Introducción Mi Naturalismo. El presente catálogo muestra mi trabajo más reciente en lo relacionado al dibujo y la pintura. Por casi cuatro años me mantuve alejada de estas disciplinas hasta que en junio de este año la investigadora rapanui Sonia Haoa Cardinali me encargara realizar 81 ilustraciones botánicas y zoológicas para diferentes actividades de la recientemente creada Fundación Mata Ki Te Rangi (Ojos del Cielo). Al desarrollar este trabajo y volver a conectarme con el dibujo y la acuarela, me fue posible unir todos mis intereses en una sola disciplina: el naturalismo. Mi intención al mostrar estas imágenes es la de inaugurar una nueva etapa en mi vida creativa, dedicada al descubrimiento personal de especies naturales, viéndolas como fuentes inagotables y originales de formas, colores y sensaciones. Espero continuar mi investigación en esta área y así lograr la excelencia y precisión que exige. Aquí encontrarán algunas de las imágenes originales, además de creaciones libres que realicé posteriormente y que salen del ámbito puramente científico.
My Naturalism The present catalog shows my latest work in drawing and painting. For almost four years I was away from those techniques until Sonia Haoa Cardinali, independent researcher from Easter Island, commissioned me the illustration of 81 botanical and zoological species from Easter Island. This illustrations are now part of the first exhibition and book from the newly founded Mata Ki Te Rangi (The Eyes of Heaven) Foundation, to be released in Tenerife, Canary Islands. While working on this, I was able to re-connect myself with drawing and watercolour painting and even gather all my interests into one big field: Naturalism. My intention when showing this images is to release a new stage in my creative life, dedicated to the personal discovery of natural species, seeing them as an inexhaustible and original source of shapes. colours and sesations.
