April 8, 2015 RE: Recommendation for Gabby Gaytan To whom it may concern: I had the pleasure of being Gabby Gaytan's supervisor at Allied Integrated Marketing during her winter/spring internship in 2014-2015. As an Account Coordinator, I supervised Gabby’s work as an intern for the Sony Pictures account. I am delighted to recommend her for a position in the public relations/communications field. The Sony internship demands a person that rises to a diverse set of challenges, and Gabby met each task I set her to with an enthusiasm that speaks to her passion for and interest in the industry. Gabby proved herself to be one of the most determined interns I have ever worked with. She is dependable, fearless, creative and goal driven. She also takes direction extremely well, and always seeks improvement, even on her successes. During her internship at Allied, Gabby primarily worked on promotions for the films ‘Annie,’ ‘The Interview,’‘Chappie,’ and ‘Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.’ This involved organizing several promotional events in Chicago and Milwaukee for each film, including locating on-target partners, developing a creative event with them and allocating promotional materials. Gabby regularly went above and beyond by working on her own time to make these events happen, and I was continually impressed by her organization and coordination skills. She also handled outreach to various groups and organizations for highly-targeted promotional screenings with ease and professionalism. Gabby also assisted on various other accounts during her time at Allied, including Walt Disney Studios and Fathom Events. I was impressed by the creative approach she had in finding opportunities for promotion for studios outside of her domain – and several times her solutions resulted in recognition for our market for a job well done. Gabby’s ability to jump into any project and not only finish it well but to also surpass expectations shows how serious she is about his future in the industry.
