Project Update The excellent weather has continued again in Bowen meaning there have not been any delays caused by inclement weather to date. The builder is going full steam ahead to try and get the units to ‘lock-up stage’ which means all units will be completely water tight so even with bad weather, internal works will continue. Over the coming 1-2 months we would expect some more seasonal wet weather which we hope will not hinder the completion of the external works to the development.

Externally, the structure is now complete. All the blockwork is now competed to the roof level. Window reveals have all been rendered allowing for the installation of the windows to commence which is progressing but not yet complete. Fascias and gutters have been installed to all units, including the low-level roof covering. The main roof covering has been completed to 2 of the 3 blocks and should all be complete by the middle of next week. The rendering of the units has commenced as well.

Bloomer Construction are continuing to progress very well on site. Internal works are starting to take shape very quickly and walking through site you get a real appreciation of the proportions of the units. Bloomer have done all the internal framing of the partition walls within the units and have started to install the plasterboard to some of the walls. Rough-in electrical has completed and the rough-in of the plumbing services is progressing.

Over the coming period, we would expect the roofs to all be completed and all windows / external doors installed. The plasterboard and staircases should be installed with the potential for some fit-out of services. The kitchens and tiling are also scheduled to commence over the coming period, and are expected to be completed over the next few weeks. The next update promises to be very interesting with the units all starting to take their final shape with lots of photos to help you visualise it.
