• Divide students into teams of 2 or 3, and give each
team a dice. Let students roll the dice or play rockpaper-scissors to set the order of play in the game. Have students roll the dice and move their marker, using any small objects such as coins, erasers, buttons, etc., and say a word that has the letters written on the space.
• When a student lands on a space that says, “move
2 spaces,” the student moves 2 spaces forward as indicated. When a student lands on a space that says, “skip a turn,” the student cannot roll the dice on the next turn.
• When a student fails to say a word which has the
letters written on the space, the student cannot move forward but needs to go back to their original place. The first student who gets through the path and goes out of the “hole” wins the game.
