Tribute Gibson This was an isometric composition that replicated each part of the guitar in a landscape. The speedboats along the neck created lines similar to guitar strings, and the island in the middle is in the same position as the guitar’s scratch plate.

Here are some of our favourite pictures that caught our attention recently, from some of the world’s most exciting artists and designers.
Photoshop is still the original software option when it comes to editing photos, and Slava really proves in this image just what it’s capable of. With over 700,000 views online, we’re not the only ones impressed with his work.

I was very inspired by the snow slopes and I took about 15 pictures on a digital camera that I borrowed from a friend. I really love bright colours so using a graphics tablet and a combination of overlay filters in Photoshop, I achieved a steep colour solution.
Pham’s work has been showcased by Adobe Illustrator for its beguiling, almost fairytale style. This is one piece that’s meticulously captured, and it’s been viewed nearly 25,000 times online.

With over 10,000 online views, Mirko’s city project has captured attention worldwide. Photoshop is a fantastic companion to Illustrator, and Mirko shows that here with his brushwork and colour adjusting.
London is part of a project called City of Colors. From sketch to Illustrator, I used Adobe Photoshop for post-production and details with custom dirty brushes. For colour correction I focused on gradients using layer masks together with the Curves and Levels adjustment layers.
Ewelina’s had over 5,000 views for this piece, and we’re among its biggest fans. The power of Photoshop is that it can make 3D work look real, and this is a wonderful example of that.

The final touches in this were made using Photoshop; I used Curves and Levels for a more expressive image. Adobe’s Camera Raw filter is very useful, too. It helped me to keep much better control over exposure, highlights and shadows. Gediminas’ ‘almost-butnot-quite’ 3D style is pretty much unique, and we love the attention to lighting and shade in this image. Behance’s Illustration gallery did too, and featured it on its site.

I made my Swing Night series using a Wacom Cintiq. I started out by sketching the scene, and then I rendered the background and the foreground separately. I used chalky texture brushes to maintain a natural look and feel.

I work with vector tools in Photoshop, then add a lot of effects via digital painting, textures, blending modes, etc. This gives the piece a look of almost-but-not-quite 3D, which I find original.
We love this illustration for its beautiful mix of warm and cool shades to complement and contrast. Natalie has been featured by Behance in the past, and we love the style of her artwork.

I divided this in two phases: hand sketch and digital painting, and adding patterns and textures. The lines, sketches and strokes make the work look ‘confused’ but it was a rigorous graphic process.

After isolating the saxophone, I integrated it on a background and added various brushes to achieve this effect. On a new layer I painted some shade. And finally I used Hue/Saturation to desaturate the saxophone.
