COLLECTIVE HOUSING IN THE ALLEY Developed Individually FAU-USP [2019/2] São Paulo, Brazil.
An Alley is a space that can have various definitions and connotation according to the historical moment and its location in the urban fabric. Usually it consists in a walled and inhabited dead-end street. At the same time it can represent the most safe, quiet and instrospective space at the contemporary cities. Especially when looking at the new architectural interventions at the São Paulo downtown, the question is: how to provide urban density, quality and free spaces to a chaotic and dystopic urban landscape. Therefore this building was designed in a quite problematic site in the city of São Paulo: In the middle of a well-established urban block. By placing 24 apartments into a 250 square meters plot, the following project represents a attempt to adapt the contemporary life in the residual spaces and reinvent the alley’s role in the metropolitan areas.

URBAN CLEARINGS: PARIS AFTER THE OLYMPICS
Guided By: Professor Jean Leonard Developed with: Gabriela Gama e Maitê Campos Saint-Dennis, France. ENSA Paris-Malaquais [2019/1]
The cities of Paris and Saint-Dennis will host the Olympics in 2024. Taking this in consideration, the Paris-Malaquais students were invited to redesign the neighborhood where the Olympic village is being built and also the “Tour Pleyel”, a huge abandoned skyscraper located in Saint-Dennis. Our intervention is consisted by a system of clearings that connect a complex of green areas and the empty spaces along the tower. The program is basically: commercial and office spaces, student housing, conventional
housing, sports complexes and cultural complexes. All of this would be connected by indoor living spaces that are open to the city and follow the same logic implemented in the urban redesign. This proposal was strongly symbolic to understand the reasoning carried out by the actors who are rethinking the metropolis and designing the new architectural interventions in the Parisian suburbs, always bearing in mind the context of mass immigration, huge infrastructure projects and the ideas of urban decentralization in France.

CALEDONIAN JAVIER FERRERO Studio MK27 was hired to work on complex housing project in Madrid. Our team developed a retrofit of two existing buildings and designed a new one. The three volumes would be linked by a collective garden. Our project is located on a little street, calle Javier Ferrero that would be renoveted as well. The existing buildings were used as a factory and offices. Adapt to the new use was challenge, we opted to preserve the old structure and we tried to keep the buildings atmosphere and personality.
Developed with Marcio Kogan + Suzana Glogowski Studio MK27 [2018/1] Madrid, Spain.
I was designated to think about and draw the housing units. We developed almost 50 types of apartaments because this building conception consist in a very flexible and costumized housing proposal. The units range between 35 and 300 m², between studios and 4 bedrooms floor plans. Thus, this was an opportunity to design a building that blends the public interest and the private iniciative and think about the relation between the housing scale and the urban scale in Madrid, a dynamic and vibrant city.

This imagens represents the “piloto” apartment. This unit would be the first to be built. So our team desiged the furnitre, the interiors and the architecure details before. This apartment would be the sample for the potencial clients. In this unit there’s no circulation area, no closed kichen or laundry. There’s just a big living room and two big bedrooms, taking adventage of the 60m² available.
CULTURE HOUSE IN SÃO PAULO The proposal of a cultural establishment in Ponte Rasa, a dristrict located in the eastern zone of São Paulo, is more than a projectual exercise. It invites the debate of the future of brazilian cities and the culture’s roles in their transformation. For the project, I look towards the individual development of each of four programatic items: the library, the dance room, the workshop, and the exhibitions room, giving each space an enviromental treatment sensitie to it’s respective activity.
Guided By: Professor Angelo Bucci Developed Individually São Paulo, Brazil. FAU-USP [2017/2]
Therefore, I designed each box separatly, independent and interconected by a discrete building that blends into the neighborhood. The cultural activities would, consequently, take place in the large rooms, marquees, parks and in the whole space in between the main program. Of fine lines and well defined structures, the project shows not only an architectural proposal, but also a personal experiment for a more fluid and abstract public spaces design.

BARILLA PAVILION Studio MK27 was invited by Felippo Bricolo, a professor at Politecnico di Milano, to participate with his team of the Barilla Pavilion International Competition. The plot is located in Parma, Italy, next to the Barilla’s pasta factory. The proposal was to create a building that represents, at the same time, the tradition and the modernity in the process of food production. The pavillion would cover the main program: exhibition rooms, laboratories, stores and restaurants.
Developed with: Marcio Kogan + Mariana Simas Studio MK27 + Felippo Bricolo [2018/1] Parma, Italy.
I was designated to help the senior architects to concept the pavilon. Also, during the process of design I developed the layout and the graphic pieces of experience area, an exhibition room located on the second floor. The building is the result of an aggregation of environmental units located at diferente levels connected and structured through a system of ramps and service blocks that innervate the complex in the logic of a sequence of flexible and multifunctional spaces and paths.

SOCIAL HOUSING IN JARDIM HELENA This was a rigid proposal in a pereiferic region of São Paulo, due to its high risk of flooding. The development of this project was an interesting exercise about modular architecture in high density housing, low cost construction and the design of drain systems. The daining would work with the following components: an open basement that would allow the water intake and the

I consider, therefore, this moment an opportunity to design public architecture, morally and carefully in a region with high levels of social vulnerability in the city of São Paulo.

INVENTING THE GREATER PARIS METROPOLIS During my internship at 2Portzamparc in Paris, I was designated to compose the team that worked in the competiton “Inventing the Greater Paris Metropolis”. It was not a conventional comptition bearing in mind it works as an urban and architectural consultation whose the architects need to propose not just the building but also choose the plot between the available options in the Parisian suburbs, propose the program, find the main actors and then design a building.
#WINNER PROJECT# Developed with Elizabeth de Portzamparc Team 2Portzamparc [2019] Clichy, France. Our proposition is basically a huge buildings thought for metropolitan scale, with offices, hotel, coworking and apartaments located in Clichy, in the northwest of Paris. My role in the team was making several models at different escales to tryout the forms and the insertion at the urban fabric. Also I was the responsible to make diagrams and other kinds of schematic images.
