Touristen, in diesem Fall Ins Deutsche, Englische und Französische.

Over 200 people, amongst tourists and tour operator agents who work in Fuerteventura, recently participated in the release of two Loggerhead turtles (Caretta caretta) that were taken back to the ocean

Pollo a la Amaia Resulta que me dice Amaia ¿has probado esto??

Y me dio una receta. ¡Dicho y hecho!

Aquí el resultado... pa’chuparse los dedos...

INGREDIENTES Pechuga de pollo deshuesada y limpia Pimiento rojo y verde, troceados Cebolla troceada Ajo troceado Nuez moscada, pimienta, orégano, sal Nata Piña en su jugo en lata Arroz ELABORACION Ponemos a pochar la cebolla, con los pimientos.

Cuando este pochada, añadimos la pechuga de pollo cortada en tacos. Removemos...

Cuando ya vemos que está hecha... añadimos el jugo de la lata, y bajando el fuego dejamos que se guise el pollo en ese jugo. Salpimentamos, y añadimos la nuez moscada y el orégano.

Cuando haya reducido el jugo, añadiremos la nata, un brick pequeño y dejaremos que reduzca.

Troceamos la piña y la añadimos al guiso a la vez que la nata.

El resultado está a la vista.

Para acompañarlo, un poco de arroz blanco.

Y para beber, un vinito fresco, un blanco de Malvasía.

Hier ist das Ergebnis... und es ist wirklich lecker...

ZUTATEN Saubere Hähnchenbrust ohne Knochen Rote und grüne Paprika (zerkleinert) Zwiebel (zerkleinert) Knoblauch (zerkleinert) Musskatnuss, Pfeffer, Oregano, Salz Sahne Dose Ananas Reis ZUBEREITUNG Wir braten die Zwiebeln mit der Paprika an. Dann geben wir die Hähnchenbrust hinzu, die vorher in kleine Würfel geschnitten wurde. Wir rühren um...

Wenn wir sehen, dass alles bereit ist, geben wir den Saft aus der Dose hinzu und lassen das Hähnchen auf kleiner Flamme in dieser Sauce köcheln. Wir geben Salz, Pfeffer, Muskatnuss und Oregano dazu.

Wenn die Sauce etwas eingekocht ist, geben wir die etwas Sahne dazu und warten, bis sie dicker wird. Wir schneiden die Ananas in kleine Stückchen und geben sie zusammen mit der Sahne dazu.

Nun können wir das Ergebnis sehen.

Dazu gibt es ein bisschen weißen Reis.

Zu trinken gibt es... einen frischen Wein... einen weißen Malvasía.

Once it is done… add the pineapple juice from the tin, and bring the heat down so that the chicken cooks in this juice. Add salt, pepper, nutmeg and oregano.

Once the juice has reduced, add the cream and let it reduce. Chop the pineapple and add it in at the same time as the cream.

This is the result.

Serve with boiled rice and a nice chilled white wine from Malvasía.
