ello and welcome to the fifth issue of the 2Graphic magazine! It’s amazing how far this has come and how far hard work and dedication can get you, but we will talk about that some other time. In this fifth issue we are ushering in a brand new year. January 15th is when this drops, and 2020 is going to be an amazing step forward for everyone. fo 2Graphic, the biggest piece of news that we are announcing so far would be our collaboration with PG Parks and Planning to hold a graphic design course at Rolling crest 6

Community center in PG County Maryland. The center of the class will be what 2Graphic Productions holds dearest - the art of graphic design. Visual communication, Traditional art, digital media, photography, typography, sequential art, all these things play a role in every trade and anyone can benefit from knowing how graphic design works. So with that being read, we present the fifth issue of the two graphic magazine. Enjoy!

020 is a brand new year so of course

we have brand new goals. From the beginning give was a brand to promote the buying, selling, and donation of artwork. A lesser known goal was establishing GIVE as brand to promote the production of Kevin Alexander’s very own manga. For 2020 I’ll plan to have the first volume of the official gave manga done and of course tons of artwork, T-shirts, prints, and other things available for everyone. Just check out what we’ve got for sale on g1venlearn.com as well as on all other social media. Also slide on down to the Black Fantasy Comics section for more information on the manga!

Common Cent$ Financial Literacy By: Kevin Alexander Sr. Millennial Financial Literacy - Although I grew up in a low income, public housing project in Chester Pennsylvania, I was surrounded by a family and community that was rich far beyond material items that money could afford. However, that did not eliminate my desire become independently wealthy and to understand how finances work. I went on to earn a degree in Business and Economics and later went to work for a large financial services corporation. When I left for college, I assumed that everyone had a basic understanding of money but I quickly realized that not everyone did.

Below, I outline some helpful tips that millennials should use to start their journey to financial independence.

1.

Millennials must understand the importance of high-yield savings or investment accounts Opening a high-yield investment account is one of the easiest ways to make your money work for you. Your bank is paying you to keep your money with it. That’s free money.

20

Sadly, a lot of millennials don’t seem to know about high-yield savings or investment accounts. They use the standard savings account at a local or national bank and earn about 0.09% interest, not realizing they could be earning 20 times the interest somewhere else. High-interest-rate savings accounts offer 10 to 20 times the average interest rate of a regular savings account. Compare the onlineonly CIT Bank, my personal recommendation, with the average brick-and-mortar bank rate: CIT offers up to a 1.85% annual percentage yield, compared with the average bank rate of 0.09%. That’s literal dollars to pennies. Further research will reveal high yield savings and investment accounts approaching 5% or more.

2.

Millennials should always create a budget. Creating a budget means that you need to understand how to split your finances. And if you were never taught how to do these things — which many millennials weren’t, since personal finance isn’t taught in many schools — of course it won’t come naturally. Many millennials simply hadn’t been taught how to start a budget and how to track their spending to see if they’re sticking to it. Below is a tool called the 3 Bucket Budget, which is a great beginner platform for learning how to categorize your finances. You break your net (post-tax) income into three categories: Bucket 1 - Essentials (bills, utilities, housing, groceries, etc.)

@GO.G1V3

Bucket 2 - Savings (emergency fund, retirement, house)

has recovered, younger millennials have continued to feel the effects of the recession.

Bucket 3 - Fun (travel, dining out, etc.)

Salaries start lower than they did for earlier generations, which means a slower start to financial freedom. With high student-loan debt and lower starting salaries, many millennials feel discouraged about saving for retirement. However, it doesn’t take much to start, but starting early is essential.

Often, simply writing down your actual versus goals in each of these categories and figuring out how much money you’re spending helps create a visual of your financial situation. From there, you can make a plan to hit your savings and fun-money goals, which means you’re one step closer to understanding money. After that, the rest comes together.

3.

Millennials must check their credit scores frequently

Your credit score is basically your adult GPA. In short, it scores how reliable you’ll most likely be to money lenders based on several factors. The higher your score, the more reliable you look to lenders. This results in lower interest rates and a higher likelihood that your credit application will be approved. Unfortunately, credit-card companies can be predatory when it comes to young adults. It’s not uncommon that the minute you turn 18, credit-card companies begin swooping in to offer you “spending power.” Naturally, this sounds too good to be true (it is), and it can start young people off with bad spending habits, resulting in low credit scores. Paying your bills on time and keeping a low debt-to-income ratio will help your credit score. Check your credit reports regularly to be sure there are no mistakes affecting your scores.

4.

Millennials must start saving more money for retirement

Being a millennial means that you were most likely affected by the Great Recession. A lot of millennials in the mid- 2010s were jobless or underemployed, or had to go back to school because they couldn’t find work, resulting in more student-loan debt. As the economy

The power of compound interest means that the earlier you start investing, the sooner your investment starts growing and making money on your behalf. Women especially should be thinking about saving for retirement early. We face a retirement gender gap, since women tend to live longer than men and face a gender wage gap throughout their lives. Start by checking if your employer offers a retirement plan with a match. Medium-to-large companies tend to offer this as an employee benefit. This means that if you put in 4% of your pre-tax pay in the account, your employer will match you the same 4%. It’s essentially free money. Taking money out pre-tax means that you’ll never miss it and that you’re paying yourself first. If you get a raise, try increasing your contribution by 1 percentage point. You most likely won’t feel the impact, and you’ll be paying your future self more. Millennials get a bad rap for being lazy with their money. But the truth is millennials have had a rough start toward financial freedom and were not given the tools to succeed. As a baby boomer, I was able to chart a financial path by saving early and often. This strategy allowed me to retire and live a fairly comfortable life. Now, I’m honored to help people understand their finances and take the reins of their financial freedom.

@BLACK COMIC FAN T

here is quite the thin line between fantasy and reality. Someones fantasy could be anothers reality, and vice-versa. Ones hell can be anothers heaven, and ones heaven anothers hell. GIVE is the main project 2Graphic Productions is working on. In the previous issue there was mention of a lost book @peepthisshxt had made in 2005, the book shall be posted online to read, GIVE, The Official Manga will be a japanese style comic based on this book and the person that made it. The manga is expected to drop later in 2020, however our creativity doesnt stop there. We will also be working on making an official Anime for the manga after the manga drops. Years of putting this manga off has lead @peepthisshxt to finally create preliminary character sheets for the characters in the Manga. Ruby, Sapphire. Brock, and Kevin are all some of the first

characters made for the manga. Check out the characters and read a little about them! PATREON.COM/2GRAPHIC
