One year after Hurricanes Irma and María
Sustainable renovation in our communities Puerto Rico Community Recovery Fund
FUNDACIÓN COMUNITARIA DE PUERTO RICO
The Puerto Rico Community Recovery Fund was activated immediately, thus becoming a reliable source for donors interested in helping and strengthening our communities, and a source of grants for organizations throughout the Island. A total of $13 million has been received since then and $7 million has been granted to non-profit organizations and individuals. To transition from the immediate relief to sustainable renovation stages, the Puerto Rico Community Foundation implemented a strategic design to guide the work, focusing on five areas: renewable energy, water, housing, economic development and education. This is the focus of our work for the next two years.
