Hail our Alma Mater,
to Germantown we sing,
Cherished are the memories
which ‘round thy old walls cling.
May thy glorious spirit
ever stay thy loyal ones,
And lead us on to victory,
tho’ foes unnumbered come.
Then whate’er betide us,
we will together stand,
By one bond united,
one common impulse grand.
Call us then together,
while we raise our voices high,
and fling defiance to our foes,
thy spirit cannot die.
GA-PC & Reunion Weekend was spectacular! The school spirit was palpable as students, faculty, parents, alumni and parents of alumni gathered to celebrate our friendships and the many talents of our athletes, artists and performers. To top it off, our student-athletes, together, brought the Competition Cup home to GA in this 130th year! A special aspect of this weekend, is that it often takes us back to our own days at GA, and reminds us, as alumni, that we have shared experiences and an appreciation for our school’s history and many incredible strengths. I’m proud to be an alumna of GA and to have this special bond with all of you, those who graduated before and after me. When I reminisce about my years at the school, I have realized that alumni played an important role in making many opportunities possible for all of us. We make GA strong. I hope you take a moment and reflect on your pride for GA and join me in supporting today’s Patriots who are discovering their interests, their passions and finding their path. “Hail Our Alma Mater…” –Cathy Thompson ’77, President, GA Alumni Society Board
