Somewhere in the way, such sense is disengaged from hospitals but remained in hotels. Hospitals began receiving patients or sick people, concentrating its focus on disease and not the patient and their well-being. Hotels instead, welcomed guests, pilgrims received courteously in nice facilities, with soft bed, warm showers and home-cooked meals. Marcelo Boeger

TARUMÃ The s i te cho s en f o r design location is in the district of Tarumã - nei g hb o urho o d o f Curitiba, w here is easily noticed a strong in f luence o f the “A g ache Plan”. This urban planning strategy conv e r ted the o ri g i nal s po ntaneous urban dev elopment to a new rad ia l p attern, wi th avenues leading to dow ntow n. Also in this area many avenues fulfills an important role connecting Curitiba to cities of Piraquara and Pinhais, therefore it keeps one of the main ideas of the plan: the attempt to prepare the city for a future with motorized routes. The Agache plan also defined different city land-uses, such as the “Tarumã sportive”, reason why the district concentrates many of the city’s sports structure, great places that today are unused or vandalised due its lack of use. Tarumã also has large green areas underestimated, and the design of the new

“My work is characterized by geometric forms interacting with organic marks. This is seen in a variety of ways, such as a rigid line next to a loose application o f p a i n t o r g r a d i e n t .
