MEMORANDUM TO:

Selected School Nutrition Directors

FROM:

Nancy Rice, Director School Nutrition Program

SUBJECT:

Mentoring Recognition Program

One of the benefits of working in Georgia’s School Nutrition Program is the sharing and networking that occurs amongst local school nutrition directors. The thirteenth annual Mentoring Awards will be presented at the School Nutrition Directors’ Conference in October 2015. These awards will be given to experienced directors who have assisted new directors with program-related operations and challenges. New directors who have five years or less experience in the School Nutrition Program (2011-2015) may nominate directors whom they feel served as a mentor to them. If you are part of this category, with five years or less experience, and feel that you received assistance from a more experienced director, I encourage you to nominate that director or directors for a Mentoring Award. Please complete the attached form to nominate your mentor and mail it to: Ms. Ramona Stevens, Georgia Department of Education, 1662 Twin Towers East, Atlanta, Georgia 30334, postmarked by September 11, 2015, or fax to (404) 463-3825. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Mary Ramsaier at mramsaier@doe.k12.ga.us. NR:MR:mj Attachment U:\RTAU\Awards&Recognition\2015\Mentoring\Mentoring Recognition Program SY 2015.doc
